“Charlie was great with my foster puppy, Joey! He is very communicative and kept me informed about his arrival times for the two days I requested walks. My puppy got adopted, but I will be going back to Charlie when I get my next pup!”
“Janet is an outstanding dog walker! She bonded immediately with our two English Setters, and they happily anticipate her arrival when it is time for a walk to our nearby park. Janet sends us photos, videos, and updates throughout the walk. She keeps up a brisk pace but is sensitive enough to allow the girls to sniff when they wish, without them sneaking any inappropriate "snacks" that might be lingering on the path. Janet has an upbeat personality, and is always on time yet very flexible. We can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“Sylvia is a great communicator and very caring to my dog. She made sure he got his water, wore his cooling vest, shoes and stayed safe during the most intense heat wave. She eased my worries, I highly recommend Sylvia!”

“Hemei has been great with my dog Kiara! She walks her a 3-4 times a week and is very responsive, professional, and communicative. She is very flexible with her schedule which is amazing since my week to week work schedule sometime varies. Hemei made the extra trek for a meet and greet before starting so that I could rest assured that my dog would be comfortable with her. She is reliable and a true dog lover and you know she will look after your fur baby as her own. Highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 2 decades. I’ve helped train dogs, provided prescribed medication, assisted in emergencies and give lots of puppy pats. I’ve worked with 15- year-old chihuahuas and 6 month old Labrador puppies without any issue or worry. Overall, I’ve been a pet owner and understand how important it is to feel comfortable putting your dog in a new situation. So I’m happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. My main priority is that your pet is safe, comfortable and cared for until your return. I’m a freelancer and I usually can work remotely, so I have the freedom to schedule my week as I see fit. That means I can take dogs out multiple times in a day, without it disrupting my schedule. In my home, I live in an apartment which means I take dogs out every 2 hours. Depending on their size and energy I take longer or shorter walks. And at other people homes I’m happy to follow specific instructions but, as my own set of rules, I make sure to clean any messes I find on the property, if a vacuum is available I’m happy to vacuum hair/fur, especially if the pet owner is away for more than 5 days, I’m always available to communicate if any owner wants to check in with me and of course I’m happy to face time if you’d like to check in on your pet. I usually send and end of day message with a picture of your pup and a review of our day.
“Briana has been amazing! Very puntual, polite and great communication skills. My 2 pups adore her. She has also been flexible to help me when i am working late and my pups need afternoon walks. I will continue booking with her.”

About: I’ve spent a lot of time researching what it takes to be a great cat parent, and I’m finally ready to welcome a feline friend into my home. I live in a stable, pet-friendly environment and have already 'cat-proofed' my space. I work a steady schedule, which means I’ll have plenty of time for evening play sessions and grooming. I’m looking for a companion to care for and am fully committed to providing a lifetime of quality vet care, high-quality food, and lots of affection. • Morning (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM): * Feeding: Fresh food and a water refresh (cleaning the bowl to prevent bacteria). • The "Litter Check": Scooping the box first thing ensures a clean start to their day. • Quick Interaction: A 5-minute brush or a quick "hello" play session before heading to work. • Evening (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM): • The Main Event (Play): 15–20 minutes of active play (laser pointers, feather wands) to simulate "the hunt." • Dinner: Feeding after play mimics the natural cycle of Hunt \rightarrow Eat \rightarrow Groom \rightarrow Sleep. • Second Scoop: Scoop the litter box again. • Night (10:00 PM): • Wind-down: Checking window locks and ensuring the cat is settled inside for the night. When caring for a pet in a client's home, the priority is minimizing stress by maintaining their exact environment and scent profile. • Security First: I would strictly follow entry/exit protocols (alarms, double-locking doors) to ensure no "door-dashers" escape. • The "Scent" Factor: I recommend keeping the home's routine identical. I’d use the client’s preferred cleaning supplies and keep the pet in the rooms they are most comfortable in. • Daily Logs: I’d provide "Proof of Life" updates—photos, feeding times, and notes on bathroom habits—so the owner feels connected while away. • Home Tidiness: Aside from pet care, I’d ensure the home looks exactly as it did when the client left (mail brought in, plants watered, no "pet mess" left behind).
“Deshauna walked and gave meds for our Yorkie, Champy. Deshauna accommodated our request for a meet-and-greet prior to walking him for the first time, which was important to explain the medication. During the walk, she arrived on time and was attentive to Champy's needs, and gave medication. Sent pictures and updates. I highly recommend!”

About: The first dog that I fell in love with was Charlie, my best friend’s beagle. I cared for him for weeks at a time, and that’s when I realized how much I enjoy looking after dogs. Since then, I’ve had the chance to care for several pets, both on and off the books, and each experience has made me love it even more. Although I’ve never owned a dog myself, I have a deep respect and appreciation for them. I understand the dedication, planning, and responsibility that goes into making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. As much as we wish we could bring our pets everywhere, sometimes the best choice is leaving them in a place where they feel at home. That’s the experience I aim to provide: reliable and thoughtful care that supports your pet’s comfort without requiring you to sacrifice your plans. I am currently unemployed and I live with my parents (who also love dogs), so there’s almost always someone home. I was working at Central Park for these last few months, but now that the season is over I can dedicate myself to working my dream job… along with finding a career that goes with my degree. I’ve cared for dogs both in my own home and in clients’ homes. Our quiet neighborhood has plenty of small parks and green spaces for quick walks or a good 30–35 minute wander. I also have a ground-floor apartment with a fenced backyard where dogs can roam, zoom, or take care of their business when a full walk isn’t ideal. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow whatever routine works best for their dog. I can stay overnight or visit in the mornings and evenings for walks, feeding, playtime, and light grooming. My priority is keeping each dog comfortable by sticking to the routine they know.
“It’s was such a blessing to have Cynthia walk our furry baby Aria during our 17 day trip overseas. She showed to be responsible, reliable and very loving with Aria. She sent me daily pics and documented every walk. It was such a joy to hear daily from their walks. Aria adores her and will keep coming back for more and more walks in the near future. Thank you so much Cynthia! Aria adores and misses you!”

