Erick was great about giving a very thorough update and made me feel at ease the whole time. It’s my first time using Rover so I’m very grateful to find someone who doesn’t mind how neurotic I am about keeping my dog’s paws clean!

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life! I was raised with cats and two dobermans, and I began regularly pet sitting locally in my early teens. I’m comfortable with administering medicine, and I love getting to know pets and taking care of their needs! I am knowledgeable about training and am detail oriented to make sure your pet is comfortable and following their daily routine as closely as possible. I currently have two kitties at home and appreciate how important it is to find an attentive pet sitter for your beloved pets! Thank you in advance for trusting me with your sweet animal(s)! I’m currently working part time, and I am able to comfortably arrange my schedule to fit your pets’ needs! While I do not board, I am regularly available to stay overnight to house/pet sit! I understand how important it is to build trust between pet owners and sitters as well as between the pets themselves and their sitters! I am detail oriented and will check with you to make sure I understand your pet and their needs, and I love to send updates and photos to check in with owners!

About: I’ve been passionately caring for dogs since I was 13 years old. Over the years, I’ve fostered and adopted multiple dogs, specializing in communication-based training, housebreaking, and custom communication techniques. I’ve successfully trained dogs to express their needs clearly—whether signaling to go outside, asking for water, or communicating when it's mealtime! Currently, I balance my college studies with working professionally as a dog handler. Because of my professional background in canine behavior and training, I understand how dogs think, learn, and communicate. Whether your dog needs structured exercise, high-energy playtime, or just a calm, confident handler while you're away, they will be in expert hands. Current Fall Schedule (August – December) I balance professional training and college courses, which keeps my routine structured and consistent. I am available for bookings on specific days each week: Morning Shift Days (Work 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM): Fully available for afternoon walks, drop-ins, evening visits, and overnight house sitting starting after 2:30 PM. Evening Shift Days (Work 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM): Available for early morning walks, breakfast drop-ins, and mid-day visits up until 1:00 PM. Overnight House Sitting: Available regularly! As long as your dog can be left comfortably during my work/class hours, I provide full overnight care, evening exercise, and morning routines. Winter & Spring Availability (Starting January) Beginning in December, my college semester ends and my availability expands significantly. I will have full, open availability alongside my standard work shifts for drop-ins, walks, and boarding/sitting. When staying at or visiting a client's home, safety, clear communication, and keeping your dog happy and comfortable are my top priorities: Potty Breaks & Routine Maintenance: I stick strictly to your pet's established routine for outdoor breaks, feeding times, and bedtime to keep their environment feeling familiar and stress-free. Appetite & Engagement Solutions: If a dog is feeling anxious or hesitant to eat in a new routine, I use low-impact playtime, light exercise, or gentle mental stimulation to help them settle in, relax, and get their digestive system moving naturally. Home Security & Respect: I treat your home with total respect—keeping doors securely locked, maintaining a clean space, and following all specific instructions regarding gated areas, crate routines, or security systems. Constant Communication & Updates: You will receive regular photo updates, routine check-ins, and immediate communication so you always have total peace of mind while you're away. (Note: I currently do not offer boarding services inside my own home, focusing 100% of my attention on on-site house sitting, drop-in visits, and walking.)

About: I grew up with dogs of all kinds back in my country, Georgia. I fed and took care of many feral dogs as well as domestic. Over the last two years, I've assisted my partner in her dog walking endeavors and have learned a lot about their behaviors. I'm very strong and can make sure your dog will be safe and active with me, if needed. I have experience with different breeds including the Caucasian Shepherd, large mixes and apartment breeds. My schedule is very flexible so I have open availability at the moment. I'm looking forward to walking your pup any time, any day. I have a yard at home and a puppy and cats to keep them company. My partner is also usually home to care for them if I need to be anywhere. Whether at mine or yours, I will follow their schedule and make sure your pup is thriving.

Krstine is AMAZING. This was our first time hiring a dog walker/sitter outside of the family and I could not have chosen a better person than Kristine. She is so caring and attentive and you can tell is a true animal lover. She made sure to know everything there was to know about my dog, made sure the temperature in our home was cool enough for her, made sure her water bowl was full and she had her pre-approved treats, and sent me updates and pictures. Every picture my baby had the biggest smile on her face and I am so happy to have found someone that I quickly came to trust so completely with her. Thank you Kristine!

About: We’re Justin and Esther—animal lovers with years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. Justin has had pets his whole life, starting with a sweet cat named China, who had a litter of kittens he raised until their passing. Today, we care for Lunae Lux, our energetic Siberian Husky, and Fayth, Justin’s affectionate cat. For Esther, being surrounded by animals was always a dream—and marrying Justin made it a reality. It’s allowed her to bond deeply with both Lunae and Fayth, fulfilling her lifelong wish to share her days with furry companions. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or training, we’re passionate about giving every pet the care and love they deserve. Animals are the first and most important priority of the day, afternoon and night. They are like children in that aspect, or fur children as people say. My cat and dog get along very well. I have trained my Siberian Husky to be more understanding and caring to smaller animals such as cats.

About: I have provided care for everyone. I’ve taken care of babies, children, elders, cats and now dogs. I had my first sitting job for a friend last summer and I am ready to take on the challenge again. I am self employed, working from home daily. I spend most of my time with Violet and Blue, two very high energy and affectionate Maltese. We go for long walks around the greenway and practice new commands regularly. I adhere to the schedule the client has enforced and implement lots of play to support coping with not having their human companion at home.

Arianna has been nothing short of a godsend! She not only walks Titan, who is 135 pound Cane Corso puppy, but she has also trained him. She is so professional, loving, organized, and knowledgeable that I wish I had found her sooner. When I got home after their first day together, it was like I had a brand new dog. He listened so attentively to his commands. He was so much better at loose leash walking, and he seemed to be over his Dog reactivity issues and I credit Arianna to this fully. I saw on my ring camera, how loving and patient she was with him each time. She took him out and brought him back, and I could tell by the way that he looked at her that he loved her and respected her immediately. I think everybody should have a walker as great knowledgeable, professional, and loving as Arianna. It was very hot that day, and she was also attentive to making sure his water dish was filled after each walk and she made sure he drank water before he went on his walks, and in addition, she also brought water and a dish on their walks because she was concerned about him.

  • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
