About: Animals have been drawn to me my whole life, just as I have been drawn to them! I’ve had about every pet you could think of, and even went vegan for ethical reasons and never went back! Dogs have a very special place in my heart. I’m comfortable around all pets and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your pets, I will dedicate my time to loving them just like you do! If possible, I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away. I have a sweet dog of my own, a cockapoo, who is full of energy and curiosity! I couldn’t live without him. I work from home 4 days a week which allows me to spend lots of quality time playing in the park and making new furry friends! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When I’m with your pets, I would love to take your precious babies for walks, to parks, or take on anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable!
“We got lots of updates and it seems like our kitties were well taken care of. Sophia’s also very good with communication so we felt safe + happy for our cats to be in her care!”

“Jessica was great! Communicative, caring, and kind! She did a wonderful job caring for Evelynne and was especially great managing when my cat was not feeling well. I would absolutely book Jessica again.”

“Mary went above and beyond taking care of my two cats while I was gone for a full week. One of my cats had a few accidents while I was away and Mary when the extra mile, ensuring he was okay and cleaning up the area. She also was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and gave my cat so much love! I could not recommend her enough!”

“Thank you so much Christopher. Thanks to you I didn’t have to worry about my cat because from all your great updates and photos I knew he was safe and happy”

“Absolutely fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about Rosanna. My cats are very shy with new people and prefer to hide. But within one day of Rosanna visiting, they were literally eating out of the palm of her hand! She went about and beyond in the care of our cats and we will definitely be hiring her again.”

“This is our second time booking with Vanessa. She was very kind, professional, and quick to respond. Vanessa always sends tons of adorable pictures and videos of our cat, and she provides tons of play time such that our cat is always excited to see her. She has a keen eye for detail and notices when some behavior seems unusual, so I feel like I’m always in the loop and that my cat is in super safe hands. Extremely happy to have found Vanessa!”

“We had a great experience with Roger. Roger was very attentive to Lily. So glad he was able to make time on a holiday weekend to watch her. I highly recommend Roger and just hope he'll be available for future drop in needs.”

About: I've grown up with dogs, and I hope it's only right that I continue to share my love for them in adulthood. I'm beyond grateful for the trust my friends and family have put in me to care for, walk, and train their dogs for the last couple of years. I hope to get to share my love for your furry friend next! As a full-time student it's difficult for me to find a job that fits into my busy schedule. School can be stressful and tiring, but I always found being with pets keeps my energy alive. I believe it's important to get to know a pet to satisfy their needs including: needing to go outside, feeling anxious, hungry, etc. I pay very close attention to the behavior of my pets to ensure their quality of life is at its highest with me.
“Scott is the best! He has done drop-in visits with our cat multiple times while we have been away on vacation and we always have a great experience. Our cat seems to love him!”

“Cindy did drop-in visit for my cat, Tart. It was my first time ever leaving Tart and Cindy was amazing with communication and provided so much love and care to Tart! I really appreciate her making the whole experience so easy!”

“Hannah was a fantastic cat sitter! I needed someone last minute and she responded within minutes. She was incredibly considerate, sending me pictures and updates on my cat. I will 100% be using her again.”

“Adam watched over my two cats while I was traveling - he’s very attentive and a great communicator. I had a very positive experience and appreciated his responsiveness. Highly recommend Adam!”

“Anna was fantastic throughout the time she spent looking after our two cats! They were very relaxed with her and she sent great updates and photos everyday. Would highly recommend Anna!”

“Giovanni was very responsive, helpful, professional and punctual. It was the first time my cat Funes stayed on his own, and he feed him and played with him and send me pics of my cat. I would definitely recommend Giovanni and will hope to use his services again.”

“Mariele truly went above and beyond in every way!! She kept us updated throughout the day with the sweetest, funniest, and most detailed notes and photos. Our kitties were clearly well taken care of, played with, and given so much love while we were away. So much so that we think they missed Mariele for a while after our return, haha! We are so thankful to have found her, and look forward to the next booking. She is wonderful!!”

“Brianna is a secret cat whisperer! My very shy cat came out from hiding spot right away! She is reliable, great on communication, and takes great pics! I appreciate her help while I'm away and will recommend her yo anyone who needs cat sitter!”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of my cat. Lauren is always a pleasure to work with. My cat usually doesn’t like people, but she really enjoys her company.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - New York City
Delphi did drop-ins for my two cats and was absolutely wonderful! She sent photos every day, followed instructions, and kept their food and litter area clean and tidy. My cats are usually pretty shy with new people, but they seemed to really love her! Would definitely recommend and will plan to book her again in the future!
I am SO lucky to have found Rikki! She is truly a cat whisperer and was so knowledgeable and loving to my girls. She went above and beyond what I could have hoped, recommending great new food options and giving helpful feedback and advice about how to deal with my not-so-nice kitty bully. I think my cats wants me to go out of town more often just so they can see Rikki again. Would give a million stars if I could.

We were so so so lucky to snag Andrew as our rover for our recent trip! He is so conscientious, so thoughtful, and does such an amazing job with our precious babies, giving them all the love and playtime they need. He was so communicative and helpful with all our little details and asks. We will always look for Andrew’s avails because he’s one of the best!

Olivia was absolutely amazing to work with. My Cat needed an unfortunate vet visit right before my time away which meant Olivia would need to give him liquid meds he was not used to while I was away. She handled it with ease and made Cat Baby feel super comfortable and loved. When there was an issue with the meds (vets fault not hers! They didn’t give enough and the syringe they gave was not functioning well) she was super communicative and informed me right away so I could get in touch with the vet. She then went above and beyond to go pick up a replacement from the vets office to keep him on track before she came for the next visit. She is gentle and caring and extremely reliable. 10/10 recommend!!!

This was our first time leaving our cat with a sitter and it went great. George was extremely responsive at all times and provided updates and lots of photos. Our trip was unexpectedly extended and when we needed an extra drop-in last minute George helped us out immediately.

Hannah is an amazing cat sitter. She has taken care of our little girl Miley a couple of times now and has done a great job every time. She has followed all of our directions and we come home to a very happy cat each time we’ve used Hannah. We highly recommend!!

Ashley is an excellent sitter! She cared for my 2 cats for over a week and gave them both plenty of attention, love and treats every day. She also did a great job with giving my senior cat his daily medication. Would definitely recommend and work with her again ◡̈

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New York City. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
