About: I've had cats and dogs all my life. My family adores animals, and your pet will receive lots of love and attention from our household (my husband and I as well as our two college aged children). We recently lost our dog of 12 years and are looking to fill that hole with the time spent with your fur baby. I have a private fenced yard and there is a park on the corner of my home. I will manage all your pet's needs. I work part time 5 minutes from home. There will be at least 3 walks a day and lots of attention. FYI there is usually a family member home at all times. Pets are allowed on furniture. I will follow your regimen and provide videos and photos of your pet. I only want to service one to two pets at a time. There are no young children in our home.

About: Hi, my name is Erik! I have worked for local businesses (As well as Wag so I have a bit of app experience too) walking, training, boarding, and sitting dogs for a little over 7 years now. I love animals, being outside, and meeting new pups. Located in Bushwick, I'm a quick bike ride away from Williamsburg, Bed Stuy, Ridgewood, etc. I have no problem taking the train to further neighborhoods as well. I've lived in New York for a 11 years now so navigating around the city is no issue. I was raised in a animal loving house and couldn't be happier working with the them. I'm a jack of all trades and a big worker. I love the freedom of setting my own schedule and being outside getting my steps in. I get down to their level and let them inspect/smell me. I tend to pass the sniff test. I don't mind taking the time to wait until the pup is comfortable before going on our walk.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and intuition I bring to every animal I work with. I’m not just a sitter—I genuinely understand dogs on a deeper level. I’ve helped deliver puppies, cared for senior dogs with patience and attention to their changing needs, and I have hands-on experience rehabilitating abused and neglected animals. That means I’m calm, observant, and able to read behavior quickly—whether it’s a nervous rescue or an energetic puppy still learning boundaries. I’m especially comfortable with puppies (potty training, basic commands, structure) and senior dogs who need a slower pace, medication, or extra comfort. I also naturally go above and beyond—whether that’s making sure routines are followed closely, giving extra affection, or keeping a close eye on subtle changes in behavior or health. Outside of sitting, caring for animals is just part of who I am. I regularly feed and look out for stray animals, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be understood, protected, and genuinely cared for. As an only child, I’ve always found a deep sense of comfort and connection in caring for dogs. Being able to meet their needs, earn their trust, and give them love brings me a genuine sense of purpose and fulfillment. It’s something that feels natural to me, and it’s a big part of why I’m so dedicated to the care I provide. I have a large, fully fenced yard with low grass, which creates a safe and comfortable space for dogs to walk, play, run, and enjoy plenty of outdoor time.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals ever since I was about 12 years old. In high school I was a vet tech, but now I am a work from home pet mama that is looking to help out people who need to have their dog walked or in need of a pet sitter. I work from home so my schedule can be very flexible. If there is a time you don’t see available on my calendar please reach out to me and I can accommodate for you :) My cats (or any pet I have) are my entire world! Currently I have 2 senior fur kitties 10 and 13 who enjoy cuddling up with their mama on the couch while watching movies and also love the outdoors! Their favorite thing to do in the spring and summer is to sun bathe in our backyard and take in the views while the wind hits their face (supervised of course). If I’m taking care of your pet I will treat them like my own. I am always happy to meet before your trip to discuss logistics and get to know your fur baby so they feel comfortable with me.

“Eleni was WONDERFUL with my 2 cats!!! I will definitely be hiring her again!!! Mochi has diabetes and requires an insulin injection every 12 hours in addition to another medication twice a week and Eleni was happy to learn and able to give Mochi his meds which can be a bit daunting and sometimes difficult depending on his mood. but Eleni was attentive and really took the time to learn and care for him properly! my other cat Kumo is a scaredy baby and rarely shows his face around people but Eleni was patient and really put effort into getting him comfortable with her. Eleni updated me with great details about how they’re doing and food. the weather was changing every day from being very cold and then very hot and Eleni proactively adjusted the thermostat accordingly when needed! she would turn on cat TV every couple days AND put treats in their treat games daily so they would stay occupied during the day. Mochi had an accident and Eleni didn't hesitate to clean it up and take out the trash. she really took care of everything!”

