“I love this dynamic duo. It’s super sweet to have my pup being walked together with Mel and Travis. They made sure Oso was warm and chill days. They were both very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.”

“Sarah is an incredible dog walker for my senior dog. She was consistently reliable, communicative, and clearly cared deeply about my dog’s well-being. Sarah was attentive to our dog’s needs, accommodating, and always made us feel at ease knowing he was in good hands. I truly appreciated her professionalism, kindness, and the genuine care she showed throughout our time working together. I am grateful for all of her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker.”

About: I have more than 5 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, as well as birds. I love animals, and I am confident that I will care for them as if they were my own. I am a single woman, and my work schedule gives me time to go for walks in the mornings, so I am available to walk your pet. I also have weekends free, and I can provide pet care in my home as well. My home is very close to a large park where I go running in the mornings. I am sure your pet will love it. My apartment is also pet-safe, and there is nothing dangerous that could harm your pet.
About: I started working with pets at the start of the pandemic, when my mom surprised the household with an energetic and anxious goldendoodle. He was 50 pounds and 5 feet long, and insisted on peeing in every corner of the house. I dedicated myself to training him, and he now serves as a service animal for mental health disorders. In the last six years, I have worked with dogs of all breeds and sizes, rabbits, birds, and cats. I can't wait to get to know your fur-baby :) I am available everyday between the hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm, but am able to make other arrangements if needed. Please feel free to contact me if amended hours are needed! My services include providing multiple daily walks, food, potty breaks, and playtime with your pet (dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds) in your home. I am also able to train pets at all levels of obedience to perform a series of tricks ranging from sit to retrieving medications.

“Jessica and her husband Ulisies have been a wonderful help for my family during a very trying time. I couldn't be more grateful for the way they have shown up to walk my dog and shower her with love and affection as if she was their own. Wonderful service and wonderful people overall. Will definitely continue working with them!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since I was a child, from playful puppies to senior dogs who need extra love and patience. I have volunteered at our local animal shelter where I took care of mummies and disabled dogs. I currently do not have a dog, and have plenty of love and care to give to yours! I work from home and will have flexibility based on your dog's needs. I am happy to board your dog during the day or overnight, and I will be able to take them out for as many walks as needed. I am currently in a house with a fenced backyard, giving dogs extra space to safely play, explore, and get fresh air throughout the day. In general, I follow instructions to the T. You can have peace of mind. For boarding, I am happy to follow your instructions including crating and walk schedule.
About: I am a highly skilled pet caregiver based in the Bronx with extensive experience in managing the care of dogs and cats in the city and the boroughs. I have successfully handled anxious and high-energy pets, as well as animals with complex dietary needs and challenging leash behaviors. I am more than capable of caring for pets with detailed care instructions. When entrusted with your pet, you can expect frequent and detailed photo and text updates to keep you informed on how your fur baby is doing. I guarantee to keep your pet entertained and engaged in your absence, ensuring a worry-free experience for you. Your pet will receive the same level of care and attention as if they were my own! I work part-time in the entertainment industry, so I have a very flexible schedule. I update my Rover calendar weekly. For the time being, I can only accept bookings accessible by NYC public transportation, including Metro-North and NJ Transit. I have been vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. I am happy to wear a mask when interacting with humans in your home if requested - I may also mask for my safety. For dogs' safety, I do not take dogs to dog parks, take them off-leash, or simultaneously walk dogs from different households unless I am extremely familiar with the dogs' behavior and the activity is approved by the owners.
“Alexis is a wonderful dog walker. He is a fast walker, so if you have a big dog, don't worry if they'll get enough exercise. He was on time and communicative. I would recommend Alexis to any person who needs a reliable dog walker.”

About: Most of my pet care experience is actually on my resume I've been working pet related jobs my whole life and so this is my first time actually doing it as a service on my own. I'm looking forward to letting my experience shine here on Rover to show exactly what sets me apart from the rest. I have been living in a zoo my whole life so essentially throwing in a few more pets really wouldn't be an issue to me. I have a set schedule for my pets to be fed routinely however if I am advised upon providing food to your pet at a specific time I'll just follow your rules because I'm pretty sure that your pet is already accustomed to the feeding schedule that you may have them on.

About: I am a vet assistant in a clinic located in the Bronx. I started off as a volunteer and worked my way up. I love all pets and taking care of them. I also use to work in a dog daycare before becoming an employer at the clinic. I work with pets all the time when not in school and I have two of my own. About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, and they tend to trust me quickly. I’ve cared for many different pets over the years, including dogs, small animals, and birds. I feed and water them everyday as well as charge the litter box of my rabbit as I trained him to learn to do his business in his litterbox. I also help my disabled neighbor walk their dog whenever nobody is home I always prioritize safety, comfort, and trust when caring for pets in my home or a client’s (or neighbors) home. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I take time to build trust with every pet, allowing them to adjust at their own pace. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Borough of Bronx
I have been working with Brandon for the past couple of weeks while I have been fostering a puppy, Zen. I cannot say enough good things about him! First off he is great with Zen. He treats Zen as if he’s his own. Brandon has helped build Zen’s leash skills. He very patient with him and encouraging. He sends me great notes about the walks and Zen’s overall behavior. I look forward to working with Brandon with other foster pups or my own. Yours is in good hands when with Brandon. I can’t recommend him enough.

Brenda was wonderful! He arrived right on time, gave great feedback after the walk, and it was clear my dog really enjoyed spending time with her. He was professional, communicative, and caring throughout the experience. I would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker.

This was my second time booking with Hector, and once again he did an excellent job caring for my dog. He is reliable, communicative, and always attentive to my dog’s needs. I appreciate how respectful and professional he is when coming into my home, which makes the entire experience stress-free. It’s reassuring to know my dog is in good hands, and I will definitely continue rebooking with him in the future.

Emmanuel has been walking my dog Phoenix for over a year daily and he is amazing. She can be a very anxious and dog reactive Shepherd but he handles her very well and makes her feel safe. She loves him and gets so excited everytime she sees him. Emmanuel is very communicative with any changes in his schedule or if he is running late to a walk and I appreciate that so much. He's become family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
