“Would highly recommend Razan. She does a wonderful job looking after my two Maine Coon cats, one of whom requires two medications twice daily. I can see they both love having Razan stay. They look comfortable with her and are often photographed snuggled up to Razan. She also looks after my flat and leaves it so clean and tidy. Really, a lovely sitter. I have booked Razan again at short notice for a few days and she was able to accept, which was really helpful and much appreciated :)”

“Jewel was quick to respond to my request and asked many good questions before agreeing to house sit. She also wanted to have a meet and greet before our appointment which I really appreciated. She is very communicative, thorough in terms of what is expected and knowing what the dogs need, and very good-humored; she even took notes during our meeting. The dogs were immediately comfortable with her and I was perfectly confident leaving them in her care. She gave me updates during the day, and everything was great when I returned. The dogs were happy and so was I. I would certainly request her to stay with them again.”

About: I've cared for both dogs and cats my whole life-- I've never lived without a pet! I also have experience as a volunteer caretaker through my local animal shelter, and a deep passion for animal welfare and happiness. I work part-time and am a part-time student, so please check my calendar for availability. I have class from 4-9pm Tuesday & Wednesday and my work schedule is typically the day shift on Monday and Thursday. Again, if there are any deviances, I will mark them on the calendar! I'm happy to let your pet set the pace-- if they're a cuddle bug, I'll give them snuggles, and if they need some time to warm up, I'll sit quietly while they get used to me. If your puppy feels the need for speed, I'll take him on a sprightly jog, but if your senior prefers to take the scenic route, we can stop and sniff every tree. I'll listen to your instructions and preferences and theirs.
“Jessica was an absolutely amazing caregiver to our 16 1/2 year-old pup! She housesat, and watched her for seven days - keeping us updated along the way, while being completely self-sufficient and amazing at problem-solving. We are so glad we found her and look forward to booking more of her care for our dog!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better Rover sitter! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, sending regular updates and making us feel completely at ease. It honestly seemed like Winnie had the best time with her—I’m not even sure she missed us! She was also so respectful of our apartment. It’s such a relief to come home to a happy pup and a home that’s just as clean as we left it. We would absolutely book with her again and recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Winnie!”

“JJ was awesome with our pets. Lots of love and attention for our dog and cat plus the house was taken care of. Will definitely book again on our next trip. Thanks JJ for all your help!”

About: I have plenty of experience with animals, from catsitting and dogsitting for up to 2 months for a number of my friends and family to volunteering at animal shelters...and visiting tons of cat cafés. I have a sassy cat of my own (who is bathing herself with one of her back paws on my arm as I'm writing this) and treat all the animals in my care like they're as precious to me as she is, because I know those entrusting me with their furbabies feel for them like I feel for mine! I start clinicals at the end of August, so until then, I am available all day, every day pretty much. Starting from the end of August, I'll only be available on weekday evenings, and potentially all of the weekend if I don't have work. I will keep this updated. I will follow the guidelines provided by my clients to a T, asking any questions I may have concerning their feeding, walking, and general care instructions. My goal is to make my clients and their pets as comfortable as possible, because I'll be entering *their* homes!
“Yasmin took great care of our two cats and senior dog while we were away for two weeks. We received regular updates and left our place very clean. We really felt like we could trust Yasmin to take care of everyone's needs. Would definitely recommend!”

“Zuleyka was amazing! Spontaneous, very communicative and she handled the pups so so well! Thank you for taking such good care of them! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible dogsitter :)”

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was little and have always wanted a dog of my own. Luckily, I was able to grow up with my cousins’ dogs throughout my childhood! I have a lot of experience dog sitting for my friends and family. I enjoy taking long walks through the park by my home and will make sure your dog enjoys them as much as I do! I am an observant, attentive, and punctual person so your dog will be in very good hands! I will make sure to feed and walk your dog in a timely manner all while making sure they’re enjoying their time with me! Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priority and they will be treated like family! I am a new grad nurse born and raised in NYC. I’m currently at home for most of the week, making it possible to dog-sit, house-sit, host doggy day cares, and complete drop in visits. My schedule is pretty flexible, but I appreciate clear, advanced notices if any changes were to occur. I live on the second floor of a walk up in a dog friendly neighborhood. I also live right by multiple small parks so there are many places nearby to take your dog out for walks and get all their energy out!
“Shewta was so great with our pup, Rico! She was attentive, communicative, and sent us several photos throughout the day, along with updates. Rico can be stubborn (as bulldogs go) but Shewta managed him perfectly. Would have her back to watch Rico anytime!”