“Alexander came into our lives at a very difficult time. My dog, Logan, went from being a very active, adventurous dog, living a wonderful life, going on daily 3-5 hr long walks, to losing his mobility in his back legs, due to a mass on his sacrum. This devastating diagnosis has changed our lives and has left him unable to walk. I hoped to find a kind, compassionate human who would hang out with Logan and be empathetic towards his needs. Alexander came over for the initial meet and greet and I knew that he would be a good companion friend to Logan. He was gentle with him, asked a lot of questions and Logan enjoyed his company. I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with Alexander. He stepped in and showed a lot of care and concern for Logan. He offered many suggestions to assist with things that could help Logan and myself—reusable diapers, Help Em Up harness, dog cart to go outside, towel to help assist Logan to get up, et al. Each visit, Alexander would send detailed observations from his time spent with Logan and let me know how everything went. He made sure to check Logan’s diaper and change it when needed. This has been super important so irritation from wearing a wet diaper doesn’t occur. I received many photos and saw that my boy was content and in good hands. Having Alexander come by has eased my mind while I’m away and helped me to feel better about having to leave Logan alone. I highly recommend Alexander to anyone who wants exceptional care for their animal friend and to those who have senior pets who need some extra care and support. He goes above and beyond and genuinely cares about what he’s doing and that says a lot. The care and support that Alexander has given to my gentle boy, means the world to me and to Logan. About: Growing up, I had the joy of loving and caring for an 80-pound, goofy, American Pitt Bull Terrier, named Meryn. Throughout my high school years, he was my constant companion, playing catch at the East River Park on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We would jog across the Williamsburg Bridge and run up and down the stairwell in my apartment building to burn off energy (we lived on the 11th floor). He was an incredibly curious boy, who made training fun. He was very motivated by treats and praise. Through repetition and treats he learned all the basic commands. I have petsat many times for family members over the years. Pets included are dogs (large and small breeds) cats, hamsters, and a bearded dragon once. My longest dogsitting experience lasted 3 weeks with my aunt’s pug, Coco Rico, while my aunt was on vacation. During this time, Rico had an ear infection and I had to administer his ear drops. Being a pug, I had to ensure his eyes and face folds were clean. I have catsit for my brother’s diabetic cat, Tuna Fish, on several occasions. I administered insulin injections daily. I learned how to measure the proper dosage and how to safely/comfortably give her the injections. She was diagnosed with diabetes in 2020, so it was not easy learning how to give a cat a shot via a Zoom call with the vet! But learning this and helping my brother with the insulin injections, kept Tuna going for 4 more years after diagnosis. This is by far the most medical care experience I have had with pets. Nowadays, I regularly borrow my Gen Z daughter’s dog, Espresso. He’s a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, and my favorite little guy. My grandpup, if you will. With this past winter being a very cold one in NYC, I ensured to dress Espresso in his sweater, coat, and boots for his walks. I do photo shoots with him while on walks, during play time, and naps. I update her with anecdotes throughout the day, such as mentioning any puppy pals we ran into while out and anything funny or adorable he’s done. She even recently said to me, “You take the most wonderful pictures of him.” That truly warmed my heart because I love capturing him in different places and poses. My pet baby now is an American short hair cat with calico patterned fur, named Basil (aka Ms. Lady Boop Boop). She’s a 16 year old, still feisty gal, who has a favorite fishy toy that dangles from a wand. Being a senior, she has developed arthritis in her old age and now makes use of cushioned stairs to get on the couch/bed. She also needs an eye ointment, the application of which has become part of our daily routine. In the past, when she has been ill, I've also given her medicine in liquid form via syringe as well as getting her to swallow a pill. Additionally, I took care of a feral cat that would visit me now and then. My family has a home in Albany, in upstate New York, and I'm happy to board dogs up there for weekends or extended stays should a pet parent allow it. The feral cat that would visit me was in Albany and would appear randomly in our backyard. I fed and watered him whenever he came by. He was deaf and the sweetest guy, who loved rubs and to hang out on our deck. He had an extra digit on each front paw, so I dubbed him Thumbs. One day, when he visited, I noticed immediately that he had fleas on him. I gave him a bath a kiddy tub in my backyard with flea shampoo. I bought the flea comb and collar and got rid of those pesky bugs. I know he was grateful because he'd been scratching so hard, his fur was missing in some places. I am a visual artist and writer, working from home, so my weekdays are flexible. I set my own schedule working on my projects so I can easily accommodate different pet types and time slots for care. I occasionally travel to my family home in Albany, upstate New York, but I always plan that ahead of time and I am happy to board pets up there if the pet parent is open to that option. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NYC. I am located on the 3rd (and top) floor of a walk-up building. I have a senior, female cat, who is very relaxed and sleeps most of the day. There is no outdoor space here, but there are local parks nearby, including a dog run. I also have a house upstate, in Albany, NY. There is plenty of space for running around here, including a backyard. We are currently having a fence put in and I will update this when it is installed.
