“This was my first time using Rover and I was a bit nervous about it, but I felt comfortable with Laura straight away. I could tell by the way she interacted with my cats that she truly loves animals. She took great care of them while I was away, took the time to play with them and sent lots of cute pictures. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and can genuinely say Arli made it a great experience. She’s super communicative, kind, respectful and now my cat’s new bff! Arli showed up promptly for all visits, gave my cat lots of attention and would send me pictures everyday while I was away. Could not have asked for a better experience. HIGHLY recommend :)”

About: I'm an animal welfare professional actively building toward a career in animal behavior and training, grounded in real-world shelter experience and a deep commitment to whole-animal care. My shelter background has given me hands-on experience with high-volume intake, humane handling of anxious and behaviorally complex animals, and close collaboration with medical, admissions, and volunteer teams. I work calmly under pressure and communicate clearly across all parts of an organization. Over the past year I've been going deeper into the areas I care most about: balanced training, behavior modification, play-based training, and socialization and neutralization work. I'm also drawn to the less-talked-about foundations of animal health, including nutrition, husbandry, and how they shape behavior. Training a personal service dog has been one of my most formative experiences, giving me an up-close look at how relationship, consistency, and technique intersect. Cats are just as central to my work as dogs, and honestly my own life. My first adopted cat came to me severely behaviorally challenged, and watching our relationship transform through the right nutrition, training, and species-appropriate enrichment has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had with any animal. It deepened my belief that understanding the feline mind is just as important as understanding canine behavior, and I'm passionate about helping people see cats differently. Not as low-maintenance or mysterious, but as complex, communicative animals who thrive when their needs are truly met. Something I feel strongly about is helping the broader community understand what shelter life is really like — how it affects animal behavior, the many reasons dogs and cats end up there and are returned, and what that means for families considering adoption. There's so much misunderstood about shelter animals, and I think better public education leads to better outcomes for everyone. I do pet care full time as I train dogs and cats! I have a full house of animals with two cats, two dogs and a reptile! We enjoy an active life with walks, play and adventure although have a nice balance with rest too:) Safety is my #1 priority. I firmly believe that a trained animal is a happy animal! Every animal that comes into my care has clear expectations so everyone can thrive to the best of their ability. If at daycare, I have the ability to crate and separate dogs and I have a clean, fenced in backyard that has a doggy pool for those warm summer days! For check ins and walks, i'm all about what is most comfortable for the pet. If your cat just needs someone to clean their litter box, thats what I'm there for! Wether its a potty break or full adventure, I'm here for it!
About: At a young age family members asked me to take care of their pets. Fast forward now my sister has relied in me to walk and dog sit her pup. I'm an artist/art-teacher/illustrator/computer- animator. Right now my schedule is pretty flexible. So why not use my free time to do something I enjoy doing and love. Will always respect someone's home and their pet and follow their rules and directions. And will leave a note or message to the owner on how day went.
“Faith was a great sitter for our cat Molly. Faith came every morning to feed and play with her. She sent us photos every visit, which we loved! Faith was attentive, communicative and went above and beyond during her visits. We trust her and hope to work with her in future! 10/10 would recommend.”

I currently own a year 10 old dachshund who is the sweetest boy ever.! my goal and my passion is treating these animals, as if they are my own I am highly experienced with the dachshund breed being an owner of them for over 20yrs, I have knowledge with senior dog care. I currently do have an open availability genuinely starting at 10 AM and I am available seven days a week, pet care has just always been a passion of mine However, I’m instructed to do so, many animals have different needs and require different instructions so it’s very mindful to be open about specific cares of your pet and needs and it will be my pleasure to ensure high quality care
“First time having a ca sitter who wasn’t a personal friend and they put me at ease with the whole thing. Very kind but still professional and my cat instantly got along with them which was great!”

About: Hello everyone! My name is Brianna. I'm 30 years old looking for an opportunity to make a second income especially doing something I enjoy. I am a full time employee in the city but would love to spend my spare time off playing and taking care of your pets. I've had dogs, cats and even a snake growing up. I love animals and always will. Unfortunately, I can't afford one right now so it'll be great to get paid to play and take care of one. If you're looking for a genuine girl to love your pet, I'm the one you can count on. Pets are really good at knowing who to trust and they will definitely love me. I will make sure they receive all the attention, love and care they need. Looking forward to meeting your fur babies 😊 I am a full time employee in the city but will have plenty of time on the weekends to take care and walk your fur babies I have experience walking dogs as well as taking care of cats. I used to have a fur baby named Bella who was a husky and had lots of energy since she was a pup. I have learned how to walk energetic dogs as well as being patient with them. I will ensure your baby will be well taken care of as well as loved 🥰

