“Sophia was amazing with Loxi while I was away. She would come greet her every night and play with her as she got her ready for her walk. My doggie who is normally pretty sad when I am away was playful and happy the whole time in large part due to Sophia!!! :) From the meet and greet to the end of my vacation, Sophia put in so much care, attention and love into caring for my doggy I cannot express how much I appreciate it and and so grateful so her to have been cared for so well while I was away. I would definitely have Sophia walk my doggy again anytime!!”

“Adam is responsive, caring and attentive! He goes above and beyond the call of duty (eg walked Finn for an extra 15 minutes to let him enjoy the weather) I would recommend him to anyone who loved their pup!”

“Rosanna is an awesome care taker. She formed such a sweet bond with our girl. Always attentive, offering recommendations from vets to new treats. We loved reading her daily synopsis from their walks and sharing her photos from the day. Definitely recommend.”

“After using Ziyi on several occasions, it is clear that she consistently demonstrated patience, kindness, and genuine care for my anxious dog. I always feel completely at ease knowing my dog is in her capable hands. She’s reliable, attentive, and genuinely cares for the dogs she walks. I would 100% use her again and highly recommend Ziyi to anyone looking for a caring and dependable person to look after/ walk their dog.”

“Sydney has been awesome! Our pup truly seems to enjoy his time with her and he’s well taken care of in our absence. We appreciate Sydney’s help as our pup adjusts to us not being home more regularly.”

“We had an excellent experience! Emma was incredibly reliable, always on time, and communicated clearly throughout. It was obvious she treated our pet with genuine care and professionalism, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, trustworthy, and professional pet sitter/walker.”

“She is great with dogs! My wife was a witness of Tobi behaving great while walking with Brie as opposed to how he pulls and barks all the time when he walks with us. She was really accomodating when I contacted on the last minute because our usual walker got sick. 100% recomendable and depenable!”

“Anna gave me utmost confidence that my pet was in safe, loving hands. Great communicator and will definitely look for her availability in the future!”

About: I’ve had a dog all my life (two labs), have take care of neighbors pets and volunteered at an animal shelter in highschool. I’m a true dog lover I am available on the weekends. I woke from home Monday and Friday which are lighter days for me with availability to dog walk or sit. I live in an apartment so I would take your dog on a walk or could watch them at your apartment as mine is too small!
“Britni is super helpful, responsive, and kind! My dog was shy to warm up to her but she has earned her trust quickly and thoughtfully! We will be definitely rebooking Britni!”

“Mariele is amazing! She did a wonderful job winning our anxious dog over and dealing with her many quirks. She also sends amazingly detailed recaps that we love! Would absolutely recommend.”

About: I offer a boutique, limited-client approach to pet care focused on attention, consistency, and trust. I intentionally keep my client list small so each pet receives individualized care and a calm, safe experience. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals, and I pay close attention to each animal’s comfort, behavior, and routine. I’m comfortable supporting puppies who need structure and consistency, as well as senior pets who may need a slower pace, patience, medication support, or extra attentiveness. What sets me apart is a combination of hands-on animal care, strong communication, and a thoughtful, observant approach. I hold a Master’s degree in psychology, which informs how I read behavior, respond calmly, and build trust with both animals and people. I’m also a professional photographer, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to offer attentive, personalized care. I love photographing pets and people, and I enjoy sharing thoughtful photo updates during walks or stays so owners feel connected and reassured. I provide dog walking, pet sitting, and overnights with safety, reliability, and clear communication as priorities. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care so pets feel comfortable and owners feel at ease. Please note: I have a young child in the home, so it’s important that owners disclose any history of aggression toward people or other dogs, bites within the past 2 years, or behavior concerns such as destructive chewing or indoor spraying/marking. This is rarely an issue, but if a pet damages furniture due to chewing, spraying, or similar behavior, the owner will be responsible for replacement costs. Pets in my care are allowed on furniture, and I’m unable to offer boarding or daycare in my home for dogs that spray/mark indoors. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine alongside my work as a professional photographer, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop ins, and overnight care. I intentionally keep a limited client list so I can provide dependable, personalized attention and maintain consistency for the pets in my care. I am available for weekday, evening, and weekend care, including holiday bookings. I prioritize safety, consistency, and a calm environment while respecting each pet’s routine and comfort level. In a client’s home, I follow feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions carefully, keep doors and leashes secure, and pay close attention to behavior and wellbeing. I maintain a clean, low stress environment, provide thoughtful supervision, and communicate clearly with photo updates and check ins so owners feel informed and reassured.
“Vanessa is very communicative and always on time & responsive. She’s been a star working with our very skittish and nervous bernese and has successfully made friends with our dog - which is hard to do. We are very happy to have found her!”

“Coby did an excellent job walking our pup! He has been responsive throughout the process and took the time to come meet her before the first walk. Coby is reliable and we’ll definitely use him again!”

“Todd walked my large pile of energy regularly for months and Winston loved him! He was super communicative and flexible, which was very appreciated for my ever-changing work schedule.”

“Minako is amazing! She looks after my 4 month Cavapoo and loves her like she was her own. Minako always sends pictures and updates. I’m so grateful that I’m able to leave my puppy home and trust that she is in great hands with Minako coming to take her on walks.”

Dona was able to help me out with a few days notice as my original plans for my dog as I recover from surgery had ended up changing after I got back home. Really appreciate her coming through and being available to help me out especially when you’ve been ordered by the doctor to not walk your dog for at least two weeks.

Samantha literally could not have been any better! She watched my pup for about a week and a half, and took such incredible care of him. He was coming down from a stomach bug when I dropped him, and she was so diligent with his medicine and providing me updates. She also got hit with a LOT of weather (like wildfire smoke, tornado watches, it was a time) and I never had to worry about him because she always knew just what to do and made sure he was safe indoors when necessary and got as many walks and breaks as were possible/safe. So many photos of the two of them cuddling. She clearly fell in love with him over the week, and I don’t think she wanted to give him back 🤣 will be using her for literally every trip possible!

John is an absolutely incredible dog walker for Hal over the past year, walking him four days a week. He is exceptionally communicative, responsive, reliable, and accommodating, and we always know Hal isin wonderful hands with him. The clearest testament to John is Hal’s reaction every time he arrives—Hal is beyond excited to see him, and we’re fairly certain John is his favorite person in the world! Their bond is genuinely special and gives us so much confidence and peace of mind. We could not recommend John more highly to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and truly exceptional dog walker. If we could give him more than five stars, we absolutely would!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
