About: I have owned animals my whole life and cared for them. I attended an animal science program for two years where I cared for dogs of all sizes and ages. My duties included walking, feeding, bathing, nail and fur trimming, and cleaning kennels. I have also pet sat for friends and family for 4 years taking care of both cats and dogs. I am currently a full time student but I do a mix of in person and virtual classes and take a light course load so I have plenty of time to fit pet care into my schedule. I can easily crate pets if needed, I am good at calming down animals in distress. I can also administer medication and follow special diets as needed.

About: I am a passionate and devoted animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I grew up raising and lovingly caring for 4 German Shepherds and 1 Collie, which gave me complete confidence in handling large, strong breeds. Additionally, I have extensive experience caring for and breeding Jack Russell Terriers, making me well-versed in managing energetic, active dogs. Whether your dog is a big gentle giant or a small high-energy pup, I ensure they receive safe walks, attentive feeding, interactive playtime, and lots of love. I always carefully follow all owner instructions and send frequent photo updates so you have complete peace of mind. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I manage my schedule to ensure that pets in my care receive frequent attention, regular potty breaks, timely feeding, and engaging daily walks. Because my routine is flexible and structured, your dog or cat will never feel lonely and will always get the focused care, exercise, and affection they need throughout the day. Safety and comfort are my highest priorities. I maintain a clean, calm, and secure home environment where pets feel safe and relaxed. During walks, I strictly keep dogs on a leash, stay attentive to surroundings, and avoid unnecessary risks or conflicts with other animals. I closely follow every owner's specific rules regarding diet, medication, and routine, and I make sure your home and pets are treated with maximum respect and care.

About: I've cared for pets my whole life and enjoy doing so. Before losing by beloved fur son last year, I would walk him and my cousins dog when he would go out of town. Along with the dogs and cats I've encountered, I strongly prioritized providing them with mental stimulation. Walking and challenging play is essential to their wellbeing and I've encouraged friends with pets to do more on their behalf. As an afterschool tennis coach, the flexibility and active work would be best for my shift at 1:30pm and after 6pm. This kind of work keeps me engaged and on my feet. I follow the owners strict diets and regiments for their fur babies and keep things tidy. I respect the pet as I would any adult or pet of my own by keeping a close eye on them and developing a loving and trusted relationship.

About: Hi! I’m Cristina, a responsible and caring college student who genuinely loves animals, especially cats. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine, provide companionship, and send updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. As a college student, I keep a structured schedule and can offer reliable pet care during select weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I’m especially available for drop-in visits, cat care, and walks, and I’ll always communicate clearly about availability. I understand that trust is one of the most important parts of pet care. In a client’s home, I always respect the space, follow instructions carefully, and make sure pets stay safe, comfortable, and on their usual routine. I pay attention to details like feeding instructions, clean water, litter box care, walks, and keeping doors securely closed. I also provide updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

First time arranging a sitter for my cat and I was nervous, but I got Christy and she has been amazing and lovely. Cats can be cats and I worried if my girl got overstimulated and took a “stop petting me now” swipe a sitter would be upset, but Christy gets cats! I got updates and photos every visit and she made sure I knew my kitty was doing well. It was such a relief that she genuinely likes my cat! Will definitely be using Christy again!

About: Hi! My partner and I have been caring for our friend’s dog for several years whenever she travels — and we absolutely love it. That inspired us to start helping other pet parents too! We both grew up with dogs and cats, so caring for animals feels natural to us. We’re detail-oriented, always follow your pet’s routine, and make sure to stick to any special instructions — from feeding to walks and meds. We know how important it is to feel at ease when you’re away, and we’re here to give your pets all the love, attention, and snuggles they deserve. Let us know how we can help — we’d love to meet your furry family member! I work as a face painter at children’s parties, so weekends are usually my busiest time. During those days, my partner is available and happy to look after your pet. On weekdays, I have plenty of free time and would love to spend it caring for animals. I grew up with both dogs and cats, so being around pets feels natural and joyful. We’re both caring, responsible, and truly enjoy spending time with animals. Looking forward to meeting your pet! We live in a second-floor apartment with elevator access — convenient and comfortable for drop-off and pick-up. Our bathroom has a handheld shower head, making it easy to wash your pet if needed during their stay. We don’t have any pets or children, and no other people live in the apartment, so your pet will enjoy a calm, quiet environment with no distractions or stress. It’s perfect for animals who prefer peaceful surroundings. Our neighborhood is very quiet and safe, with great spots for relaxed daily walks. If you’re looking for a calm, cozy home where your pet will get one-on-one attention, we’d love to welcome them!

About: My first time taking care of a dog and house sitting was in 2018. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Even though the pandemic has changed how we live our lives, I am definitely looking forward to getting back to Dog walking or sitting. I currently work full-time. I can be available on the weekends. The morning or even the afternoon works well with me. I can also try to change my schedule if needed. I follow any instructions given to me on how to care for a pet. I have and will treat them as if they were mine.

