“Mary went above and beyond taking care of my two cats while I was gone for a full week. One of my cats had a few accidents while I was away and Mary when the extra mile, ensuring he was okay and cleaning up the area. She also was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and gave my cat so much love! I could not recommend her enough!”

Besides being professional and accommodating—she took my booking on extremely short notice when an urgent out-of-town meeting came up—she was remarkably attentive. Jessica was extremely accommodating and really loving towards our senior cat Tarini! Our cat loves attention and it was so good to hear that Jessica keenly played kibble "fetch" during the drop in visits on top of checking in on her litter & water. Highly recommend Jessica as a cat sitter! :)

Ziyi has been absolutely incredible, and I couldn’t be happier that she’s the one caring for my dog. Since he’s a rescue, he can get very anxious outside and needs someone who’s patient and understanding. Ziyi has been exactly that. She always takes the time to work with him at his own pace, and I can tell she genuinely cares about making him feel safe and comfortable. She also makes sure he gets plenty of playtime and mental stimulation during her visits. Every time I come home, he’s happy, relaxed, and content, which gives me so much peace of mind. I can’t recommend her enough!

Mila is truly the best. There’s no one else I’d trust to watch our spicy cat 🌶️🐱. Its so hard to leave our cat, but Mila makes it a bit easier. Mila is super responsive & sends daily updates/photos— which we so appreciate! Our cat usually hides when new people enter the apartment. But with Mila’s patience & kindness— our cat is taking small steps toward warming up. Thank you so much, Mila!!

Genevieve was a fantastic cat sitter. Besides being professional and accommodating—she took my booking on extremely short notice when an urgent out-of-town meeting came up—she was remarkably attentive. I received wonderful photos of my cat, Misha, as well as detailed updates on his eating and behavior. She made me feel confident that he was well cared for. I would absolutely book Genevieve again for any pet of mine. She's a superb communicator with a real gift for connecting with animals.

I’ve booked with Kyleen to watch my cat 7 times now, and she is always kind and communicative. She takes good care of my kitty, who seems to love her, and she is always is willing to go above and beyond in her care for my cat. During my most recent booking, Kyleen was able to arrange her schedule to come last minute for a somewhat emergency visit, which was greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend booking with Kyleen!

Carter was exceptional!!! Besides the fact that my cat loved him he was sweet, communicative, sent a great amount of photos and updates, stayed longer than asked, went above and beyond and I came back to my fluffball happier than ever!! I hope to book Carter every time I go out of town ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
