I started dog sitting about 10 years ago for my neighbors and discovered Rover about 6 years ago. I’ve had experience with all breeds, sizes and age groups, as well as various species such as cats, rats, snakes, turtles and guinea pigs. I have learned to administer medicine orally or injections. I understand puppies and high energy dogs well and I’m more than willing to give your pet the right care they need. I like to take my regulars on longer walks or even trips to the beach or a park near by - but only once I feel confident in my knowledge of their behavior and reactions. I have a Bacherlor's in Biology from Queens College and I'm currently pursuing my Masters in Biology focusing on animal ecology, behavior and conservation. I was a zookeeper for about a year at the Staten Island Zoo where I cared for various species from reptiles to hawks, and learned about diets and proper handling. I’ve been an animal lover all my life and I just want to allow owners to travel and feel that their loved one is in good caring hands <3 Shoot me a message with more questions and regarding my availability ! -Catalina M.

We’ve used Catalina many times to drop in and take care of our 2 kitties. They both love her and she takes very good care of them and follows all their instructions so we always trust they are in good hands when we are away!
Catalina is great with cats and very communicative. It was nice knowing I could count on her while I was away
Catalina did an amazing job watching our cat Violet while we were away for thanksgiving! She made sure she had her daily can of fancy feast, lots of snuggles and lots of playing. She was super flexible with coordinating details and we will definitely have her watch Violet again on our next vacation! Thanks Catalina!

Merlin LOVES staying with Catalina, Arlo, and Luke! He always looks so happy in the update photos, gets plenty of enrichment, and comes back tired from a fun, busy time.

Ein typischer Tag
With 3-4 walks a day there are endless possibilities of where to go! There's Hoover Park just a few blocks away, the fancy homes always make a scenic walk, Forest Park and Willow Lake are also not too far. Since I have a car (and a set of doggie seatbelts) I've even gone to Fort Totten, Flushing Marina, Central Park, Prospect Park and even Vermont with some dogs! There will be LOTS of cuddles (as if you couldn't tell from the photos) and lots of spoilage!
