About: I have owned animals my whole life and cared for them. I attended an animal science program for two years where I cared for dogs of all sizes and ages. My duties included walking, feeding, bathing, nail and fur trimming, and cleaning kennels. I have also pet sat for friends and family for 4 years taking care of both cats and dogs. I am currently a full time student but I do a mix of in person and virtual classes and take a light course load so I have plenty of time to fit pet care into my schedule. I can easily crate pets if needed, I am good at calming down animals in distress. I can also administer medication and follow special diets as needed.

About: My name is Jonathan and I am currently 30 years old, working full-time as a dog sitter and remote product designer and living in Great Neck, NY. I currently have a 8 year old golden retriever! I have always loved dogs as I grew up with a Maltese when I was in kindergarten before getting my golden. I'm also very good at training through positive reinforcement and handling medium to large breeds. I also have experience taking care of multiple dogs at the same time. Lastly, I can easily tell when dogs are in trouble or need to use the bathroom, etc. My schedule is extremely flexible so I can accommodate most requests! I wake up at 9am everyday to let my dog out for a morning potty break. We then go for a walk at noon, one at 6pm, and one more at 10pm before bed. I have a fenced in yard that is locked at all times. I will be present in the backyard anytime the dogs are there and will keep an eye on them while they play. I will be home 24/7 while your dog is with me, and will be monitored at all times.
“Ari provides an exceptional dog walking service that I wholeheartedly recommend. His reliability, caring approach, and commitment to safety makes him stand out. With excellent communication and professionalism, he ensures peace of mind for me and Coby. 10/10 would recommend.”

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!
About: With experience caring for dogs during extended stays of up to 30 days, I understand how important it is for pups to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I provide attentive, personalized care through daily walks, playtime, companionship, and maintaining their usual routines as much as possible. I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and preferences! My goal is to make every dog feel right at home and give pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry friend is in good hands. Since I am self-employed, I can offer flexible care. I’m available Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm (Wednesdays after 3pm), plus some evenings and weekends if needed. Happy to work around your pup’s needs! Safety, comfort, and fun are my top prioritie. I always want to make sure every pup feels loved and secured. I maintain clear communication with owners at all times!
About: Feathers, Fur, and Everything In Between Hey there! I’m Joanne, and I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals. My Experience: * Bird Mom: I’ve owned exotic birds for 15 years. * Vet Assistant Perks: I spent time working in a vet clinic, so I have experience working with cats and dogs. I know what to look for to make sure everyone is healthy and safe. * Shelter Volunteer : I’ve spent plenty of time volunteering at shelters, which means I’m great with small animals and exotics. My Philosophy: Whether I’m hanging out with your cat, walking your dog, or making sure your bird is chirping, I treat your pets like they’re my own family. You’ll get plenty of photos and updates so you know they’re having a good time while you’re away. Bottom line: Your pet’s comfort is my #1 priority. Let’s chat and see if I’m the right fit for your family ! By day, I’m working at the hospital, but in my off-hours, I’m all about the animals. Since my work life is all about care and attention to detail, I bring that same energy to looking after your pets during my free time. I’ve spent 15 years keeping exotic birds, and I currently have two budgies of my own. They get flight time, fresh water, and a spread of fresh veggies every single day—and I bring that same "spoiled and healthy" standard to every pet I watch. Whether you have a dog, a cat, or a feathered friend, I’ll make sure your pet gets the same experience. I make it my mission to ensure every pet in my care gets the exercise they need and their meals exactly how they like them.

“Garrett took great care of our cats! Both kittens enjoyed snuggling and playing with him. They were very well-cared for during the couple of days when we weren’t around.”

