About: Looking for reliability? I provide repeat as well as one-time services. Please reach out and we can discuss your needs! I'm a fully insured dog walker-sitter that also supports non-standard pets. Aside from experience with my own pets, I have over two years experience as a full-time walker-sitter and time with brick and mortar dog daycares. I have experience with dogs of all energy levels as well as dogs with special health needs. Based in Jersey City, my range includes Union City and Hoboken. I have years of experience with dogs as well as other animals such as birds, cats, rodents, and reptiles. I'm open to discuss other pets! My schedule is usually busy during rush hour (10am-2pm), but please don't let that discourage you. I am more than happy to discuss your needs and find a way to work best with our schedules. I live in an apartment. However, I am able to dedicate good time to walks and attention, so no need to worry about any lack of exercise.
About: Hi, my name is Jess and I live in Hoboken. I’ve watched dogs and cats for friends many times over the years, and have great clients on Rover. I work from home so I am flexible to your needs. I love cats and dogs, especially since I work from home we can both keep each other company. I have experience administering oral medicine, watching elderly cats, and pets with quirky schedules/habits. I work from home full time so can be available any day pretty much any time depending on my meeting schedule. I can drop in any time or stay over since my schedule is flexible, whatever you need. I let cats and dogs come to me and sniff me out before petting and do not pick up any animals unless the owner confirms they are friendly and enjoy that.
“Kathleen was amazing! Helped us out last minute in a pinch for two days in a row. She was responsible and responsive. Cheese was happy to see her! Would love to book her again!”

“My cat was super happy & well behaved with Olivia as her sitter, the photos were also super cute & funny. She is super sweet and took care of my cat perfectly, would definitely recommend!”

“Gabriella was an amazing cat sitter! She was very attentive and loving to our cats. She even communicated with us every visit with some pictures and a quick status on them. We can't wait to have her over again and care for our little guys!”

About: I've been taking care of pets since the time I could walk. My own dogs are two small white ones (4 and 6), but I have extensive experience with pets of all sizes and ages. Neighbors and colleagues have trusted me with their daschunds, terriers, pitbulls, malteses, bichons, dalmations, basset hounds, and spaniels too. I raised two litters of puppies to adoption and saw a very old dog through her roughest days. I can care for other animals too. I kept a veritable menagerie – two cockatiels, two rabbits, a guinea pig, and a bichon – happy and healthy for a full two months while the family was traveling. I work remotely and I live right on the end of the path train line which means I can get anywhere in the city on a moment’s notice. Thus, I have the time and ability to give your fur-babies with the consistency and love that they deserve. At this time, I can’t bring more animals into my apartment but I can walk, feed, snuggle, play with and entertain your pets from the comfort of their own home.
About: Hey there! We are a dog-loving family of 4 (mom, dad, two kiddos). We cared for our amazing rescue pup for 8 years before she passed and have taken care of friend’s and family’s dogs as well. We are local and work from home. We are home most weekends, and we can provide multiple walks around the area. We are open to pups of any size as long as they are kid friendly. We work from home/locally. Can provide morning, afternoon and evening walks. We have good flexibility for much of the year and are happy to make time for your pet. We live in a pet-friendly elevator building close to multiple dog parks. While this is a kid-friendly home, we are always mindful of small toys and appropriate food when it comes to pets.
“Caren took wonderful care of our two pups while we were away for three days! She was incredibly communicative throughout, sending frequent updates and lots of sweet photos that kept us reassured and connected. She followed all of our feeding and care instructions perfectly, and it was clear our dogs were happy and comfortable with her. We came home to two relaxed, well-loved pups — we highly recommend Caren to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dogsitter!”

“Lucas did an amazing job with my dog Roscoe. Needed someone to let him out/feed him twice on a day I wasn’t going to be around. He came over the day before to make sure there would be no issues. He kept me updated and was in constant communication during his visits. Will definitely be requesting his services again!”

“Lehan took good care of my baby and she was very kind to accommodate the last minute request. We really appreciate it! She also followed our care instructions! I recommend booking with her and will definitely rebook!”

About: I wanted to join Rover this summer to start getting clients for dog walking! I’ve had dogs and cats all my life, and they’ve always been such an important part. I love being around them, getting to know their personalities, and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved. I’m someone who enjoys going for walks every day, so I’d love to spend that time giving your pup some exercise, fresh air, and attention. I’m kind, responsible, and reliable, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ll make sure they’re well cared for, safe, and treated with the same love and care I’d want for my own. I can’t wait to meet some new pups and make some furry friends! I can walk dogs any time between 11am to 10pm. I can work my schedule around the walks since it’s summer! Also can do every day of the week, whatever you need! I am very focused on safety and care for your dogs. I want them to have a stress-free walk. I’d love to build trust with these dogs over repeated walks!

