“I can’t say enough about how grateful we are to have found Catalina. She was truly amazing! From the start, I felt completely comfortable. She was professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. Throughout our three week trip, Catalina sent regular updates, photos, and videos, which made a huge difference for me as I was feeling very anxious being away. Her communication gave us real peace of mind, and that’s everything when leaving your pets in someone else's care. We absolutely plan to use her again and again. Highly recommend!”

About: • I worked at the Howard beach animal clinic as a veterinary assistant where I assisted veterinarians with vaccine administration, blood draws, and wellness checks for both cats and dogs. I also learned how to administer medication to dogs/cats, give cpr to dogs specifically, handle hyperactive, anxious, and/or aggressive dogs/cats, and work with all kinds of breeds ranging from chihuahuas to Great Danes. • Before that, I gained experience working with dogs by volunteering at nyc pet services in Astoria, where I took care of many different kinds of dogs by supervising the area and ensuring all dogs were happy and safe. • My love for animals started with my golden Labrador and poodle at age 5, then at age 12 I got a Maltese whom I’ve grown up with and is now 16 years old. My experience not only includes dogs and cats of different breeds and sizes but also temperament, behavior, and personality. All of this experience has taught me how to read dogs and cats better, know when to approach sensitive dogs, and the best way to interact with said sensitive dogs. I can accept same day request due to my very flexible schedule, because of my flexible schedule I can focus on your pets happiness! I will have plenty of time to take them out on long walks for exercise, play time, and feedings. I love to spend time with dogs and cats, they truly make my day so much better! If it’s too hot out we can have play time indoors with some nice AC and play with some enrichment puzzles! I can assure your best friend will be in good hands and I’ll take care of them as if they were my own. I live in a pet friendly building, I’m on the first floor so your pets can enjoy jumping and running as much as they want! I have a park nearby where we can enjoy long walks and play time. A large living room that they can explore and take comfy naps. I can also make them tasty treats if you’d like! I have a small senior Maltese, she’s 16 years old and enjoys taking many naps but will still love to make new friends. She’s very chill due to her age so you can rest assured that your pups will be safe, but if you’d rather them be separated I have a divider that will ensure that! My priority is that both the owner and pup are comfortable and happy :)

“Anscia was available for a last minute drop in that was needed and was very helpful in taking care of Gio while I was caught up at an appointment. Thank you, Anscia!!”

“Amazing sitter, kept me posted on my two cats and made the process of leaving them much easier. Very attentive, on time, always had photos, and is very good with our two feisty cats, and was able to gain their trust. Highly recommend Lyanyse, and will be booking again!”

“Excellent pet sitter! We received pictures and updates regularly. She communicated with us constantly and played with our kitties while we were away! Even brought toys to engage with them! Can’t recommend her enough!!”

“Sunita was absolutely amazing!! She went above and beyond to make sure my kitten was taken care of and updated me with photos and messages every time she visited. She was flexible around my busy schedule and stayed with my shy kitty to make sure he was eating and using his litter properly. I highly recommend using Sunita and would love to have her watch him again for my future trips!”

“Christy was amazing with checking in on our cat Boo. My husband and I went on vacation for a week and we couldn’t take Boo with us. Usually when we go away we take him but this trip we couldn’t. Boo has to take a few different meds to take twice a day. Christy stepped up and took such great care of him. She sent us numerous photos and videos. She also checked in everyday, twice a day when she’d go over and take care of him. She spent time with Boo and played with him as well. Christy put us at such ease as far as how Boo is doing with us away. If we go away again and can’t take Boo we will definitely be reaching out to Christy again.”

“Charlie has been amazing with my dog Oliver. He walks him during the day and is always reliable, attentive, and caring. I can tell Oliver genuinely enjoys his time with him, which gives me peace of mind while I’m busy. It’s not easy trusting someone with your dog, but Charlie makes it effortless. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and kind dog walker.”

“Satisfied customer, Each visit Dorothy sent photos of our cat playing or eating. She also cleaned up after our cat, who has accidents. It even seemed that she cleaned the floor near the pan. As an indicator of a friend to our cat, when she arrived to drop off the keys to our place, he went right to her to get a rub! She is an amazing cat sitter.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Queens
I booked Carolina to take care of my two cats while I was away and she was great! My cats were immediately comfortable with her, she takes time with them to play so they don’t get lonely, and followed their feeding schedules. She was responsive and proactive in her communications, which I appreciate as a cat mama. She’s reliable, kind, and warm so I knew my cats were in good hands. Looking forward to booking her again!!

Rosandy and Edward are excellent caretakers of Blaze and Starlette. I exclusively use the couple for my bookings. Being away from home for work a couple of days at a time is no longer stressful as a pet parent. I am truly thankful for Rosandy and Edward, God has blessed me by having them in my life.

Emily is just the best. She knows how to approach cats and wins them over within seconds. She played with our two, which they adored, and kept us completely up to date with her visits and how they were going. I’m really looking forward to hiring her again to look after my dog. Good people you can trust with your pets are hard to find - Emily is most definitely one of them, and I highly recommend her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Queens. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
