About: I have grown up around dogs as well as owned my own dogs for many years. I am well versed in walking, feeding, bathing, and simple grooming techniques. Currently, I work at a vet clinic where we have patients of all shapes and sizes, and I also spent two years being a puppy sitter for Seeing Eye puppies in training. Due to those two years, I have experience with puppies as young as 7 weeks old, and can confidently assist with basic obedience training where needed. I also have experience with larger breeds like Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and German Shepherds. My schedule changes weekly, however, I am almost always available for at least 4 days of the week! I also have extracurriculars but those are flexible and can be worked around. I always make sure to double check the fit of harnesses/collars to ensure the safety of pets on a walk. I am capable of putting an animal back in a crate if necessary as well.
“Antoinette was wonderful. She stayed in communication with me while I was away and went above and beyond to make sure my cats were fed, happy and comfortable. I would absolutely use her again !”

About: Hi, I'm Maria! I adore dogs and cats! I've been walking and sitting dogs for over 13 years and a professional pet photographer for 8 years. I grew up with lots of cats and dogs, and I volunteered at an animal hospital while in college. Today, I have a friendly female creme Shiba Inu, Lula. I offer 1/2-hour or full-hour dog walks and pets sitting in the Whitestone and Beechhurst areas of Queens. I will take your puppy to the park for a stroll, a dog park or just around your area - whatever you prefer. Dogs in my trust for walks are NEVER left alone or unsupervised. I always "clean up" after dogs in my care and keep them on the leash unless, with your permission, we go to a secure fenced dog park. Whatever your instructions I will make sure they are followed exactly as you request. I'm a punctual, responsible, and respectful person who loves dogs. I will take good care of your puppy as if they were my own. I will make sure they feel comfortable and receive plenty of attention and affection during their stay with me! As a lifelong owner of dogs and cats, providing a consistent schedule of daily care, feeding, walks, and affection comes naturally to me and my schedule. I provide care, feeding, clean up and affection as instructed. I'm also happy to follow any other instructions that may be specific to each pet.
“Dorothy was a fantastic sitter for our cats. She was communicative, professional and went above and beyond to take care of the cars during a snow storm. I’d recommend her highly!”

About: I have over 5 years of experience in caring for small to large-sized dogs for my friends and family. Walking, feeding, and playing with dogs are all in my wheelhouse. I also have a family dog named Soondeng whom I've been raising since 2020. Dogs are precious and so lovable and I'm excited to welcome more into my life! I work a full-time job that's fully remote and has a lot of flexibility. I typically like to step out in the afternoon to take breaks and go on walks so I have no trouble fitting pet care into my daily routine. Some weekends are also available. I am attentive to your dog's needs and work well with thorough care instructions. I make sure to follow any particular feeding and walking schedules. I also love open communication, so I will not hesitate to reach out to you and ask questions if I want clarification on something.
“I had Xiaoying feed my 2 year old cat Mo for several days while I was on vacation and she was incredible! She went above and beyond, checking and cleaning her litter box, bringing toys, and spending lots of quality time with her. Her reports were always incredibly detailed and included lots of pictures. She was quick to respond and made the whole booking process super easy. I can't recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve taken care of big dogs and cats. I find it easy to connect and bond with animals. Me and my partner have a cat that stays at his place. Since I’m self-employed, I’m pretty much free any weekday at any time to take care of your furry friends! This includes morning, afternoon and nights. I would prefer to not care for pets in my home unless it’s a cat or small dog as my space wouldn’t be ideal for bigger dogs
About: I've taken care of dogs, guinea pigs, and fish. I myself have a seven year old bichon who I take care of. I can take your fur babies on walks, a personal pet picnic, or even take them to a pet park so they can socialize with other pets. I am currently a full time teacher. So I am available after 2:30 and full time on weekends. To schedule care time, please give me two weeks notice. Thank you! I can take care of your dog in your own home. Of course, safety comes first, please leave me notes so that I will be aware of it.
“Kloe was extremely caring for our three cats. They trusted her right away. She fed, cleaned and played with them while we were away. Sent so many cute pictures and videos. Definitely recommend!”

“Laura was great! She took excellent care of our cat, Ernie, while we were away. She clearly loves animals and was so kind and gentle with him. Thank you, Laura!”