About: Since adopting my own pup in 2022, I’ve fallen in love with caring for dogs of all kinds—from energetic puppies who need playtime galore to sweet seniors who prefer gentle cuddles. I’ve been the go-to sitter for friends and family, mastering the art of patience, routine, and tail-wagging fun. Working from home means your dog gets constant companionship, potty breaks on schedule, and plenty of affection. Your furry friend will be treated like family! 💕 Since I work from home full-time on weekdays, I’m always around to give your pup constant love, playtime, and frequent potty breaks (my own dog goes out 4+ times a day, so yours will get the same care!). On weekends and days off, I love staying active—whether it’s leisurely walks, park trips, or cozy downtime, I adapt to your dog’s energy level. From high-energy pups to laid-back seniors, I make sure every dog feels at home while sticking to their routine. Let me know your pet’s needs, and I’ll keep their tail wagging! My dog-friendly loft is a cozy, secure space wherever pups are welcome on furniture (including the bed!)—because let’s be honest, snuggles are non-negotiable. To keep things clean and safe, I wipe all paws after walks and tidy up any messes immediately. I’m attentive to each dog’s needs, whether it’s puppy-proofing for curious noses or senior-friendly accommodations. Rest assured, your pup will enjoy a happy, hygienic, and hazard-free stay!

About: I have been a dog lover since I was born. I was a Dog mom to Jack, a rescue Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix for 16 years. He recently passed away on 7.24.26. Taking care of furry friends is a privilege for me now. I live a few blocks from Forest Park which is a great place for long walks with furry friends. I started dog walking when I lived in Asheville,NC while I went to,school at UNCA 15 years ago to make extra money. It ended up being the best part of my days. I have continued to,dog walk on a part time basis and enjoy bonding with dogs. They are absolutely precious animals that need daily exercise, attention and love just as Cesar Millan would say. I have learned so much about dogs through reading Cesar Millans books as well as watching his show. I have been working remotely since the pandemic in 2020, so I always have time to take care of furry friends throughout the day or week. I have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment and one of the bedrooms is dedicated to pets with a pet bed, toys and space to roam around and stay busy.

About: I am a full-time educator looking for some part time work. Im introverted so I spend loads of time at home with the fur babies. During these summer months, my availability is wide open so please feel free to ask away! 😎☀️ During the school year: On weekdays I will be out from 7am-5pm most days. Weekends will be dependent on scheduled boarding and any pre-scheduled compromises. Pleask ask for accommodations. I have a very gentle, shy cat. At home, I have a gate that can try to separate them as much as possible. At a client’s home, that will be dependent on the needs of the owner and animal companion.

About: Hi there! My name is Anya and I am a college student in NYC. All my life I have been surrounded by dogs and cats. Feeding and walking animals have been a part of my daily routine since I can remember. In my hometown, I frequently house sat and dealt with old, young and sick pets with care and feel comfortable doing so. Since moving to the city, I miss my dogs terribly, so I know this will be enjoyable work for me! I am an extremely Covid conscious person, triple vaccinated and continue to take precautions.I am available to house sit, do check-in’s and dog walks. My schedule differs each weekday, so I would be happy to discuss and figure out a time that works. Please message me if you have any interest or questions. Take care! I work around my school schedule, which differs every day. I am available weekdays after my classes which end at 3 PM Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 4 PM Mondays and 7PM Thursdays. I am quite flexible so feel free to message me with any questions. I am a very trustworthy and respectful person. I am very attentive to each client's rules within their own home. I know that every animal is unique and will follow care-taking instructions diligently as if they were my own pet.

Emily has been Coco’s regular dog walker for quite some time, and we truly could not have asked for someone better. She is incredibly reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and most importantly, genuinely cares about Coco. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing that when we were at work, Coco was with someone we completely trusted. Emily was always dependable, kept us updated after their walks, and treated Coco like she was her own. Coco absolutely loves her, which says everything! We’re only parting ways because Emily received an amazing full-time opportunity, otherwise we would happily have kept her as Coco’s walker for years to come. Anyone who has the opportunity to have Emily care for their pet will be incredibly lucky. We’re going to miss her so much and can’t recommend her highly enough. ❤️🐾

Booked Charlie for a last minute 1 hour drop-in visit, due to unexpected/urgent appointments that took me out for the day. My pup is a recently adopted rescue with some reactivity and other idiosyncrasies, and I wasn’t comfortable leaving her with an unknown boarder or daycare. I was upfront about Lala’s issues-in-progress and Charlie was gracious, accommodating and communicative. During the hour-long visit, he sent plenty of photos and met my pup where she was at. Visit went smoothly and I was able to focus on my rather stressful day without having to worry too much about her. Thanks again.

Nusta was absolutely incredible. I truly could not have asked for a better person to care for our dog while we were overseas. She went above and beyond in every possible way - taking amazing care of him, vacuuming and helping keep our home clean, bringing in our mail and Farmer’s Dog delivery, and even helping me during an emergency when I lost my debit card. Most importantly, our dog was SO happy. He had the biggest smile on his face when we got home, and it was obvious how comfortable and loved he felt with her. This was an extended trip overseas during such an important time in our lives - we got engaged while we were away - and because of Nusta, I genuinely did not have to worry about a thing back home. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone on this app, without hesitation. We will definitely continue using her because, at this point, our dog has officially welcomed her into the family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Nusta, for taking such incredible care of him and of our home. ❤️

Carolina is AMAZING! I just recently moved into my apartment, and was anxious about finding someone to take care of my dog (Staffie mix) and my cat - both senior pets - during a trip to visit family. I'm so glad I chose Carolina, she was absolutely fantastic - extremely professional, caring, and communicative throughout the visit, and I could tell from the first photo she sent that my pets were in great hands. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Kew Gardens with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
