“Eric is awesome!!! Blue naturally gravitated to him. Eric is incredibly communicative and obviously knows how to deal with pets. He followed all the instructions for Blue. Will definitely be asking Eric for his help with Blue on a routine basis.”

“Hemei has been great with my dog Kiara! She walks her a 3-4 times a week and is very responsive, professional, and communicative. She is very flexible with her schedule which is amazing since my week to week work schedule sometime varies. Hemei made the extra trek for a meet and greet before starting so that I could rest assured that my dog would be comfortable with her. She is reliable and a true dog lover and you know she will look after your fur baby as her own. Highly recommend her!”

“It’s was such a blessing to have Cynthia walk our furry baby Aria during our 17 day trip overseas. She showed to be responsible, reliable and very loving with Aria. She sent me daily pics and documented every walk. It was such a joy to hear daily from their walks. Aria adores her and will keep coming back for more and more walks in the near future. Thank you so much Cynthia! Aria adores and misses you!”

“Charlie was great with both Scott (cat) and Jamie (dog). He took great care of them while I was on vacation and they both loved him. Charlie did exactly what I had asked and he was never late. Great communication and lots of photos of my boys. I will definitely book again in the near future.”

“Jessica has been caring for my dog Niko for several years. From the first meeting I was impressed with how she interacted with Niko and how quickly she put him at ease. He loves her and when I have to leave him knowing Jessica is there to care for him gives me incredible peace of mind! She is someone who really loves and understands animals and it shows in how happy and relaxed Niko is when I return home. You couldn’t ask for a better caretaker for your pet!”

“Im very happy to have worked with Yiming. Her communication, commitment and support with our puppy has played a big role in our potty and dog walking training. I hope to continue to work with Yiming as my schedule changes to throughout the year.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for 8 years to my Kokoni, so I’m very familiar with the day-to-day care, training, and love dogs need. I’ve also recently cared for my boyfriend’s German Shepherd/Husky mix for 3 weeks, where I helped with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and even took him to vet visits. These experiences have taught me patience, responsibility, and how to care for both small and large breeds. I’m currently job hunting, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. Right now, I’m available for walks anytime between 8 AM – 5 PM, and I’d be happy to adjust within that window to fit your dog’s routine. I only care for one dog at a time to make sure they have my full attention and feel comfortable. I believe in 100% communication and transparency with owners, so you’ll always know how your pup is doing. As a dog owner myself, I’m very mindful about where my dog walks and who they interact with and I’ll give your dog the same level of care and caution.
“Our girl can be a nervous pup towards new people. She warmed up to Erica so quickly. It made leaving a little easier. Erica is kind and listens to all of our requests. We would love to continue to work with her and have her back.”

“Very gentle and it’s obvious she cares for animals just how slow she walk with him, knowing he’s an older dog have a 14-year-old Shih Tzu. Don’t walk very fast and she just took her time that means a lot to me not to rush him around just to get the work over with. Thank you again Rachel. See you shortly.”
“Angelica has been our dog walker for about or even over two years now. I trust her fully with my furbaby and my dog loves seeing her so much! I’m very grateful to have found Angelica who loves and cares for all animals like they are her own.”

“Janet is amazing with my dog Luke. He enjoys his time with her. She takes Luke on nice long walks which he can’t get enough of. He comes home super happy and ready for a nap. I highly recommend her”

“Ivy has just started walking my dog Gabby.. she’s been outstanding so far… she’s been punctual, followed all my directions and most importantly has been amazing with Gabby. As I see how happy Gabby is when Ivy arrives for her walks. Wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend Ivy to any neighbor or friend with a pup needing walking.”