“Brianna is the best in the business by far, first off my pups loved her & she took extremely great care of my two huskies. Brianna is trust worthy & reliable. Brianna communicated everyday and sent pictures to keep in the loop. I was skeptical at first bringing a stranger in my home but Brianna changed that quickly for me. I would defend rebook Brianna.”

“Kaylamay exceeded my expectations dog sitting during my very first trip away from my puppy. She was so loving and attentive to Lucia, went above and beyond with any instruction I gave her about her daily routine, made sure she had plenty of exercise and playtime, and consistently sent photos and other updates throughout every single day to help ease my mind while away. She made the time away as easy as possible for both of us. I came home to a very happy puppy and a tidy home!”

“Audrey was great with my dog who had to have an unexpected surgery right before I left for vacation. She communicated well with me and kept me updated throughout her time with watching her.”

About: Hi I’m Jullia :) I love all things animals! I have 3 kitties at home that I spend quality time with daily: Kettlecorn, Honey Bun, and Hambone. I spent 4 years working at several doggie daycares and 1.5 years in a pet store, I’ve seen most kinds of pets and behaviors as a result. Please feel free to contact me with any preferences or questions regarding my services and I'd be happy to help. I also pride myself in responding quickly. Safety is always a priority when it comes to your pets so don't be afraid to reach out. I can't wait to meet your pets! I have 3 cats I spend quality time with daily! I currently work a 9-5 hybrid job, so pet care for me is usually in the early morning or in the evening. Feel free to send specific questions regarding my availability. I’m always attentive to specific instructions regarding safety. Please don’t hesitate to provide specifics about how to best maintain the safety of your animal, your home, and myself. Thank you!
“Isabel was fantastic with our pup while we were away. She was communicative, attentive, and clearly took great care of him. The regular updates gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“This was our third time having Kenine watch our dog, Sky, and she’s been amazing every time! She takes great care of Sky and always sends thoughtful updates and photos that give us so much peace of mind while we’re away. We’re so happy to have found someone we trust and are grateful to have her as our regular sitter. Highly recommend!”

Nellie was not only amazing with our pup, but she was also so personable with us! From the start, she communicated really well, asked thoughtful questions about our pup’s needs, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving her in Nellie’s care. It looks like our girl may have found another bestie! 🥰🐶 Thank you so much, Nellie! We truly appreciate you and will absolutely be reaching out again! ❤️

Tenzin is absolutely amazing - a hero and a lifesaver, truly can't say enough good things. She took care of two high-needs dogs (one is a a senior dog with multiple medical issues, the other has severe separation anxiety) while I was out of the country for a week. The older dog developed new symptoms just a few days before I left, and I almost canceled the trip, but Tenzin's experience and competence made me feel secure enough to go, and she kept up a constant flow of information and photos, so I knew the pups were well and happy!

Lilly was a great at-home sitter for my 4 month old puppy, Lila! Lilly tended to Lila’s needs, was affectionate with her, and was very responsive with me. She also consistently sent me adorable photos of my Lila while she was with her. Lilly also kept my space very clean. I will definitely hire her again :)

Charlie was fantastic. I needed a last minute pet sitter and am so glad I found him. He had great communication, fast response time, and my dog loved him and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing she was being well cared for. I've used Rover before and it has been an up and down experience due to people initially agreeing and then not responding or cancelling days later. I'm really happy to have found Charlie and can't tell you how much I appreciated his quick and reliable communication.

I had Jason watch my two cats while I was away for a few days and I am very happy with the service provided. I came back to everything the way I left it and all the cats things clean and organized. I had multiple follow ups and photos sent to me by Jason throughout the service. I would highly recommend and will definitely be booking with Jason moving forward!!
Syeda was great, she was able to take care of my home, keep my cats company while I was away. I was very satisfied with her service and I highly recommend booking her for you house sitting and cat care needs. Thanks so much for taking care of my home and cats. Your service allowed me to travel and not worry about my home. I’m very thankful. Lisa ✨

Daniela was great, very reliable and updated me regularly with the pups' pics. She took great care of them and had previously taken note of all relevant details at our meet and greet. Also, the house was spotless when we came back. Would totally recomend Daniela to take care of your pups and your home!

This was my first time having a sitter stay in my home and I could not ask for a better experience. Catherine took care of my 2 dogs and my home better than I could imagine. She provided daily updates with pictures and videos. She followed detailed directions and kept their routine up perfectly. She put me at ease while I was travelling so I could really focus on my trip. I came back to a clean house with happy dogs. I could see they were at ease with her too. She’s a pro. I would not hesitate to use her again. Thank u so much Catherine. 🙏💕

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in College Point on Rover is $64.72 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 19,148 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across College Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred College Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in College Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in College Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