About: I've cared for both dogs and cats my whole life-- I've never lived without a pet! I also have experience as a volunteer caretaker through my local animal shelter, and a deep passion for animal welfare and happiness. I work part-time and am a part-time student, so please check my calendar for availability. I have class from 4-9pm Tuesday & Wednesday and my work schedule is typically the day shift on Monday and Thursday. Again, if there are any deviances, I will mark them on the calendar! I'm happy to let your pet set the pace-- if they're a cuddle bug, I'll give them snuggles, and if they need some time to warm up, I'll sit quietly while they get used to me. If your puppy feels the need for speed, I'll take him on a sprightly jog, but if your senior prefers to take the scenic route, we can stop and sniff every tree. I'll listen to your instructions and preferences and theirs.
“Again, used my sitter Angelica and was very please how she took care of my animals. would recommend her to anyone. She provides excellent service and loving care to my animals. Gene Kelty”

“Though it was Michelle second time of sitting Katie and Maya, she was able to pet Maya who usually does not show up and allow her own family members to pet her. Great Job! I would recommend and use her again.”

About: I’m an experienced pet parent and a proud cat mom of 6 cats. Caring for multiple cats has helped me develop a strong understanding of different personalities, behaviors, and individual needs. Beyond caring for my own cats, I have provided in-home cat care for friends, including caring for two cats while they were away. I have also gained professional pet-sitting experience through another pet care platform, where I regularly care for an 8-year-old cat for a repeat client who has trusted me as her go-to sitter. My experience includes feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, grooming, medication support when needed, and providing companionship for cats with different temperaments. I understand that every cat has their own routine and personality, and I always take the time to make them feel safe and comfortable in their own home. When caring for your pets, I treat them like my own. I will provide thoughtful updates, photos, and attentive care so you can feel confident and relaxed while you’re away. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As a cat mom of 6, I’m used to maintaining consistent feeding schedules, cleaning litter boxes, monitoring behavior, and providing daily play and companionship. Outside of caring for my own cats, I set aside dedicated time for pet sitting visits, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning up, playtime, and sending updates to owners. I understand that pets feel most comfortable with consistency and routine, so I always make sure they receive reliable and attentive care. I’m able to plan my schedule around pet care needs and provide dependable visits while treating every pet with the same patience and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I understand that cats especially feel safest in their own environment, so I follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, litter box care, playtime, grooming, and any special needs. Before each visit, I take time to learn about the pet’s personality, habits, favorite activities, and any concerns the owner may have. During visits, I provide attentive care, spend quality time with the pet, keep their space clean, and make sure they receive plenty of patience and affection. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while they are away.
About: Taking care of animals has always been a huge part of my life! I grew up surrounded by pets (dogs, birds, fish, the odd reptile) so I’ve always had a special bond with animals. I believe every pet deserves to feel loved and safe, and I’m passionate about making sure your buds feel right at home with me. I can’t wait to meet them! I work from home most days, so I'd be delighted to hang out your pets in my home during the work day or, if you're nearby, take a trip over to yours to play and take them out! I live in a pet-proofed apartment (no loose cords or choking hazards to be found!). I can also crate your pet if necessary and if they're comfortable with that -- adjusting to a new space can be scary!
About: I’m a full time speech-language pathologist who loves spending my free time staying active - and nothing motivates me to get my daily steps in quite like a happy dog or cat by my side. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages for friends, family, and neighbors, and I’m looking to add more pet time (and snuggles!) into my routine. Whether your pet needs a long walk, gentle company, playtime, or medication reminders, I’m your girl! I also know how important it is to feel confident while you’re away, so I provide consistent communication and plenty of photo updates. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while I get my daily dose of fresh air - and furry cuddles! I’m currently working full time as a speech language pathologist at a developmental preschool. My regular hours are 8-4 during the week. So I am available weekends and after my work hours from 4-8. I believe every pet deserves attentive, loving care, and I’m committed to making animals feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I take time to learn each pet’s unique personality - whether they’re energetic, shy, playful, or a professional napper - and tailor my care to what makes them feel best.

Lily is the absolute best sitter! She is a warm and wonderful person and takes such good care of my 14 year old girl. I have total trust in her to take care of Bella when I’m not home and at work. She always shares the sweetest photos of Bella and goes above and beyond with taking care of her. She is a reliable, trustworthy, honest, good person. Cannot recommend Lily enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
