About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. About: I like to joke that I was “raised by Rottweilers,” because at three months old my parents delivered a litter of rottie pups. We always had rotties growing up until we got into rescuing mastiffs. I’ve been involved in rescue work since I was very young, and caring for animals is just second nature to me. My 7-year-old special-needs pup, Blake, is my heart. He’s been with me since I rescued him as a tiny puppy off the streets of Puerto Rico. More recently, we welcomed Jet, a bouncy heeler mix who keeps us all on our toes with his endless energy! Seeing Blake and Jet as my fur babies means I understand firsthand the patience and attention it takes to care for dogs with very different needs. Anything from managing medical routines to channeling playful energy - I have it covered. I treat every pet like family, because that’s exactly what they are to me. I work full-time from home, so my schedule is very flexible. My dogs get a quick morning walk around Powderhorn, followed by regular potty breaks in the yard and a longer hour+ walk/hike after 3pm. I live in a townhouse community with an unfenced yard that is great for playing fetch and running. Otherwise, as most Jackson locals, I am often on the local trails, or the Snake River Levee, making sure animals in my care get plenty of exercise and socialization!

About: I’ve had my dog for 6 years now. Since getting her I have taken care of her by feeding her, taking her on walks, spending time with her in general, and being the sole care taker when my family is away. I also worked at a pet supplies store for 9 months, only leaving to go to college. There I learned about what dogs and cats need in general as well as got experience interacting with the many different types of dogs when they entered the store. There I met a dog, Neo, who I got to know when I became there dog walker. It gave me experience in walking a dog and getting to know a dog that wasn’t my own. About: I’ve have a dog since I was 5, have been dog walking since the age of 14 and have always been so fond of pets!!! I am now a senior at UMich and have a lot of time on my hands! I am taking only 3 courses so I will be spending most of my time at home! I will be able to spend majority of my time at home, taking care of your pets! My house is super pet-friendly!
