“Hemei did a great job taking care of our cat. She did everything we asked and was very communicative. We felt very comfortable being away with our cat in her care and would definitely book her again.”

“Excellent care and communication for my elderly cat who needs multiple medications. Thank you for helping me feel comfortable and secure while I was away for thanksgiving”
“Angela did an excellent job watching and feeding my cat and fish while I was gone for the weekend. We'll definitely be requesting her again in future when we're out of town and need sometime to take care of our animals!”

About: I’ve spent over 23 years caring for animals and grew up around large, strong dog breeds like Cane Corsos and Pit Bulls. I’m comfortable and confident with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I also have a deep love for cats and understand how different their needs can be. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level, whether that means long walks, quiet companionship, playtime, or simply being a calm presence. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already structure my days around consistency, movement, and responsibility, and as a runner, I’m very comfortable maintaining an active, dependable schedule. Caring for animals feels seamless rather than disruptive. I’m reliable with walks, feeding schedules, and check-ins, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s exercise, quiet companionship, or routine care. I plan my schedule thoughtfully so pets receive consistent attention and are never treated as an afterthought. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I follow their established routines closely so pets feel secure and comfortable. I’m attentive to doors, leashes, and surroundings, and I move at each pet’s pace, especially in new environments. I keep spaces clean, calm, and predictable, and I respect both the pet’s boundaries and the owner’s preferences. I communicate clearly with pet parents and make sure pets are never rushed, overstimulated, or put in situations that feel unsafe.
“Neil is amazing! He was prompt, thoughtful, and detailed oriented throughout. He cared for both of my dogs and really took the time to get to know their personalities, quirks, and routine. Thank you Neil!!”

“Garrett took great care of our cats! Both kittens enjoyed snuggling and playing with him. They were very well-cared for during the couple of days when we weren’t around.”

About: I graduated from college with a Bachelors degree majoring in animal science with a concentration in canine care. Which includes behavior, aggression, handling, and training. I have worked with dogs before. I am great with with many different types of dogs and I love to interact with them. I care greatly for the whatever dog that is in my care. I am available mostly on the weekend. I have open availability during the week if given a few days in advance. I love to play and have fun with dogs. I have also have some experience with grooming, walking, caring uses and training dogs and kennel work. I have flexible hours and I am good at understanding what the owner and their dog wants and needs. I like to take care of different kinds of breeds of dogs. I spend most of my time taking care of my dogs who are a handful but gives me so much joy in life. I am currently just doing temporary work so I am mostly at home and able to take care of pets in-between taking care of my own dog. I live in an apartment so I will often my dog and a clients dogs to the dog park if the client allows it. If I am at the client's home then I will abide by the rules that the client sets for their pet.
“I booked Elizabeth to care for my cat, Scout, and she was absolutely wonderful. Scout is timid and very selective with people, but he responded to her gentle, patient energy right away. Elizabeth kept me updated, sent thoughtful check‑ins, and treated Scout with real care. It gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who is kind, reliable, and truly understands animals.”

“So happy to work with Brigette again! It’s nice having peace of mind knowing someone who takes such good care of our dog and we can rely on for long term stay or just a drop in.”

“Kaitlyn did a great job with my cat, Cheech. I arranged for 2 visits per day and got cute picture updates each time she visited. One thing that sets Kaitlyn apart from other sitters is her experience as a veterinarian technician and her deep familiarity and knowledge of care for cats as well as dogs. Will def use Kaitlyn again for my next trip! Highly recommend.”

About: I've cared for both dogs and cats my whole life-- I've never lived without a pet! I also have experience as a volunteer caretaker through my local animal shelter, and a deep passion for animal welfare and happiness. I work part-time and am a part-time student, so please check my calendar for availability. I have class from 4-9pm Tuesday & Wednesday and my work schedule is typically the day shift on Monday and Thursday. Again, if there are any deviances, I will mark them on the calendar! I'm happy to let your pet set the pace-- if they're a cuddle bug, I'll give them snuggles, and if they need some time to warm up, I'll sit quietly while they get used to me. If your puppy feels the need for speed, I'll take him on a sprightly jog, but if your senior prefers to take the scenic route, we can stop and sniff every tree. I'll listen to your instructions and preferences and theirs.

“Kimberly is not only great with our high energy dogs, she is a nice, friendly person. She is easy to communicate with. We will definitely have her come back when we need help with the dogs again!”

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!
“Ella was so great with my cat, Ollie! He instantly loved her and they played and cuddled together. He is normally shy with new people, so I credit her for being patient and slow with him. Would definitely recommend her services!”

About: I've taken care of my 9 year old Pekingese Jax since he was a puppy! He's my Taurus bestie! Now I have the joy of raising my 6 month old Goldendoodle Sevyn! Routine and fun is KEY! I currently work part time so I have plenty availability to care for and have fun with your fur baby! Schedule times for feeding and peepee poopoo time! At my home I have a large patio where your pet can eat, chill and lounge and people watch! However you parent your pet at home will be the rules I follow!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since being a child. What sets me apart from other sitters is my motivation and love for the caring of animals. I’m currently only in college taking only a few classes, so I’ll have lots of time to play and walk with your pup! I live in an apartment, but live right next to the infamous Crotona Park, so your pup will always have a fun, big, and interesting park to walk in when they’re staying with me.
“Katie is amazing, Simba loves her and he even came out the first day she came to sit for him. I am so happy to have found her because she really keeps me updated on him and send a lot of pictures. I feel so much at ease because now I know he will be taken care of with lots of Love. Thank you so much Katie, looking forward to work with you for more visits to come.”

Lily is the absolute best sitter! She is a warm and wonderful person and takes such good care of my 14 year old girl. I have total trust in her to take care of Bella when I’m not home and at work. She always shares the sweetest photos of Bella and goes above and beyond with taking care of her. She is a reliable, trustworthy, honest, good person. Cannot recommend Lily enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
