About: ⭐️ Get $40 off your first booking! Use code ANTOIC46087: https://www.rover.com/sit/antoic46087 For the past 26 years, dogs have always been an integral part of my life. I am lucky to have been surrounded by their love since I was 6, and (not to brag but) have always been my dogs' favorite human in my family. From a 16 year old toy poodle diva, to an anxious but goofy rescued doppelgänger of Dante (from Disney's Coco), I have plenty of experience training and caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and different needs. DOG BOARDING - snuggles after playtime to calm your dog down before bedtime is an important thing I've learned from raising a hyperactive beagle puppy HOUSE SITTING - light occasional snack can help with bonding and distracting a dog who is anxious to have a stranger home while waiting for their beloved human to return DOGGY DAY CARE - tidying up my own place not only for my own good, but also to keep dangerous items or poisonous foods out of reach DOG WALKING - running, brisk walking, or slow strolls :) ✦ Schedule ─ I work mostly from home, so your fur children can always have my time and attention, and regular walkies or outside breaks. ✤ Environment ─ I am confident that your fur baby will trust and feel safe with me. I live on my own and can give them 100% of my attention.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life. I grew up with my mini schnauzer, Chiky, who I had for 11 years and took care of from a young age. She was truly my best friend, and growing up with her taught me just how important dogs are in our lives, how much genuine, selfless love they give, and how much care and attention they need in return. I currently work a hybrid part-time job, so I’m home most of the time. Occasionally I have to go into the office, but it’s very close to home, so I’m still nearby and readily available. I’m flexible during the week for walks, drop-ins, and sitting, and I’m fully available on weekends! I live in a top-floor apartment that’s very homey and cozy, with lots of natural light from skylights. While I don’t have a yard or balcony, I make sure dogs get the exercise and care they need through walks and playtime.

About: I have a deep love for pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments with lifelong experience pet sitting and walking dogs. I am detail-oriented and recognize that every pet has independent needs, routines, and personality. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or needs extra patience, I will take the time to earn their trust and make them feel safe. I am currently doing remote freelance work which gives me the freedom to schedule entirely around pets. I love being in the company of animals so it is my goal to spend as much time with furry friends as possible. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, follow all care instructions closely, and respect their individual personality and boundaries. Whether that means sticking to a feeding schedule, administering medication if needed, or giving extra playtime or quiet companionship, I tailor my care to what makes each pet happiest. I also treat every client’s home with the same respect I would my own. I keep the space clean and secure, double-check that doors and gates are properly closed, and make your pet’s safety my top priority at all times. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I provide attentive, personalized care for dogs of all sizes and needs—from tiny Mini Dachshunds to large, energetic Weimaraners. My experience includes supporting dogs with mobility challenges, such as those with ACL injuries or loss of back leg function, so I’m comfortable using slings and giving the extra patience and care they deserve. I believe every dog should feel like part of the family, which means plenty of playtime, affection, and engagement with their favorite toys—not just basic care. For active pups, I love getting outside for long, energizing walks, and I’m especially happy to keep up with bigger dogs who enjoy going the extra mile. Above all, I focus on creating a safe, loving, and fun environment where your dog feels comfortable, cared for, and genuinely happy while you’re away. I am currently working full time and can provide services after 5pm on weekdays. On weekends, I am free both Saturday and Sunday and all day. I don’t currently have any dogs at home. My previous German Shepard I treat like family; making sure they feel safe, loved, and engaged every day. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, playtime, and plenty of walks, while also giving them lots of attention, affection, and care. Whether it’s active play or just relaxing together, I make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

First time hiring a cat sitter! Jocelyn did an amazing job with our 5 month old kitten, Gus! From before the visits she made it easy to meet her, and during the visits, she always sent photos of our boy! She was also always timely in her responses to our texts. I would definitely both recommend Jocelyn to others and use her again for Gus!

About: Hi! I grew up with large breeds (German Shepherd, lab and several boxers) and raised two boxers of my own during my college years. I currently foster with an agency in the city and have experience with pups from the age of six months to 10 years old. I’m comfortable with differing feed schedules, bathing, cleaning up messes and taking your pup out whenever he/she needs. Right now, I’m in office twice a week (Tuesday & Wednesday). The other days and all weekend I’m at home in Fidi and ready to help! My working hours are pretty flexible, and I can take your pup out for a walk as early as 6:30 am and as late as 10 pm. My foster pups are my babies— they are treated with the utmost respect and care. Your pup will treated just as if they were my own.

About: I’m a dog-obsessed girl who truly loves every pup like they’re my own. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a senior snuggler, your dog will be cared for with the same love, attention, and joy I give my own dog. I’m passionate about dog rescue and have a huge soft spot for all breeds and personalities. Honestly, I see dogs before I see people on the street — they just light up my world! I believe dogs make life better, and it’s an honor to spend time with them. When your pup is with me, they’ll get more than just a walk — they’ll get companionship, tail wags, and the kind of love only a true dog person can give. I'm a fully remote worker and would love to take care of your pet! I have the flexibility to take your dog for a walk around the neighborhood and spend time with them while you're away from home. My dog is my world, and her happiness and comfort always come first — no exceptions. I would do anything for her, and I bring that same level of love and dedication to every dog I care for. Whether I’m walking, sitting, or just spending time with them, your pup will receive my full attention, affection, and care. Most importantly, their safety and well-being are always my top priorities.

I reached out to Isaac fairly last minute when I needed a regular walker for my puppy on the days I’m in the office after my previous walker went on an extended vacation. He responded quickly, asked all the right questions, and has been incredibly reliable ever since. As a first time puppy owner, I definitely get nervous about leaving him with someone I didn’t know. Isaac offered to do a meet and greet first, and within minutes I could tell my dog absolutely adored him. Since then, he’s become a staple in our routine, and I know my dog genuinely looks forward to seeing him every week. Communication has been fantastic. I always get updates and the best photos from their walks, which definitely makes being away a little easier. He’s also been amazing about accommodating last minute drop-in requests when something comes up. Even now that my original walker is back, I’ve asked Isaac to continue walking my dog one or two days a week because I know how much he loves him. I can’t recommend Isaac enough to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely caring dog walker.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Sitting in New York City on Rover is $25.99 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 26,478 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across New York City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a New York City stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in New York City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in New York City with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New York City. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
