About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals my entire life. Back home in Ohio, I’ve had 7 cats, 2 dogs, a horse, a chinchilla, and a bearded dragon. I’ve dog sat for rescues and I’m also good with dogs that have walking/pulling troubles. Happy to feed some fish too if needed! I’ve just graduated and my schedule differs by the day, so I’m looking at getting back in to pet care! It’s been awhile because I’ve been finishing up my degree, but I’ve already done some pet sitting while in school, so I know that I am able to work with my time well and can manage any job/needs with clear communication now that I’m out of school. Long story short - I’ll make time for you and your pets! I’m sensitive to each pet’s individual needs. Each dog is different and unique, and I prioritize getting to know their personality. I also have experience calming pet anxiety and managing unpredictable rescues.
About: I've grown up with dogs, and I hope it's only right that I continue to share my love for them in adulthood. I'm beyond grateful for the trust my friends and family have put in me to care for, walk, and train their dogs for the last couple of years. I hope to get to share my love for your furry friend next! As a full-time student it's difficult for me to find a job that fits into my busy schedule. School can be stressful and tiring, but I always found being with pets keeps my energy alive. I believe it's important to get to know a pet to satisfy their needs including: needing to go outside, feeling anxious, hungry, etc. I pay very close attention to the behavior of my pets to ensure their quality of life is at its highest with me.
“Britni is fantastic!! We had a travel issue and ended up getting home from a trip much later than anticipated and she was able to come at the last minute and walk our dog Luna and feed her dinner and hang out with her for a few hours. Luna can be a little shy, but seems to have warmed up to Britni pretty quickly. Highly recommend her!”

About: My house grew up with a lot of animals. Currently I have 2 dogs and 2 cats! We’ve also helped foster stray dogs and cats in our area and helped find them loving homes. I am well-versed with both dogs and cats! I’m currently a grad student around Midtown! I have a lot of flexibility. I spend most of my time taking care of my own cat and would love to spend time helping others! I really prioritize making pets feel safe and seen. I love playing with pets, petting them, and feeding them. Pets are just really easy to love honestly!
About: Animals have been drawn to me my whole life, just as I have been drawn to them! I’ve had about every pet you could think of, and even went vegan for ethical reasons and never went back! Dogs have a very special place in my heart. I’m comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs, I will dedicate my time to loving them just like you do! If possible, I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away. I have a sweet dog of my own, a cockapoo, who is full of energy and curiosity! I couldn’t live without him. I work from home 4 days a week which allows me to spend lots of quality time playing in the park and making new furry friends! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When I’m with your pets, I would love to take your precious babies for walks, to parks, or take on anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - New York City
This was our first time having Britni take care of our two kitties and it was at short notice with a fairly recent tweak to their food/medicine regimen - so much so we weren’t sure we’d keep the trip on the books. Britni took great care of them and was very diligent and communicative both ahead of and during the visits to ensure that all was well, we had great peace of mind knowing she was so ‘on it’. The updates and pics were consistent and appreciated - both cats really took to her and seemed very happy and relaxed. We’re really glad to have a great new sitter to call on!

Jennifer is THE BEST! I knew from the moment I met her that my boys would be in good hands, and I am so grateful for the incredible peace of mind she gave me while I was away. She truly went above and beyond to take care of them—cleaning their water fountain when they dropped food in it, picking up more treats when they ran out, and keeping me updated on their finicky stomachs. She also sends the most WONDERFUL updates with the sweetest, silliest photos. I could tell that Bobby and Jasper really enjoyed spending time with her (and I've never seen them warm up to someone so fast!). It is so clear that caring for pets isn't just a job for her; it is a genuine passion. I will definitely be booking with Jennifer again!

Melissa was an excellent sitter for our cat! She was thoughtful and responsive throughout our time away. We felt so relieved knowing our cat was in such caring hands. We’re so grateful for the wonderful, considerate care she provided and would happily book with her again!

We have trusted Emily many times to care for our cat, Chibi, and she is always reliable and communicative. This past trip, we had a grocery delivery that I thought had been cancelled and she brought it up and unloaded it into our fridge without being asked. That extra level of thoughtfulness makes us feel so safe leaving our home and cat in her care. We are so grateful for her!

Katherine is an absolute star and your animals will not only be in good hands with her — they will have a GREAT time while you’re away. My cats had a field day with their new friend while we were gone :) My husband and I were very nervous to leave our two kitten brothers alone for the first time — we scheduled an additional visit before we left so Katherine could come over to meet the kitties and walk through everything. Our cats absolutely fell in love with her! She is very prompt and communicative, and she takes pictures that are so good (truly — some framers here) you’ll feel completely at ease that your pets are in the best hands. We watched our cats relax and let loose in real time. She also has two cats of her own and you can tell how much she absolutely loves animals. Give your pets a real vacation while you’re away - book with Katherine!

Nathan did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Birdie, for a week! He was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout, and sent so many photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear Birdie was in great hands! Would absolutely book with him again & highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
