About: Hi! I'm Jewel, a dedicated animal lover who truly enjoys caring for pets of all kinds. I love both cats and dogs-friendly, playful cats and all dog breeds are welcome! Animals naturally gravitate toward me, and I take pride in making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have hands-on experience with many types of dogs, including reactive, friendly, and senior dogs. I've owned Chihuahuas, a Blue Heeler named Ava, and I currently have my own puppy, Romeo. My experience has helped me understand different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, in-home sitting, and overnight stays. For social dogs, I can also bring my puppy along for companionship-with your approval. Your pet's safety, happiness, and routine are always my top priority. I genuinely love what I do, and I treat every pet like family. You can count on me to provide reliable, attentive, and loving care. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I am currently working full-time from the comfort of my home, giving me maximum flexibility all days of the week and weekends to care for your pets. Sometimes I may just need to bring my computer or iPad along with me to stay on top of work. I have wide open availability ! Safety is my absolute number one priority! I hold a professional security license, as well as official certifications in pet CPR and First Aid, so you can rest assured that your beloved pets are in highly trained, capable hands. For in-home visits, I love working directly from your environment because it keeps your animals comfortable, stress-free, and in their familiar routine. I always treat your home with the utmost respect, care, and cleanliness while keeping your furry family members perfectly safe and sound
“I am very happy with Carolina. I have two very different dogs. One is high energy and very dominant while the other one is very timid. She handled both for the very well. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Ocho loves Thoselin! She’s been very conscientious and reliable, and I trust her in my home and with my baby. Ocho can be anxious and hard to get outside, but she’s been flexible and, judging by the photos she sends, he has a great time with her!”

“Ed was amazing with Kurama! Took the time to meet him the day before his first walk, and was extremely gentle with Kurama. Ed was also very respectful when entering the house as well. I highly recommend !”

“Nusta is a rockstar and she immediately got a long with my dog! She asked all the right questions, is punctual, and caring! Her communication is always appreciated and I will definitely be rebooking. Thank you again!!”

“Charlie was great with both Scott (cat) and Jamie (dog). He took great care of them while I was on vacation and they both loved him. Charlie did exactly what I had asked and he was never late. Great communication and lots of photos of my boys. I will definitely book again in the near future.”

“Ronnie was super communicative and updated me after every walk. My pup is very picky with walkers but he walked well with Ronnie. Would definitely rebook her for walks.”

“OMG like you’re the best!! Our dog loves you so much ? we will definitely keep in touch when we travel again, plus Baxter Met so much new friends!! Thank you again for being a really great walker for him!”

“What I’ve been searching for!!! Literally so sweet, knowledgeable about caring for dogs (bio hazards, safety and anxiety) she just gets it!! I’m glad Kobe and I found this hidden gem. I know he is truly in good hands, safe and happy. I trust her judgment and I don’t let anyone watch my dog but she’s the truth!”

“We had a fantastic experience! Annye took wonderful care of our cat, Louis (9), and our dog, Hazel (7), with drop ins and walks over a week. Communication was excellent (we received consistent updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind). Both pets were happy and bonded quickly, which says a lot. Also went above and beyond to handle a few issues that came up, and did so with flexibility and care. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend!”
“Amazing as always. My dog had a great time with her, and immediately chugged water when he got home from the walk. He hates drinking water! Glad he got some exercise, or at least as much as his little Chihuahua legs will allow him.”

“Sunita is FANTASTIC! I was looking for someone that is responsible, has good energy, is patient with allowing the pups to warm up to her, but also has the personality of someone I'd like to grab coffee or happy hour with :) It's a tall order but Sunita is all of those things! I immediately felt comfortable leaving her with my little two even knowing how picky they can be with strangers. I have no doubts she will quickly become one of Pablo and Bean's best friends.”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my reliability, attention to detail, and hands-on experience working with animals. I’ve volunteered at Sean Casey Animal Rescue, where I helped care for dogs with different temperaments, energy levels, and backgrounds. That experience helped me develop a strong understanding of animal behavior and how to provide calm, patient, and compassionate care. In addition, I often take care of friends’ dogs when they travel or are away, so I’m used to maintaining routines like feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are gone. I’m especially attentive with young pets who need structure and positive reinforcement, and I’m also comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need slower walks, extra attention, or medication reminders. I prioritize safety, consistency, and keeping pets relaxed in their environment. I also make sure pet parents stay informed by sending regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make every pet feel secure and cared for, and every owner feel confident their companion is in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible freelance schedule and currently no full-time job. This allows me to dedicate consistent time and attention to the pets I care for throughout the day. I’m able to plan my work around walks, drop-ins, feeding schedules, and playtime, making sure each pet gets reliable care and attention. Because of this flexibility, I’m also available for morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits when needed. My routine allows me to be dependable, responsive to pet parents, and fully focused on providing safe, attentive care for every pet. I provide attentive, reliable care that keeps pets comfortable and safe in their usual environment. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, taking dogs on walks, cleaning up after them, and making sure they get plenty of playtime, exercise, and affection. I also monitor their behavior and well-being to ensure they are happy and healthy while you’re away. For drop-ins or walks, I make sure pets get the physical activity and attention they need, along with bathroom breaks and any specific care instructions you provide. I respect your home, keep things clean, and send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is doing well. My goal is to make pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while giving owners peace of mind.

Dongju is absolutely amazing! She is caring, patient, loving, and, most importantly, trustworthy. She took wonderful care of my dogs and gave me complete peace of mind. I would recommend her to everyone I know without hesitation. If you're looking for someone reliable who truly loves animals, Dongju is the perfect choice!

Nusta has been absolutely amazing, and I can’t recommend her enough! She’s incredibly responsive, reliable, and always communicates so well. Patsy absolutely loves her, which gives me so much peace of mind every time they’re together. One thing I really appreciate is how accommodating she is—whenever I need an extra walk, she’s always willing to help if she’s available. She’s consistently respectful, kind, and clearly cares about the dogs she looks after. It’s obvious she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that shows in the way she treats Patsy. We’re so grateful to have found her!

Ian was so wonderful! We have a 16 YO 30lb mutt who is adorable but very ornery—she’s almost entirely deaf, somewhat blind, and generally cranky, so barks all the time at everyone and gets startled easily. Ian was so patient and gentle with her, the right amount of assertive vs deferential, and shared a ton of photos throughout the weekend to calm our nerves. Our babygirl was in great spirits when we got home and we are so grateful!
William was excellent with our dog Coco. Coco was quite nervous and apprehensive at first but William knew exactly what to do to make Coco feel better. And coco really enjoyed his walks with William. We will definitely be asking William to walk Coco in the future.
We are thrilled to be back with Ashley walking our dog Cagney after a two month break this winter. She is so kind and loving, patient and above all professional. She has also done a bit of training with him. Cagney gets so excited when the buzzer rings and runs to greet her. Definitely an asset to Rover!

We had a great experience with Julian watching Hazel, our Shih Tzu mix, and Louis, our Nebelung cat, for 10 days. He provided drop ins and walks and kept us updated throughout the trip with great communication and lots of photos, which we really appreciated. He was reliable and handled situations that came up during our time away, which gave us peace of mind. When we got home, both pets seemed happy, content, and very well cared for… Hazel even wanted to go with him when he returned our keys! Our home was also left pretty much exactly how we left it. We’re very thankful for the care he gave our pets and would absolutely book with him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
