About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and cat owner, so I’m very familiar with the different personalities, routines, and quirks pets can have. I offer dog walks and drop-in visits, and I always tailor care to what each pet is comfortable with :) My goal is to help your pets feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. I currently have a very flexible schedule since I am at home most days :) I’m available for check-ins and walks during weekdays and weekends As a pet owner myself, I know every animal has their own personality and little quirks! I take the time to learn their routine and preferences, whether they’re playful, shy, cuddly, or independent all while meeting their basic needs. I want them to be as comfortable as they can be while you’re gone.
About: Calvin and I are both Dog lover since we were little. Calvin owned two dogs in my life; One mud and one schnauzer. I owned chihuahua mini teacup. However, we love doggie of any kind! Calvin owns his own business and WFH. I mostly WFH too. Therefore, we can ensure someone is home most of the time we have a guest. We have plenty of time/space to walk and play with dogs at home. We can spend time outdoors walking/running/hiking or indoors playing depending on your preference. We only take on one client at a time to maximize individual attention. No children or animals at home. Non smoking environment.
“My cat was super happy & well behaved with Olivia as her sitter, the photos were also super cute & funny. She is super sweet and took care of my cat perfectly, would definitely recommend!”

“Rebecca took amazing care of my cats and went above and beyond when my plans changed — staying flexible and putting my kitties’ wellbeing first. I really appreciate her and look forward to working with her again soon!”

“This was our first time leaving our new puppy alone for a long period of time so Morgan came over to play with him for an hour. She was amazing and we will most definitely be using her again in the future - she was a huge help!!”

About: I wanted to join Rover this summer to start getting clients for dog walking! I’ve had dogs and cats all my life, and they’ve always been such an important part. I love being around them, getting to know their personalities, and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved. I’m someone who enjoys going for walks every day, so I’d love to spend that time giving your pup some exercise, fresh air, and attention. I’m kind, responsible, and reliable, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ll make sure they’re well cared for, safe, and treated with the same love and care I’d want for my own. I can’t wait to meet some new pups and make some furry friends! I can walk dogs any time between 11am to 10pm. I can work my schedule around the walks since it’s summer! Also can do every day of the week, whatever you need! I am very focused on safety and care for your dogs. I want them to have a stress-free walk. I’d love to build trust with these dogs over repeated walks!
About: I've been taking care of pets since the time I could walk. My own dogs are two small white ones (4 and 6), but I have extensive experience with pets of all sizes and ages. Neighbors and colleagues have trusted me with their daschunds, terriers, pitbulls, malteses, bichons, dalmations, basset hounds, and spaniels too. I raised two litters of puppies to adoption and saw a very old dog through her roughest days. I can care for other animals too. I kept a veritable menagerie – two cockatiels, two rabbits, a guinea pig, and a bichon – happy and healthy for a full two months while the family was traveling. I work remotely and I live right on the end of the path train line which means I can get anywhere in the city on a moment’s notice. Thus, I have the time and ability to give your fur-babies with the consistency and love that they deserve. At this time, I can’t bring more animals into my apartment but I can walk, feed, snuggle, play with and entertain your pets from the comfort of their own home.
“Katie is truly amazing! My dog warmed up to her very quickly. She’s always on time, extremely communicative, and genuinely caring. She puts real time and effort into spending quality time with my pup and takes excellent care of her. I feel completely comfortable trusting her and highly recommend her!”

“Kathleen was amazing! Helped us out last minute in a pinch for two days in a row. She was responsible and responsive. Cheese was happy to see her! Would love to book her again!”

“John has been great, very quick to answer, extremely reliable and consistent with hours visits. In addition, the daily pictures are a great way to see your pets while away. Highly recommend, thanks!”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable, trustworthy dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs. I started dog walking in high school and college and have loved every minute of it! Since joining Rover, I’ve received multiple 5-star reviews for boarding, day care, and dog walking. Now, living in Hoboken with my fiancé, I focus on walks and visits that keep your pup happy, safe, and engaged. I live near a dog park and a scenic waterfront path—perfect for fun, stimulating walks. I provide regular updates so you feel at ease while you’re away and am happy to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend and make their day extra fun! I’m currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet during the day! I’m flexible and can take dogs on walks in the morning, mid-day, or evening to fit your schedule. I’m very careful with pets and always follow owner instructions to ensure their safety and comfort. I ask about your pet’s temperament and comfort around other animals, and I respect any limits on interactions. I also watch closely to make sure pets don’t eat or pick up anything unsafe. This approach applies whether we’re on walks, during visits, or any other care you need.
“Aniko took excellent care of my cat Penelope! Her updates were very detailed and she took awesome photos. My cat clearly felt very at ease with her. Thank you Aniko!”

“I have been looking for another sitter for my bun, Roo, just to have someone else trusted to turn to. Victoria was phenomenal, communicative and so lovely with my little guy. Will definitely rebook.”
“Gabriella was an amazing cat sitter! She was very attentive and loving to our cats. She even communicated with us every visit with some pictures and a quick status on them. We can't wait to have her over again and care for our little guys!”

“Ramona has dropped in on our cat while we’ve been away for a week +. She is very punctual and reliable and provided updates/pictures after each visit. We will continue to use her for our cat while we are away!”

“This was Delaney’s second time watching our cat and she did just as amazing of a job as the first time around. Our cat loves her and we’re comfortable knowing Delaney has cats herself. Highly recommend!”

“Melissa is the absolute best. We have an older dog who had some issues while we were away and Melissa was extremely attentive and caring. I felt so much better knowing she was there taking care of our pup.”

About: Hi, my name is Jess and I live in Hoboken. I’ve watched dogs and cats for friends many times over the years, and have great clients on Rover. I work from home so I am flexible to your needs. I love cats and dogs, especially since I work from home we can both keep each other company. I have experience administering oral medicine, watching elderly cats, and pets with quirky schedules/habits. I work from home full time so can be available any day pretty much any time depending on my meeting schedule. I can drop in any time or stay over since my schedule is flexible, whatever you need. I let cats and dogs come to me and sniff me out before petting and do not pick up any animals unless the owner confirms they are friendly and enjoy that.

Steven did a great job with our little one! Our cat is shy and doesn’t usually play with strangers, but Steven was patient and was waiting for him to be comfortable coming to him. In addition to cat chores, Steven also vacuumed and watered the plants during my long leave which was greatly appreciated!!! Thank you Steven!

Jessica did an amazing job. Went above instructions and made sure my kitty was comfortable. Washed food bowls and changed water and litter daily. She even got her to come out from under the bed for treats. I am looking forward to rebooking her services again and again now that I know I have a trusted sitter.

Delphi did drop-ins for my two cats and was absolutely wonderful! She sent photos every day, followed instructions, and kept their food and litter area clean and tidy. My cats are usually pretty shy with new people, but they seemed to really love her! Would definitely recommend and will plan to book her again in the future!
Hannah is an amazing cat sitter. She has taken care of our little girl Miley a couple of times now and has done a great job every time. She has followed all of our directions and we come home to a very happy cat each time we’ve used Hannah. We highly recommend!!

Ashley is an excellent sitter! She cared for my 2 cats for over a week and gave them both plenty of attention, love and treats every day. She also did a great job with giving my senior cat his daily medication. Would definitely recommend and work with her again ◡̈

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