About: Hi there! I’am Kostas, a passionate animal lover with 4 years of experience in pet care. I’ve had the pleasure of caring for dogs, cats, and other furry friends providing them with love, attention, and cuddles. I work part-time, with a schedule that changes weekly, but I have availability in the mornings, evenings, and nights. When I’m working, my girlfriend, who also loves and cares for animals, helps take care of your pet to ensure they always receive attention and care. Feel free to reach out, and we can find a time that works best for your pet’s needs! Before each visit, I review the pets information including the routines, diet and any medical conditions. I feed the pets according the owners instructions and ensure they have access to fresh water
About: From childhood to today, caring for dogs has been part of my life. Real experience, real responsibility, and genuine love for every pet I look after. I’m available Monday through Friday from 6–10pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays all day. Flexible, reliable, and ready to care for your pets always. 🐾 I provide care in clients’ homes, ensuring a safe, calm, and familiar environment. I follow instructions closely, prioritize trust, and treat every pet with respect.
About: I have taken care of my pets both back home and in the city for many years. My favorite part of taking care of dogs is having a buddy to walk around the city with. I love taking my time strolling through the park giving your dog lots of time to sniff. I also love giving your pet all the ear scratches they could want. I have experience giving oral medications to pets. I am very timely and responsible, especially when it comes to pets with special needs. I have a lot of love to give your pet and can’t wait to meet them! I am a current graduate student at Columbia so I have a flexible schedule during the day. I am generally available around midday on the weekdays. I also tend to have a flexible schedule in the evenings and on weekends. I love cuddles and playtime and think that every animal needs both. I always try to make sure your pet is getting all the love and spoiling they deserve. I like to approach pets I am meeting for the first time with a calm demeanor so they can get a sense of me and I can get a sense of them. But most importantly, I try to meet them where they’re at!

About: Growing up in Peru, I started to take care of dogs of every kind since I was 8 years old. I would always feed stray dogs, and whenever they saw me, they would run to me, and we would create memories together. At the age of 15, my mom brought me a beloved companion who is now 17 years old. I also share my heart with an adorable cat. Both mean the world to me. I've always felt that animals have beautiful souls full of emotions and should be treated with respect, love and compassion. Hence, my ultimate goals in life is to open an animal sanctuary to care for these intelligent creatures for the rest of my life. I am currently attending school full-time; however, I am available for any requested services except Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8am and 1pm. We can always work something out. I have a small fenced yard and one friendly, playful havanese who would love to have playdates with your fur baby. Im always vigilant about my surroundings to ensure the safety of my own fur babies, and I'm equally committed to safeguarding yours as if they were my own.
About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals from spiders to pitbulls- my family’s had a lot of pets over the years! I adore long walks, so if your pet has a lot of energy, I’ll make sure they’re tired out by the end of the day :) I’m starting college next week, so I’ll have tons of free time for your pets! I don’t have a lot of classes since I finished all my pre reqs in high school :) Depending on the details of your pet, I’ll make sure they have the care they need- whether that includes administering medicine, keeping up with energetic pups, or playing fetch for three hours straight until they get tired :)

Corona dog parents share their Rover experiences
We had a great experience with Julian watching Hazel, our Shih Tzu mix, and Louis, our Nebelung cat, for 10 days. He provided drop ins and walks and kept us updated throughout the trip with great communication and lots of photos, which we really appreciated. He was reliable and handled situations that came up during our time away, which gave us peace of mind. When we got home, both pets seemed happy, content, and very well cared for… Hazel even wanted to go with him when he returned our keys! Our home was also left pretty much exactly how we left it. We’re very thankful for the care he gave our pets and would absolutely book with him again.
Diego was amazing with my dog, Chai! He was super punctual and brought him back right on time after exactly an hour, which I really appreciated. He also kept me updated the whole time with pictures and messages, which made me feel so much more at ease while I was at work.

Xiaoying was fantastic! Our dog loved her from the first meeting. She went above and beyond to walk him, even saying hello to our cat (who is usually afraid of new people). She was very professional, timely, and flexible with a couple of last-minute changes, and sent us plenty of pictures. We would definitely recommend her!

David is a lifesaver!! I just rescued a chihuahua/daschund/russian fox terrier to the mix and Radar needs to do his business outside! He’s the dog potty break whisperer! When I’ve taken them out in the afternoon they get distracted easily! Both dogs both did their business (Harry never does !!) Thank you!

Janet is an outstanding dog walker! We can’t recommend her highly enough!

Charlie was wonderful with my two dogs. Could tell they really took to him to and enjoyed their walks. They can be very reactive to other dogs but he was keen in navigating that challenge, and ensuring everyone’s safety (they’re giant love bugs at home/with people. Just don’t get along with other dogs). Would definitely recommend him if you need a walker. He has my full trust.
