“Briana has been amazing! Very puntual, polite and great communication skills. My 2 pups adore her. She has also been flexible to help me when i am working late and my pups need afternoon walks. I will continue booking with her.”

“Laura is the best there is. She looks after Ralph my dog so well, he’s a high energy dog and she handles it with stride. 10 out of 10 couldn’t recommend Laura more. Very reliable and friendly / easy to book with”

“Janet is an outstanding dog walker! She bonded immediately with our two English Setters, and they happily anticipate her arrival when it is time for a walk to our nearby park. Janet sends us photos, videos, and updates throughout the walk. She keeps up a brisk pace but is sensitive enough to allow the girls to sniff when they wish, without them sneaking any inappropriate "snacks" that might be lingering on the path. Janet has an upbeat personality, and is always on time yet very flexible. We can’t recommend her highly enough!”
“Andrea was great:) my dog just walked right out the door with her and didn’t look back LOL , I was worried about letting my baby out with anyone cause she hates anything with wheels but she handled everything great . I’ll be using her again.”
About: The first dog that I fell in love with was Charlie, my best friend’s beagle. I cared for him for weeks at a time, and that’s when I realized how much I enjoy looking after dogs. Since then, I’ve had the chance to care for several pets, both on and off the books, and each experience has made me love it even more. Although I’ve never owned a dog myself, I have a deep respect and appreciation for them. I understand the dedication, planning, and responsibility that goes into making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. As much as we wish we could bring our pets everywhere, sometimes the best choice is leaving them in a place where they feel at home. That’s the experience I aim to provide: reliable and thoughtful care that supports your pet’s comfort without requiring you to sacrifice your plans. I am currently unemployed and I live with my parents (who also love dogs), so there’s almost always someone home. I was working at Central Park for these last few months, but now that the season is over I can dedicate myself to working my dream job… along with finding a career that goes with my degree. I’ve cared for dogs both in my own home and in clients’ homes. Our quiet neighborhood has plenty of small parks and green spaces for quick walks or a good 30–35 minute wander. I also have a ground-floor apartment with a fenced backyard where dogs can roam, zoom, or take care of their business when a full walk isn’t ideal. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow whatever routine works best for their dog. I can stay overnight or visit in the mornings and evenings for walks, feeding, playtime, and light grooming. My priority is keeping each dog comfortable by sticking to the routine they know.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for over 35 years. Family, friends, and neighbors have always turned to me to walk and feed their fur babies. I am a stay at home wife and mother to two adult children, so I will be available at any time for your convenience to walk and play with your fur baby. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. I had an 11-year-old Pomeranian that has just passed away on June 13, 2026. I will care for your pet with the same love and attention I gave my own. During walks, I’ll prioritize safety, exercise, and making sure your dog has a fun, positive experience.
“My Hero, Tedy is so reliable and attentive to my dogs needs. She has been walking my dog for weeks and I only have the most positive things to say about her professionalism, and loving nature. She is punctual and I get to see videos of my dog’s reactions to her visits which are so heartwarming because my dog loves her. Tedy will be an asset to anyone who is looking for support caring for our little family members.”

“Ocho loves Thoselin! She’s been very conscientious and reliable, and I trust her in my home and with my baby. Ocho can be anxious and hard to get outside, but she’s been flexible and, judging by the photos she sends, he has a great time with her!”

About: I've cared for both dogs and cats my whole life-- I've never lived without a pet! I also have experience as a volunteer caretaker through my local animal shelter, and a deep passion for animal welfare and happiness. I work part-time and am a part-time student, so please check my calendar for availability. I have class from 4-9pm Tuesday & Wednesday and my work schedule is typically the day shift on Monday and Thursday. Again, if there are any deviances, I will mark them on the calendar! I'm happy to let your pet set the pace-- if they're a cuddle bug, I'll give them snuggles, and if they need some time to warm up, I'll sit quietly while they get used to me. If your puppy feels the need for speed, I'll take him on a sprightly jog, but if your senior prefers to take the scenic route, we can stop and sniff every tree. I'll listen to your instructions and preferences and theirs.
“Jayly was great. Very communicative and took good care of our dog for his walk. Jayly also followed instructions for the dog’s particular feeding needs. We’ll definitely contact him again.”
“Austin is so great with our older French Bulldog, Penelope. She has some mobility issues, and he is incredibly patient with her, conscious of her need for short walks, and gives her a nice brushing and some outside time when she's done walking. She looks forward to having him come by every day, and so do we!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
