“Bryant was excellent with my senior dog. He was incredibly experienced in terms of my dog’s specific needs, including diaper changes and being mindful of her dementia traits. He was also very communicative and offered multiple updates throughout the day.”

“She did an awesome job house sitting Gatsby for a week! She sent us plenty of pictures and updates. He had a blast going on walks with her and playing fetch and tug. He has an irritation on his paw, so she made sure his cone was on when he wasn’t supervised. She fed him his medication with no problems. Highly recommend her to watch your pet if you are away on vacation!!!”

“Hadley is amazing house sitting for our cats and the best communicator with us! Always send pictures and answers all questions promptly. We came home to 2 happy kitties. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my babies were in good hands”

About: I treat every dog like family. I'm energetic, dependable, and full of golden retriever energy, I'll keep your pup safe, active, loved, and happy every visit. I'm currently working full-time hybrid schedule. So I'll be able to walk your dogs before and after work, as well as weekends, if needed. In the next couple months I expect to switch jobs to a more remote position. I have a fenced yard where your dog will be able to run around. I also have a crate (if needed), water bowl, and feeding bowl for when your dog is staying over.
“Joane was great with our dog, Rosie. She gave us updates, and contacted us appropriately with a question about the house. I have already booked her for another pet sitting with Rosie.”
“Kevin took great care of our house and pups! He took them on plenty of walks and left our house tidy and clean. We got plenty of updates while we were gone and loads of pictures. We will absolutely be rebooking with him in the future!!”

“My dog is feisty and doesn’t get along well with nearly anyone, but she loved Sara! Very responsible and communicative in important situations. She stayed at our apartment and left it cleaner than we did! Would highly recommend!”

“Lia was incredible! We have two dogs - one large Golden Retriever and one small Shiba Inu. She handled both of them perfectly, especially our Shiba who is very shy and scared of new people. She sent updates, pictures, kept our place incredibly clean and abided by all the house/dog rules. Will only be booking Lia again moving forward.”

“This was our first time having Razan watch our cat, and she was fantastic! She is proactive, considerate, and highly communicative. I especially appreciated that she took the time to meet our cat beforehand to learn how to administer his asthma inhaler. While we were away, she was attentive to all his needs and sent daily photos and updates. We returned to a clean and tidy apartment. Thank you so much, Razan!”

About: Raising my own pup since 3 months old I tend to cherish every moment I can. In my personal life I do photography and would love to capture those special moments with your pups. Full Time I am a photographer which allows me to be extremely flexible for your furry friends. Anytime and anywhere I am ready to care for your pups while also capturing some cute pictures in the process! My home consists of a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with plenty of space for the pup to lounge. I also have a very huge fenced backyard for the pup to run as much as they please. Personally I own a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier who’s 6 years old and 55lbs. He is extremely friendly, gentle with smaller dogs, and still loves to run around and play at his age. If needed he can be isolated from your dog via separate rooms.
About: I've cared for both dogs and cats my whole life-- I've never lived without a pet! I also have experience as a volunteer caretaker through my local animal shelter, and a deep passion for animal welfare and happiness. I work part-time and am a part-time student, so please check my calendar for availability. I have class from 4-9pm Tuesday & Wednesday and my work schedule is typically the day shift on Monday and Thursday. Again, if there are any deviances, I will mark them on the calendar! I'm happy to let your pet set the pace-- if they're a cuddle bug, I'll give them snuggles, and if they need some time to warm up, I'll sit quietly while they get used to me. If your puppy feels the need for speed, I'll take him on a sprightly jog, but if your senior prefers to take the scenic route, we can stop and sniff every tree. I'll listen to your instructions and preferences and theirs.
“Jewel was quick to respond to my request and asked many good questions before agreeing to house sit. She also wanted to have a meet and greet before our appointment which I really appreciated. She is very communicative, thorough in terms of what is expected and knowing what the dogs need, and very good-humored; she even took notes during our meeting. The dogs were immediately comfortable with her and I was perfectly confident leaving them in her care. She gave me updates during the day, and everything was great when I returned. The dogs were happy and so was I. I would certainly request her to stay with them again.”

“We had such a great experience with Dana. She was attentive, responsible, and kept us updated while we were away, which we really appreciated. Our pets were happy and well cared for, and our home was in perfect condition when we returned. It made traveling so much less stressful knowing everything was in such good hands. Highly recommend Dana!”

“Kaylamay is a fantastic sitter for our wee pup Killy. We always know Killy is in good hands and will get plenty of walks, treats and play. I'd definitely recommend Kaylamay for house sitting and have already booked our next stay.”

“Beverly was a godsend for me, full stop. My plans for taking care of my dog fell through at the last minute before the holidays and Beverly swooped right in for the rescue. She gave me updates throughout the week during the busiest time of the year and made sure my dog felt right at home without me there. Beverly went above and beyond what I expected of her and the apartment was left better than she found it. I’d recommend her to anyone and everyone in a heartbeat.”

I had Jason watch my two cats while I was away for a few days and I am very happy with the service provided. I came back to everything the way I left it and all the cats things clean and organized. I had multiple follow ups and photos sent to me by Jason throughout the service. I would highly recommend and will definitely be booking with Jason moving forward!!
Daniela was great, very reliable and updated me regularly with the pups' pics. She took great care of them and had previously taken note of all relevant details at our meet and greet. Also, the house was spotless when we came back. Would totally recomend Daniela to take care of your pups and your home!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Locust Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Locust Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Locust Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
