“Nina was absolutely amazing! My first time using Rover in New York and I couldn't of been happier! Nina was so friendly and caring, and my puppy was in great hands! Would definitely recommend Nina to anyone in need of pet care. She sent pictures every time she walked Stanley and always kept me updated, I will definitely be asking Nina for her assistance in the future. Thank you so much Nina!”

About: I’ve taken care of and walked all types of dogs since I was 15! Friends have entrusted me with their furry family when they’re been away and I’ve looked after them as if they were my own. I’m a huge dog lover but have never had one of my own due to family and roommates being allergic — but rest assured, I have experience with many dogs and I think this makes me an even more enthusiastic pet sitter :) If you choose to book with me, I would love to set up time to meet your pup and get acquainted with you and them beforehand! I have very flexible hours as I am self-employed - I can do whatever hours you and your furry family need, whether it be during the weekdays or weekends. Your home and pets will be cared for with the utmost respect and dedication to safety! I would firstly make sure to follow all rules left by you. I would double check any locks and safety alarms before leaving. I would ensure that all windows and doors are secure before letting any pets out of carriers and make sure to block doors while leaving. I would also make sure to account for all pets visually. I would leave your home exactly as you left it and not have over any guests. I would also be more than happy to send over regular updates through photos & texts while you’re away!
“Katherine was available last minute to drop in on Beau and walk him. She followed instructions to the tee, was responsive, and took lots of pictures. We'd love to work with her again!”

About: I've been working at a doggy daycare in San Francisco for over five years and I never get tired of working with puppies! I am capable of handling any sizes of dogs and I love it when they bond with me and follow me around. I am also experienced with dog sitting and it brings me joy to see the pups get snuggly at the end of the day. I’m working from home few days a week so I’m pretty flexible with the schedule. Evenings and weekends work for me too if you need a last minute reservation! My experience as a dog handler trained me to be aware of my surroundings and I am really good with communication so I won’t be hesitate to reach out to clients if I ever encounter any issues or have any questions regarding the pups.

“Christie treated my cat so well and gave the best updates with amazing pictures! I am so grateful that Christie made my cat feel loved while I was away. I would highly recommend Christie for her positive outlook, strong communication skills, and understanding of cats!”

About: Hello! I live in an extremely clean and comfortable apartment, with 24/7 doormen. I am available full-time to take care of your dog. I am seriously an animals-lover - they honestly make me so happy and I am so excited to have the opportunity to take care of your dog. I have taken care of 3 pets by myself including a dog and two cats for 16+ years. Two of them have passed, which is one reason why I treasure each time I spend time with animals. I always take time out of my day to give them a lot of love and attention. They are part of my family, and I treat them with great care, and I will definitely love your dog in the same way. Because I am available full-time working from home, I am able to provide dog boarding and doggy daycare. I live with my boyfriend who also works from home, therefore, he and I are going to give a lot of attention to your dog :) Throughout the stay, I will make sure to feed your dog, play with your dog, take your dog for potty breaks, and give all my love and attention :)
About: I’ve been a huge dog and animal lover my whole life, but currently don’t have any of my own. Luckily, I work a very flexible remote job that allows me to give lots of love and attention to your furry baby! I prioritize the comfort and safety of each pet, so I only accept 1 client at a time and will never have multiple pets from different clients at once. I have years of experience and will love and treat your pet(s) like my own! I have a very flexible work from home job, so I can easily take pets on walks and give them lots of love and attention! I live in a comfortable luxury apartment with 24/7 doormen. I do not have a yard, but I live in a safe neighborhood where I can take them on frequent walks. My building also has a private outdoor space and pet grooming amenities.
“CK did a great job with Catapuss. We had a socialization visit, so CPuss was comfortable when he came to do her insulin shot. It was his first feline insulin shot, and he did great following directions and administering the injection to a sassy girl. He’s welcome by CPuss to come again!”

“Jenna was really great with my puppy. She sent me pictures and kept me updated about my puppy. I’m definitely gonna ask for help again in the future!”

“Candice was amazing! This was our first time leaving our cat alone for so long and Candice was great checking in on her, feeding her, cleaning the litter box, and playing with her so she had company. She even noticed when the cat was cold and let us know and asked if she could adjust the thermostat. We will definitely be booking Candice again!”

Simon has done drop-in visits for us several times, and not only does our cat love him, but he’s gone well above and beyond when we needed his help in a pinch. His check-in's and photos are second to none, too! I’d recommend his services with zero hesitation.

Katherine did an amazing job taking care of my dog while I was away. She kept me updated every day with messages and pictures, made sure he got all of his medications, and always let me know how he was doing. It gave me great peace of mind, and when I got home, my dog was happy and clearly well cared for. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!
This was our first time leaving our cat with a sitter and it went great. George was extremely responsive at all times and provided updates and lots of photos. Our trip was unexpectedly extended and when we needed an extra drop-in last minute George helped us out immediately.

Natalie took excellent care of my two cats while I was away. She has great communication skills and kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my cats and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I came home to two relaxed, content cats and everything was just as I left it. I would absolutely recommend Natalie to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy cat sitter!

Sungmin did a drop-in visit for my puppy and she was amazing! She sent me videos and photos afterwards and provided a short summary of what tricks they worked on. It’s clear that my puppy loved playing with her. She was also very respectful of my home and I’m glad I found someone I can trust! Already booked her again for this week!

Nina watched my two cats for a longer period (2 weeks) and I was so at ease knowing she was the one caring for them! The cats were so healthy and relaxed when I came back :) She also cleaned up some of the messes my cats created in my absence which is greatly appreciated!

Georgia is a fantastic sitter! I took a much-needed vacation and needed someone to check on my cat, who had recently been to the vet a few times for a minor medical condition. Georgia was extremely attentive to his feeding and play schedule. She updated me with daily pics and messages about his activities. It really relieved my anxiety about leaving him at home. Don't think twice about booking Georgia if she is available. Highly recommended!

Kyleen was so amazing with Wally. She clearly cared for him like her own and it seems to me he was very comfortable and happy with her. Kyleen sent thorough updates and pictures every day. I loved seeing that Wally was having a good time during her drop ins! Would definitely recommend Kyleen for future bookings, thank you Kyleen!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