About: I’ve spent a lot of time researching what it takes to be a great cat parent, and I’m finally ready to welcome a feline friend into my home. I live in a stable, pet-friendly environment and have already 'cat-proofed' my space. I work a steady schedule, which means I’ll have plenty of time for evening play sessions and grooming. I’m looking for a companion to care for and am fully committed to providing a lifetime of quality vet care, high-quality food, and lots of affection. • Morning (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM): * Feeding: Fresh food and a water refresh (cleaning the bowl to prevent bacteria). • The "Litter Check": Scooping the box first thing ensures a clean start to their day. • Quick Interaction: A 5-minute brush or a quick "hello" play session before heading to work. • Evening (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM): • The Main Event (Play): 15–20 minutes of active play (laser pointers, feather wands) to simulate "the hunt." • Dinner: Feeding after play mimics the natural cycle of Hunt \rightarrow Eat \rightarrow Groom \rightarrow Sleep. • Second Scoop: Scoop the litter box again. • Night (10:00 PM): • Wind-down: Checking window locks and ensuring the cat is settled inside for the night. When caring for a pet in a client's home, the priority is minimizing stress by maintaining their exact environment and scent profile. • Security First: I would strictly follow entry/exit protocols (alarms, double-locking doors) to ensure no "door-dashers" escape. • The "Scent" Factor: I recommend keeping the home's routine identical. I’d use the client’s preferred cleaning supplies and keep the pet in the rooms they are most comfortable in. • Daily Logs: I’d provide "Proof of Life" updates—photos, feeding times, and notes on bathroom habits—so the owner feels connected while away. • Home Tidiness: Aside from pet care, I’d ensure the home looks exactly as it did when the client left (mail brought in, plants watered, no "pet mess" left behind).

William was excellent with our dog Coco. Coco was quite nervous and apprehensive at first but William knew exactly what to do to make Coco feel better. And coco really enjoyed his walks with William. We will definitely be asking William to walk Coco in the future.
I have been working with Brandon for the past couple of weeks while I have been fostering a puppy, Zen. I cannot say enough good things about him! First off he is great with Zen. He treats Zen as if he’s his own. Brandon has helped build Zen’s leash skills. He very patient with him and encouraging. He sends me great notes about the walks and Zen’s overall behavior. I look forward to working with Brandon with other foster pups or my own. Yours is in good hands when with Brandon. I can’t recommend him enough.

Huixian is excellent..I needed a last-minute and she were absolutely amazing! Super responsive, reliable, and so caring with benji . They made the whole process stress-free and gave me complete peace of mind. Benji was happy and well cared for — I truly appreciate the flexibility and kindness. Highly recommend! 🐾💕”

We had a great experience with Julian watching Hazel, our Shih Tzu mix, and Louis, our Nebelung cat, for 10 days. He provided drop ins and walks and kept us updated throughout the trip with great communication and lots of photos, which we really appreciated. He was reliable and handled situations that came up during our time away, which gave us peace of mind. When we got home, both pets seemed happy, content, and very well cared for… Hazel even wanted to go with him when he returned our keys! Our home was also left pretty much exactly how we left it. We’re very thankful for the care he gave our pets and would absolutely book with him again.
Janet is an outstanding dog walker! She bonded immediately with our two English Setters, and they happily anticipate her arrival when it is time for a walk to our nearby park. Janet sends us photos, videos, and updates throughout the walk. She keeps up a brisk pace but is sensitive enough to allow the girls to sniff when they wish, without them sneaking any inappropriate "snacks" that might be lingering on the path. Janet has an upbeat personality, and is always on time yet very flexible. We can’t recommend her highly enough!

Charlie was wonderful with my two dogs. Could tell they really took to him to and enjoyed their walks. They can be very reactive to other dogs but he was keen in navigating that challenge, and ensuring everyone’s safety (they’re giant love bugs at home/with people. Just don’t get along with other dogs). Would definitely recommend him if you need a walker. He has my full trust.

I can’t say enough good things about vivian she is reliable, caring, and truly treat my dog like family. I always feel at ease knowing my pup is in such loving and responsible hands. Communication is great, and I get updates that make my day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
