About: I’m very experienced in taking care of dogs with physical and/or mental disabilities, both my own dogs or dogs of family members/friends. I understand the strict nature of diets and medication times, and I have experience taking care of dogs post-op, whether it’s from their being spayed, back surgery, etc. What truly sets me apart, though, is that I have experience with epileptic animals. I have a Chihuahua who gets seizures, and understand common procedure to prevent the dog from hurting themselves, myself, or the property of the home. I’m also experienced with the detailed documenting of these events. I’m more well versed with small and medium dog breeds, and specifically I’m an expert with chihuahuas as I’ve owned two for eleven years! I’m currently in college with few credit hours. I don’t take classes on Fridays, and during the school week I have plenty of time in the mornings and evenings to take care of your babies! I’m very strict about medication times, feedings, potty breaks/walks, and play time with my own dogs, and intend to bring this discipline to your own pets. I’m also a very clean person, and will happily take care of any messes that may be produced by myself or your pet!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I grew up with a golden retriever, beagle, yellow lab, and American Eskimo dog. Dogs are naturally very comfortable around me, and I have helped family members, friends, and several clients when it comes to caring for dogs. I provide dog walking, dog sitting in your or my home, and drop-in visits any day of the week. Weekday hours: Flexible all day! Saturday: Flexible after 3 Sunday: Flexible before noon I care for pets in homes by giving plenty of attention and belly rubs! Frequent potty breaks and walks are essential. I will make sure to give them a treat or two as well. Feel free to ask for special requests that fit your pet’s needs!
“Ava took great care of our cat! It was clear from her photos & updates that our cat was happy, healthy, and comfortable. Prior to booking she was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. We highly recommend Ava and hope to book with her in the future.”

About: I have been taking care of my pet dog for since I was 12 I have been handling a very large of the tasks of feeding, walking, bathing, playing, and giving affection to him. My pet care usually fits in whenever I am free (my availability should and will be discussed) and usually when I am finished with classes for the day I care for my dog the same as anyone else, I feed him twice a day, I take him out on walks, and let him go to backyard for the bathroom whenever he wants because of the doggy door we have. I give him so much love, affection, and attention.

“George was the best! Super reliable, problem solved while we were away, and even cleaned up some cat puke. We are so happy we found someone in the area who takes such good care of our cats. Highly recommend!”

“Anna took great care of our kitty and sent us the best pictures! She was super professional and reliable, and she was patient and understanding as our sky, skittish cat warmed up to her. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Jocelyn is FANTASTIC I’m not exaggerating I felt so safe leaving my best furry friend in her care. She was extra communicative, wanting to know about my cat, and super thoughtful. I really will feel at ease going out of town next time and hopefully leaving my cat with Jocelyn’s care”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals my entire life. Back home in Ohio, I’ve had 7 cats, 2 dogs, a horse, a chinchilla, and a bearded dragon. I’ve dog sat for rescues and I’m also good with dogs that have walking/pulling troubles. Happy to feed some fish too if needed! I’ve just graduated and my schedule differs by the day, so I’m looking at getting back in to pet care! It’s been awhile because I’ve been finishing up my degree, but I’ve already done some pet sitting while in school, so I know that I am able to work with my time well and can manage any job/needs with clear communication now that I’m out of school. Long story short - I’ll make time for you and your pets! I’m sensitive to each pet’s individual needs. Each dog is different and unique, and I prioritize getting to know their personality. I also have experience calming pet anxiety and managing unpredictable rescues.

Boots seems to enjoy him very much and Johnny always gives such detailed descriptions of their time together! I will definitely be using Johnny again to watch my dog!”

Nancy and Derek were absolutely wonderful watching over our rabbit, Charli! They are two very responsible pet sitters who were always on top of daily responsibilities, sharing daily updates with us, and going above and beyond to communicate anything that came up during the booking. We really appreciate the two of them and trust them to treat the pets they sit as their own! Highly recommend them ✨

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
