“Thank you Qilin! Every visit Qilin provides Blaze & Starlette with amazing gracious loving care and kindness. She is a phenomenal pet sitter whom I trust will treat my cats as well as I do. I, Blaze & Starlette cannot ask for a better person and professional. God Bless you Qilin.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals ever since I was about 12 years old. In high school I was a vet tech, but now I am a work from home pet mama that is looking to help out people who need to have their dog walked or in need of a pet sitter. I work from home so my schedule can be very flexible. If there is a time you don’t see available on my calendar please reach out to me and I can accommodate for you :) My cats (or any pet I have) are my entire world! Currently I have 2 senior fur kitties 10 and 13 who enjoy cuddling up with their mama on the couch while watching movies and also love the outdoors! Their favorite thing to do in the spring and summer is to sun bathe in our backyard and take in the views while the wind hits their face (supervised of course). If I’m taking care of your pet I will treat them like my own. I am always happy to meet before your trip to discuss logistics and get to know your fur baby so they feel comfortable with me.

“katherine is one of the most responsive and communicative sitters i've ever had! the 5 star rating is very understandable. followed instructions to a T and left a very detailed report, which was so helpful. your baby will feel like they are taken care of, guaranteed! would love to work with katherine again.”

“Jasmine was such an energetic and patient sitter! I needed to find a sitter last minute for a weekend getaway and Jasmine was prepared to be flexible as well as thorough. Luna 🌑 is a shy kitty and he needs lots of patience and good energy, which Jasmine easily demonstrated early on! I also appreciated how communicative she was and how understanding she came off. Luna and I are so grateful for your love and care! 🩶”

About: Growing up, I had the joy of loving and caring for an 80-pound, goofy, American Pitt Bull Terrier, named Meryn. Throughout my high school years, he was my constant companion, playing catch at the East River Park on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We would jog across the Williamsburg Bridge and run up and down the stairwell in my apartment building to burn off energy (we lived on the 11th floor). He was an incredibly curious boy, who made training fun. He was very motivated by treats and praise. Through repetition and treats he learned all the basic commands. I have petsat many times for family members over the years. Pets included are dogs (large and small breeds) cats, hamsters, and a bearded dragon once. My longest dogsitting experience lasted 3 weeks with my aunt’s pug, Coco Rico, while my aunt was on vacation. During this time, Rico had an ear infection and I had to administer his ear drops. Being a pug, I had to ensure his eyes and face folds were clean. I have catsit for my brother’s diabetic cat, Tuna Fish, on several occasions. I administered insulin injections daily. I learned how to measure the proper dosage and how to safely/comfortably give her the injections. She was diagnosed with diabetes in 2020, so it was not easy learning how to give a cat a shot via a Zoom call with the vet! But learning this and helping my brother with the insulin injections, kept Tuna going for 4 more years after diagnosis. This is by far the most medical care experience I have had with pets. Nowadays, I regularly borrow my Gen Z daughter’s dog, Espresso. He’s a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, and my favorite little guy. My grandpup, if you will. With this past winter being a very cold one in NYC, I ensured to dress Espresso in his sweater, coat, and boots for his walks. I do photo shoots with him while on walks, during play time, and naps. I update her with anecdotes throughout the day, such as mentioning any puppy pals we ran into while out and anything funny or adorable he’s done. She even recently said to me, “You take the most wonderful pictures of him.” That truly warmed my heart because I love capturing him in different places and poses. My pet baby now is an American short hair cat with calico patterned fur, named Basil (aka Ms. Lady Boop Boop). She’s a 16 year old, still feisty gal, who has a favorite fishy toy that dangles from a wand. Being a senior, she has developed arthritis in her old age and now makes use of cushioned stairs to get on the couch/bed. She also needs an eye ointment, the application of which has become part of our daily routine. In the past, when she has been ill, I've also given her medicine in liquid form via syringe as well as getting her to swallow a pill. Additionally, I took care of a feral cat that would visit me now and then. My family has a home in Albany, in upstate New York, and I'm happy to board dogs up there for weekends or extended stays should a pet parent allow it. The feral cat that would visit me was in Albany and would appear randomly in our backyard. I fed and watered him whenever he came by. He was deaf and the sweetest guy, who loved rubs and to hang out on our deck. He had an extra digit on each front paw, so I dubbed him Thumbs. One day, when he visited, I noticed immediately that he had fleas on him. I gave him a bath a kiddy tub in my backyard with flea shampoo. I bought the flea comb and collar and got rid of those pesky bugs. I know he was grateful because he'd been scratching so hard, his fur was missing in some places. I am a visual artist and writer, working from home, so my weekdays are flexible. I set my own schedule working on my projects so I can easily accommodate different pet types and time slots for care. I occasionally travel to my family home in Albany, upstate New York, but I always plan that ahead of time and I am happy to board pets up there if the pet parent is open to that option. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NYC. I am located on the 3rd (and top) floor of a walk-up building. I have a senior, female cat, who is very relaxed and sleeps most of the day. There is no outdoor space here, but there are local parks nearby, including a dog run. I also have a house upstate, in Albany, NY. There is plenty of space for running around here, including a backyard. We are currently having a fence put in and I will update this when it is installed.