“First time arranging a sitter for my cat and I was nervous, but I got Christy and she has been amazing and lovely. Cats can be cats and I worried if my girl got overstimulated and took a “stop petting me now” swipe a sitter would be upset, but Christy gets cats! I got updates and photos every visit and she made sure I knew my kitty was doing well. It was such a relief that she genuinely likes my cat! Will definitely be using Christy again!”

About: I have 10 years of experience in raising cats and 6 years of experience in rescuing stray cats. I have 3 cats at home. I am experienced in taking care of kittens, sick cats and dealing with cat stress. I live in a large house with 6 rooms and a backyard for two families. Most of the cats that come to foster care are in single rooms. I love cats, just like I love my own children. My husband and I work from home, so we have plenty of time to take care of your pets, we have plenty of time to take them for a walk. The house I live in has two floors and six rooms. I hope the owner provides food, and I will be provide snacks. The cats will live alone in the cat house for the first two days when they come to my house. I will observe the friendliness of the cats to decide whether to let them play with other cats.
About: Passionate about providing compassionate. My skills are playing tricks, fetch, sit, down, stay, come. A great way to exercise and build a bond. I like to get to know them. Mornings often begin with feeding, walks (for dogs), or playtime, depending on the pet's needs. Midday might include check-ins, litter box cleaning, or administering medication. Evenings are for meals. I prioritize pet care appointments and dedicate the necessary time. My schedule is open on weekday and weekends, anytime of the day. In my home, I provide a safe, clean environment with personalized routines. In clients' homes, I follow their instructions, respect their property, and provide regular updates. Love and attention are always included!
About: I was previously in a internship program about animals specifically dogs for a whole summer. Picking up after them and feeding them. It was about 28 dogs on the busiest days and the minimum was about 10 so I got to know very different and unique dogs. As of now I am open and available to watch any furry animals like cats or dogs for as long as I am required too. I have a very nice and playful dog myself that loves the company of other animals. She loves making friends and is gentle with smaller animals.
About: I really pay attention to each pet’s routine and the little things they do like their body language, energy level, and what makes them feel comfortable or stressed. I try to keep everything as close to their normal schedule as possible so they feel safe and settled, even when their owner isn’t home. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly schedule because I’m available Monday through Saturday. I make time each day for walks, check-ins, and any care pets need. I stay flexible so I can follow each pet’s routine and keep them comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I always focus on making pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable whether I’m in my home or the client’s home. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible like feeding times, walks, play, and anything specific the owner asks for. When I’m in a client’s home I respect their space and keep everything clean and secure. I always double check doors and gates to make sure the pet stays safe. I also pay close attention to how the pet is acting so I can tell right away if they need something or seem uncomfortable. My goal is to keep things stress free so pets feel relaxed and owners feel confident their pet is being well cared for.

“Thank you, Brianna, for taking care of my elderly cats for two weeks! Usually, when I leave them, they get upset and could pee all over and make a mess. At this time, I came back to the clean apartment, and my cats were healthy and cheerful 😻.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Flushing
Charlie did a really good job with Cato. He was eager to take notes during our first meeting, and double checked most details I provided to ensure he provided the best care for Cato. His communication was very strong, especially when Cato ate something she shouldn’t have. If you need a sitter, I’d do it!
Fadong was excellent!! I needed someone very last minute and reached out to several people early in the morning, and he replied immediately and assured me my boy would be in the best hands. And he meant it! He was very communicative, on time, and very attentive and loving with my Biggie. I am very happy with his care and highly recommend him to any other person looking for high quality care for their pups.

Lily is the absolute best sitter! She is a warm and wonderful person and takes such good care of my 14 year old girl. I have total trust in her to take care of Bella when I’m not home and at work. She always shares the sweetest photos of Bella and goes above and beyond with taking care of her. She is a reliable, trustworthy, honest, good person. Cannot recommend Lily enough!

She was such an angel to come care for my dog last minute!! He’s a big boy and not the easiest to handle and she did a great job with him. She did drop in visits and it was so nice to have someone I could trust in my home and with my dog. 100% recommend her and I will book with her again for next time.

Daniel was beyond professional, he took care of Hiro as his own son and was always the best in the business. I would highly recommend him to anyone who’s going away and entrusting him with their house key and pets to him. Daniel should be the standard of Rover.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