“Raul did an excellent job pet sitting for Gunner. He made sure to follow instructions my husband and I gave him, which gave us a peace of mind. When something wasn’t completely clear, he checked in with me, I really appreciated that level of communication and care. It’s safe to say he’s doing a great job getting to know both us and Gunner, and we feel comfortable trusting him with our dog. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I'm Maria a pet-friendly and responsible caregiver with experience caring for my own pets, my uncle’s dogs and my neighbor senior dog. I’m very careful and attentive with their well-being, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. With an extroverted, kind, and trustworthy personality, I build great connections with both pets and their owners. Some of my skills are: * Daily feeding & maintaining routines * Walking & exercise for active care * Attentive supervision & affection I'm currently working part time since I'm in college my free days are monday and friday all day so I can properly take care of your pet. I live in a cozy basement apartment with direct access to a fenced backyard, perfect for safe play and exercise. Pets in my care enjoy supervised outdoor time, comfort indoors, and lots of affection. Whether at my home or a client’s, I’m careful, attentive, and committed to keeping pets happy and secure.
About: What sets me apart is the level of care and intuition I bring to every animal I work with. I’m not just a sitter—I genuinely understand dogs on a deeper level. I’ve helped deliver puppies, cared for senior dogs with patience and attention to their changing needs, and I have hands-on experience rehabilitating abused and neglected animals. That means I’m calm, observant, and able to read behavior quickly—whether it’s a nervous rescue or an energetic puppy still learning boundaries. I’m especially comfortable with puppies (potty training, basic commands, structure) and senior dogs who need a slower pace, medication, or extra comfort. I also naturally go above and beyond—whether that’s making sure routines are followed closely, giving extra affection, or keeping a close eye on subtle changes in behavior or health. Outside of sitting, caring for animals is just part of who I am. I regularly feed and look out for stray animals, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be understood, protected, and genuinely cared for. As an only child, I’ve always found a deep sense of comfort and connection in caring for dogs. Being able to meet their needs, earn their trust, and give them love brings me a genuine sense of purpose and fulfillment. It’s something that feels natural to me, and it’s a big part of why I’m so dedicated to the care I provide. I have a large, fully fenced yard with low grass, which creates a safe and comfortable space for dogs to walk, play, run, and enjoy plenty of outdoor time.
“Jeffrey took care of our big 15lb cat, Amor. Jefferey was fantastic and even managed to get Amor to eat treats out of his hand! I can't even get Amor to do that. He was wonderful and we would definitely have Jeffery come back when we go out of town again to take care of our Kitty. Thank you Jefferey!”
“Xiaoying was so great! She took wonderful care of my cat while I was away. My cat needs medication every other day and regular facial cleaning, and she handled everything perfectly. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about my cat’s well-being. I was especially impressed by how clean and organized everything was when I returned. She went above and beyond, and I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. I would gladly book with her again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Katie was awesome! She watched Fran and Maneki over the holidays and everyday we got an update with photos ? she’s super thorough and great with the cats ❤️ Your animals will definitely be in good hands with Katie!”

About: I've had cats and dogs all my life. My family adores animals, and your pet will receive lots of love and attention from our household (my husband and I as well as our two college aged children). We recently lost our dog of 12 years and are looking to fill that hole with the time spent with your fur baby. I have a private fenced yard and there is a park on the corner of my home. I will manage all your pet's needs. I work part time 5 minutes from home. There will be at least 3 walks a day and lots of attention. FYI there is usually a family member home at all times. Pets are allowed on furniture. I will follow your regimen and provide videos and photos of your pet. I only want to service one to two pets at a time. There are no young children in our home.

About: Hi there! My name’s Nicole, and I provide dog sitting in your home as well as my own. I love dogs of all sizes and ages, and I'm happy to give baths as well. I have a dog of my own, and any dog I care for will be treated just as well as mine is. I’ll take them on walks, take them to the park and care for them overnight if needed. I'll play with them and give them treats when they're good. I can also train them, as I have experience training a border collie in the past which I did daily. This border collie (Charlie) also had a prosthetic leg, so I was very patient with her on our walks. My schedule can be pretty flexible, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ask about my availability! I have a dog, I have many toys that your dog may enjoy as well as a roomy backyard that they can run around. I am also near Juniper Park which is a great place to walk the dogs. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Middle Village
Kiana was fantastic with my dogs! She was super flexible on short notice, set up a meet and greet right away, and asked all the right questions. One of my pups is a senior who requires several medications twice a day, and she handled his care seamlessly. She is trustworthy, kind, and took wonderful care of my dogs. Her communication was great throughout the entire stay. I highly recommend her and will definitely book her again!

Taylor was incredible with our two cats and Lady Serena, who is normally very wary of strangers, really came out of her shell with her! We had neighbors look after them the last few days we were away and they were amazed at how much more social Lady was. Taylor was also incredibly flexible after we went through several travel delays. Couldn’t recommend enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