“Alex has been great to work with. Beyond professional, Alex has made me comfortable with leaving my temperamental dog’s pee breaks in his hands!! He follows directions to a T & communicates well. Definitely book with Alex if you’re looking for someone who cares”

“First time having a ca sitter who wasn’t a personal friend and they put me at ease with the whole thing. Very kind but still professional and my cat instantly got along with them which was great!”

“Katherine is an ideal pet sitter - she’s reliable, conscious, capable and loves pets. My super old cat needs a daily pill and some company and Katherine drops in and treats her like the most important animal there is. She also monitors for hairballs, checks the litter box and the plants. She extremely thoughtful and considerate and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Book her today!”
About: I’ve had pets around since I was born. As soon as I was old enough, I was always in charge of simple responsibilities like feeding, walking, and playing with my dogs. The years that I’ve spent growing up around animals has helped me anticipate how they will behave in response to certain interactions. Those experiences have allowed me to adapt to take the best and most comfortable care of every animal I encounter. I’m currently employed “on call” at a local establishment, so my schedule has many gaps. Over my summer break from college, I have lots of free time. I really enjoy walking my neighborhood and getting my steps in during my free days. Being a dog owner myself, I know how lonely and uncomfortable pets can be cooped up in the house all day during the hot summer months. I’d be more than happy to bring your pets out for a walk with me and give them love for when you arrive home. I will always best accommodate your pet while also respecting the boundaries and instructions given by you. If you have a yard or nearby park, I am willing to walk or play with your pet there as well.
“Thank you, Kate! Kate’s communication is amazing, her care with Xtina (my tabby) was amazing, and I really appreciate her notes and pictures during her check ins. Thank you for making my weekend away so easy. Looking forward to having you again!”

“Ryozo did a great job watching our cat while we were out of town for a week. He made time to come by for a meet and greet beforehand, and kept us updated with pictures while we were away. We came home to a happy cat!”

“Mia & Maria were very sweet and loving. My dog has separation anxiety but he seemed to get comfortable with them very quickly. My pup also loved the backyard. Mia & Maria were experienced with caring for older dogs as well. I was extremely satisfied and will be booking again.”

Middle Village dog parents share their Rover experiences
I had a great experience with the nail trim service. She was incredibly responsible, professional, and patient throughout the entire visit. She handled everything with care and made sure my dog was comfortable the whole time. I really appreciated her attention to detail and reliability. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled pet caregiver!
I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She took such wonderful care of my dogs and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear she treated them like their own, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Communication was great throughout, and I really appreciated the detailed updates. I came home to two very happy pups, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring!

From the very first interaction, Leah stood out as someone I could genuinely trust with Ollie. During our meet and greet, she asked all the right questions — about his routines, temperament, any behavioral quirks, and anything else she should know. She also made it clear she would never introduce him to other dogs without first ensuring it was safe, which I really appreciated. Leah was wonderfully patient with him during the meet and greet, understanding that letting him come to her on his own terms was the best way to build trust. Since Ollie is still young and learning to be comfortable around new people, her calm and unhurried approach made a real difference. During the sitting itself, she kept me well informed with updates, photos, and thoughtful notes about how he was doing. And when a family emergency came up and my plans had to shift on the fly, she adapted without hesitation — her flexibility and understanding during a stressful time meant so much. I would absolutely recommend Leah to anyone looking for a sitter who is gentle, attentive, and truly has your dog’s best interests at heart.

Diana is great and I would recommend her to all my pet parent friends! She's been super accommodating to my last minute changes / requests. She has also been great with my Odie - even as a dog who needs extra attention on walks and at home. Diana also helped me out with taking care of my foster kittens when I was away which was super helpful! And being available on the weekend was a major plus. Couldn't recommend Diana enough!

Mark is truly the best around. He is incredibly loving, attentive, and thoughtful with our fur babies, and he’s also an excellent communicator. We always feel so lucky knowing they are in his care. It’s a delight to bump into him around the neighborhood, too! 😆💕

Raul did an excellent job pet sitting for Gunner. He made sure to follow instructions my husband and I gave him, which gave us a peace of mind. When something wasn’t completely clear, he checked in with me, I really appreciated that level of communication and care. It’s safe to say he’s doing a great job getting to know both us and Gunner, and we feel comfortable trusting him with our dog. Highly recommend!

Marcela did a wonderful job walking Beau and following instructions as he's still a puppy and training to walk. There is another puppy she walks in the apartment, but although we offered that she could walk Beau together with that puppy, she stated that she preferred to give each dog individual attention, which we were surpised by and appreciated. She took a lot of photos and videos, and we'd gladly ask Marcela to walk Beau again!

Debbie has been wonderful with our 3-month-old puppy and 2-year-old dachshunds! I was a little nervous with our pup being so young but Debbie put me at ease. She’s warm, reliable, professional, and follows directions so well. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing the dogs are getting love, attention, and great care while we’re at work. We’re so happy we found her 😊 Thanks Debbie! 🩷

Austin was a huge help during my first week with a new puppy. He came over twice in a short time in one day for food/potty/play breaks for my 10 week old puppy. He came by in the morning for a meet and greet too. He was on time for them, sent lots of photos/videos, and left a lot of information afterwards. Very professional. I will be hiring him again!
