About: Animals have always been a huge part of our lives. We started with 2 rescue cats, fostered a puppy together, and eventually adopted our dog Miki. With our little family, your pet is coming into a home that already has plenty of company. Caring for dogs has already been a regular part of our routines. This includes a mix of walks, daycare, and boarding, plus occasional drop-in visits for cats. Currently, Andrew is working from home full time, and Stacey is in the office 4 days a week but home every evening and weekend, so your dog will never be left alone. Both of us will be involved in their care throughout the day. We're located in LIC, right between Court Square and Queensboro Plaza, making drop-offs and pickups convenient. Drop-off & Pick-up: We keep things flexible. Drop off and pick up any time between 8am–9pm. We've used sitters for our pets as well, so we know how much trust goes into leaving your pet with someone. You can expect us to care for your pet the same way we'd want our pets cared for. Feel free to use our code ANDREB48451 for $40 off your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/andreb48451
About: I've been working at a doggy daycare in San Francisco for over five years and I never get tired of working with puppies! I am capable of handling any sizes of dogs and I love it when they bond with me and follow me around. I am also experienced with dog sitting and it brings me joy to see the pups get snuggly at the end of the day. I’m working from home few days a week so I’m pretty flexible with the schedule. Evenings and weekends work for me too if you need a last minute reservation! My experience as a dog handler trained me to be aware of my surroundings and I am really good with communication so I won’t be hesitate to reach out to clients if I ever encounter any issues or have any questions regarding the pups.
“Mary went above and beyond taking care of my two cats while I was gone for a full week. One of my cats had a few accidents while I was away and Mary when the extra mile, ensuring he was okay and cleaning up the area. She also was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and gave my cat so much love! I could not recommend her enough!”

About: From a young age, I helped my grandmother provide shelter and food for stray cats, and at home, we cared for three dogs and two bunnies. This upbringing gave me a lifelong connection with animals, especially cats. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that each cat has a unique personality, complete with its own quirks and preferences. Recognizing and respecting these differences allows me to tailor my approach to meet their specific needs and provide exceptional care. In my professional life, I’ve worked in customer service, which has taught me the importance of clear communication and active listening. I bring this same approach to pet care by staying attentive to their needs and behaviors, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. The safety and happiness of your companions are my top priorities. As a cat owner myself, I understand the trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. You can put your trust in me to take every precaution to keep your babies, comfortable, and loved. With a lifetime of experience and genuine passion for animals, I’m here to provide the care they deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine, thanks to the flexibility of working from home. This gives me the freedom to be available throughout the week, including weekends and most holidays, to ensure pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m fortunate to offer a welcoming and pet-friendly environment. Inside, I’ve created safe, cozy, and fun spaces complete with toys and designated areas for relaxation and play.My household also includes a friendly and sociable cat, who loves meeting new cats. He has a warm and playful nature which I believe helps create a comforting atmosphere, making your pets feel right at home during their stay.
“Katherine is amazing!!!! So so communicative, sweet and caring towards my kitty. She genuinely did such a great job and I will definitely be contacting her again if I go out of town! Please consider Katherine!”

“Yuxuan was friendly, communicative, super responsive, and best of all, flexible for our last minute request! She also offered a meet and greet so she could get to know Beau's needs before taking care of him. Beau loved walking with her. We'd gladly work with Yuxuan again!”

About: Hello! I live in an extremely clean and comfortable apartment, with 24/7 doormen. I am available full-time to take care of your dog. I am seriously an animals-lover - they honestly make me so happy and I am so excited to have the opportunity to take care of your dog. I have taken care of 3 pets by myself including a dog and two cats for 16+ years. Two of them have passed, which is one reason why I treasure each time I spend time with animals. I always take time out of my day to give them a lot of love and attention. They are part of my family, and I treat them with great care, and I will definitely love your dog in the same way. Because I am available full-time working from home, I am able to provide dog boarding and doggy daycare. I live with my boyfriend who also works from home, therefore, he and I are going to give a lot of attention to your dog :) Throughout the stay, I will make sure to feed your dog, play with your dog, take your dog for potty breaks, and give all my love and attention :)
“Nina took great care of our cat while we were away, and was so attentive and communicative throughout! She shared lots of photos and videos and so kindly cleaned up after our cat who has a tendency to throw up hair balls. Our cat is older so we generally worry about her when we are away, but it’s much easier when she is well looked after in our absence and that’s how we felt with Nina checking in on her! “Anne is truly the best! She took such incredible care of my cats while I was away on vacation. She kept me updated with thoughtful messages and photos the whole time. Coming home to two happy, relaxed cats made it clear they had been loved and well cared for while I was gone. Will definitely have her watch them again!”

“Thank you Christie for looking after our cat, Nino. 9 days was the longest we’ve ever spent away from him. You made our time away from him reassuring and worry free. We were really happy to hear how much he played with you and loved sitting/cuddling with you so much! Christie was very responsive during the 9 days we booked. Christie let us know the exact times she started and ended her visits. She sent lots of photos (~30+) and gave us briefs on our cats status per visit. Christie also cleaned up after Nino (cat litter, food bowl and water) everyday and also topped up fresh food for his daily meals. This was really encouraging for my husband and I as we have never spent many days like this away from Nino.”

“Jenna shared lots of photos and was super communicative in coordinating for our 12 week old pup, especially on short notice. It was so appreciated!”

“Angelica was wonderful! She took great care of my cat & sent lots of sweet updates. She was super kind and flexible when my plans changed too. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Adam once again watched Rose and did a great job. His extra care and focus gives me so much peace of mind every time I have to go out of time. He's an outstanding pet sitter and I can't recommend him enough.”

“Natasha was amazing!!! She took care of the Professor over multiple visits with differing drop-in needs. She was perfectly communicative and brought a lot of attention to detail. My kitty loooooved spending time with her! Usually he stress-licks a spot on his back when I am gone, but he was spot-free upon my return. Natasha clearly takes joy in caring for cats, and I am so grateful I found her!”

“Lisa's was wonderful with our senior cat, Linus! He is usually very shy, but he snuggled and played with Lisa every time she visited. We especially appreciated Lisa's attention to detail, which was clear from our first meet-and-greet. We will definitely rebook!”

“Sandy was SUCH a great caretaker for Theo. She provided detailed updates and ample photos and treated Theo like her own. I could tell he quickly bonded with her & she went over and above to make him (and me) comfortable and happy. Will definitely work with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Long Island City
Vera watched my two eldery cats for a week and did a great job taking care of them and administering medicine. She took excellent photos, sent me detailed updates and kept them on a regular feeding and medicine schedule, which was really important to me. I came home to two happy cats.

Happy my kitties have a new trusted support now! I feel very comfortable and safe hving Sophia take care of my babies -- especially as one of my kitties wasn't feeling well and needed medication administer (and would hide/spit out the meds), Sophia administered the meds and our kitty is doing fantastic as we got home this weekend. Thanks Sophia! Will definitely see you soon.

Catie always gives us so much peace of mind when we leave the cats for a trip. One of our cats had teeth pulled recently which caused complications with their diet. Catie was amazing, giving us constant updates on how the cats ate and experimenting to try and make sure they ate enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
