“Adam is responsive, caring and attentive! He goes above and beyond the call of duty (eg walked Finn for an extra 15 minutes to let him enjoy the weather) I would recommend him to anyone who loved their pup!”

“Minako is amazing! She looks after my 4 month Cavapoo and loves her like she was her own. Minako always sends pictures and updates. I’m so grateful that I’m able to leave my puppy home and trust that she is in great hands with Minako coming to take her on walks.”
“Rachael is so sweet with our large dog. He loves walking with her. She is great at communicating with us and gives us a detailed report of everything after the walks. She is very warm and compassionate. Would highly recommend!”

“Anna was super sweet and so flexible to my schedule. My dog loved her and she took amazing care of him. It was so nice to have someone I felt comfortable with walking my dog while I wasn't feeling well, she's a life saver!”

“Jake is a responsible and sincere young man. He was willing to walk Otis early in the morning and late at night—times that many walkers tend to avoid. He was always prompt and handled Otis with a calm, confident approach. I’m very happy with his service.”

“Valeria was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was super reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring throughout the entire experience. I’m so grateful for all of her help and felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in great hands. She was attentive, thoughtful, and made everything so easy and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend Valeria to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and dependable to care for their pet. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again!”

“Raul is the best there is. His organization, proactive communication and warm aura give me confidence my puppy is in great hands. He is thoughtful and sharp, and considers matters related to her comfort and health before they become issues. In advance of my girl’s evening walks, he checks the forecast and communicates inclement weather that may require additional planning; that attention to detail is invaluable. 11/10!! We love him!”

“So incredibly helpful, went above and beyond for my dog. I would 100% use again. Really great with keeping you in the loop and being mindful in the heat”

“Vanessa is very communicative and always on time & responsive. She’s been a star working with our very skittish and nervous bernese and has successfully made friends with our dog - which is hard to do. We are very happy to have found her!”

“Elisabeth was wonderful to coordinate with and was extremely responsive and prompt. She gave a detailed account of his walk with many photos. I would love to work with her again!”

“Amazing! Such professionalism and attention to Harley’s needs. I highly recommend sharing Rosanna as a qualified Dog guru. Thank you Rosanna for helping with my babies happiness.”

“Carmela has been doing an excellent job walking our two dogs! She’s very loving with them and always sends daily updates on how their walks went! Thank you!!”

About: My family always had dogs growing up so I have a lot of experience with dogs of various temperaments, sizes, and needs. At one point we had one big dog and two little dogs who didn’t get along so I am also familiar with taking care of dogs who don’t get along and how to keep them separated if needed. I have also lived with and elderly cat and a small kitten so I am familiar with cat care as well! I am in nursing school full time Tuesday-Thursday but can take care of your pets before/after classes as well as my days off. Open to overnight care as well as drop ins for walks, pets, and feeding. I will take care of your animals as if they were my own. Let me know of any special instructions and I will be sure to follow them. Excited to meet your pets!

“Gabriela took great care of my Olive. We did 2 walks in 1 day and she did a great job with both. He is definitely high energy and she was able to run him around enough to tire him out. I definitely recommend!”

About: Hello! I am a full time writer who works from home and adores both dogs and cats. I’m very active, so I love taking long walks. I have a very flexible schedule that allows for frequent interaction, play, and cuddles with your pet(s) and I will treat your fur babies like they are my own! I’d love to add a dog to my family, but I travel far too much at the moment, so taking care of your pet is truly a honor and a privilege for me! I also have extensive experience with cats and I would be very happy to care for your feline friends as well. I am able to administer medications, and able to handle pets with anxiety/other behavioral issues (within reason). My schedule is very flexible so I am able to dedicate plenty of time during the week/on weekends to your pups and kitties. I also love talking long walks/runs and very happy to bring along your pet. I have a cat so I prefer to board dogs that get along or at least tolerate cats, but I have a few different rooms, so if necessary, they can be separated for most of the visit.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was around 6 years old, I’ve had a small dog from pup to senior and a cat in the past and I’ve taken good care of them by providing a good environment, playtime, walks, and feeding. Also, I provide attentive care and photos and videos of your pets. I go on quick errands sometimes but mostly spend my time at home. I’’ll have plenty of time to play with and care for your pets. I’m available to board daily or weekly. In the clients home I care for their pets by feeding them, providing fresh cool water, following your routine, and providing a safe environment for them. .

About: I have taken care of dogs of my own my whole life. As well as dogs of friends and family for many years. I believe there are no bad dogs. I currently have open availability during the day. I am a masters student at Baruch College where I attend night classes from 6-9pm 3 nights a week. Although I do not offer care in my own home, I promise to respect, keep clean and safe, you and your pets home with even better care than I would my own.

Natalie was great with my dog Daphne! I felt completely confident that Daphne was happy and safe in her care. Natalie was very responsive, sent lots of photos, and provided thorough updates after each visit. She followed all of my instructions closely, and Daphne seemed so happy and comfortable with her. I would absolutely book Natalie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and reliable dog walker or sitter!

Paul was very responsible and reliable. I made a mistake with the addresses, but he was still able to handle the walk and provide great service. I really appreciate his flexibility and professionalism. I’ll definitely use his service again in the future. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