“Andrew has been great with our puppy. We were apprehensive to leave him for the first time with anyone but our fears were lifted with how attentive Andrew is with providing updates and his real care for our dog. Definitely a good choice!”

About: Calvin and I are both Dog lover since we were little. Calvin owned two dogs in my life; One mud and one schnauzer. I owned chihuahua mini teacup. However, we love doggie of any kind! Calvin owns his own business and WFH. I mostly WFH too. Therefore, we can ensure someone is home most of the time we have a guest. We have plenty of time/space to walk and play with dogs at home. We can spend time outdoors walking/running/hiking or indoors playing depending on your preference. We only take on one client at a time to maximize individual attention. No children or animals at home. Non smoking environment.

About: I have over 5 years of hands-on pet care experience watching dogs for neighbors and family. During this time, I’ve cared for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities—handling daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable and happy while their owners are away, and I always treat every dog as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and fun environment so both pets and owners can feel at ease. I work from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Because I have a flexible schedule, I’m able to come and go from my residence as needed for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and check-ins. During drop-in visits, I care for pets in their own home by following their normal routine. This includes feeding, refreshing water, potty breaks, walks if needed, and spending time with them to make sure they’re comfortable. I also check that everything in the home is in good order.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 7. I’ve grown up around lots of pets, and taking care of them is my hobby! I’m the kind of person that would rather stay in with my dog and cat over going out. :) I’ve dealt with all types of animals, from sweet angels to misunderstood ones with different behavioral needs. Whatever your pet needs, I’m able to accommodate it. I work part time and am home most of the day! I’m very available as my work schedule is flexible; I mostly do online work and spend time with my dog and cat! I have an unfenced yard and live very close to a park. I also have a very friendly dog named Piper. She comes on walks but also doesn’t need to. She isn’t interested in other dogs and is submissive.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs since I was old enough to ride a bike. Friends, family, and even neigbors have utilized my experience when it comes to walking, feeding, and caring for pets! I work 9-5 each day, with 2 days of my week usually spent in my office. Otherwise, I am very flexible in terms of pet care, although I do travel for work/personal life 1-2 times a month, usually on weekends or holidays. I seek to provide plenty of space for any pets that like to roam or need to be crated. I love walking and playing with pets as well, as it’s like exercise for me and for them! It keeps everyone happy. Please contact me regarding further details on caring for pets in my home.
About: Growing up, I was the one in the family who did everything, the walks, the feeding, the playing, and especially the cuddling!! It never felt like a chore, it was all love. Having raised and trained my own puppy from scratch, I know what dogs need to feel safe, loved, and happy in someone else's care. I bring that same patience and nurturing to every dog in my care, real attention and affection, not just the bare minimum. My availability is weekdays usually from mornings till the evening, around 9am-5pm. I'm happy to come take care of your pup throughout the day, whether that means taking them on walks, or to the park, or giving them extra attention while you're gone. I know dogs are most comfortable in their own space, which is why I come to them. I'll follow whatever routines and rules you have in place and treat your home with full respect, so everything feels normal for your pup while you're away.

Huge shoutout to Loretto for taking such amazing care of Amara! He was so attentive, dependable, and awesome with communication while I was away. Amara absolutely loved him, and it gave me total peace of mind seeing how well cared for she was. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone!

Katia was fantastic with our cat and dog. Shes friendly, followed our instructions, and was always super prompt and communicative - even helping us bring in a package. It’s so nice to find a reliable sitter in our new neighborhood. We’ll definitely be rebooking with her - thanks again Katia ☺️

Connie was super helpful, had great communication, and was prompt! She helped with my weird request to help with dog training my stranger danger dog while I was home. She was lovely and was willing to help us figure out how we can be successful in managing our dogs stress, and was willing to let us use her as a guinea pig to see what would be successful to help our fur baby! Appreciate her willingness to use Madonna’s stinky treats to motivate her :)

Tessa has been wonderful 😊 Arya took well to her rather quickly which was impressive. She's always respectful and provides me a full detailed report. Of course, photos too! With my new commute and insane schedule, she has been so accommodating and a gem. Arya and I are lucky to have her 🐕🙃

Wow, talk about going above and beyond! We are so grateful for Isaac caring for our two pups while we were out of town. He provided thorough updates in each check-in, amazing photos, and is just an overall responsive and caring person. We can’t wait to have him watch our pups again. He is trusted, kind, and will treat your fur babies like one of his own. Thank you, Isaac!!!
Sarah took great care of Toby during his drop-in visits. She gave him his dinner, took him out for potty breaks, and made me feel very comfortable while I was away. Toby seemed happy and well cared for, and I really appreciated the updates. I would absolutely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Hoboken with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
