“The experience with Ruth U was dynamic for our fur baby Buddy. I truly appreciated getting videos of his ventures in a warm and loving environment. We will utilize their wonderful services in the future. We gave our tip in person yesterday at drop-off.”

“Diana is a true blessing! My dog Loretta has very very bad anxiety and separation anxiety. But Loretta is my baby! I love her and treat her like one of my children. Diana was WONDERFUL with her. She was with her 5 days and kept me up to date with everything. Pictures and everything. She gave me the biggest peace of mind. She made my vacation so enjoyable knowing my girlie was in the BEST hands! I would recommend Diana to anyone who wants their dog to be well taken care of and loved. Thank you Diana for loving my Loretta and treating her the way we do.”

“Lambeau absolutely loves Nataly and her sweet dog, Dollar. We see them out and about in the neighborhood walking around and Lambeau always insists we go say hello and even though Dollar is not the puppy that Lambeau is, Dollar is very patient and sweet to her. And even though Lambeau doesn't stay with them very often, whenever we go near their place Lambeau pulls in that direction. She always comes back healthy and happy and we get pics and great communication throughout the day. Highly recommended!”

“Alexandra was available at short notice and took care of Finn as if he were her own! She also was accommodating with pick up and drop off times. Would hands down book again!”

“Krystal took wonderful care of our dog, Joules, while we were away for two weeks. We were initially nervous about leaving our older dog for that long, but Krystal made the experience completely stress-free. She kept us updated regularly, gave Joules plenty of attention and long walks, and clearly cared about his well-being. We came home to a happy dog and couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend Krystal!”

“Michelle did a wonderful job taking care of our doggo while we were away with plenty of pictures and texts. Our dog loved her stay with Michelle. We would definitely book her again for further accommodations!”

About: I’ve been a dog mom for more than 15 years of my life. I have a small senior dog who gets along with everyone. We love having other dogs hang out with us. I’m very active and enjoy taking dogs for all kind of fun walks. I currently work from home 3 days a week and spend lots of weekends at home taking care of my senior dog. I am the go to person with all my friends and family when it comes to pet care. My senior dog spends much of his time in a giant play pen sleeping in our apartment. We still make it out for 3 walks a day. My apartment is very pet friendly.
“Ashley was so amazing - she went above and beyond to make sure my dogs were cared for (especially when my little pup was having stomach issues unexpectedly). Nothing phased her and she was super communicative along the way. Can’t recommend her enough. Trust her 100%!”

“I have to say, this is my first experience with Rover. I was leary at first leaving my Cat with anyone, but Robin made me feel so comfortable. Robin answers quickly and provides pics and updates all along. When I contacted Robin, she came over for a meet and greet and Callie was paying no mind to her. It was nice to see in the pic that Callie allowed her to get close. Callie is very shy and doesn't like to come out of hiding. Seeing pics of Callie checking out the premises gave me such a sigh of relief. I definitely recommend Robin for your fur babies.”

Mehnaz did a wonderful job boarding our 3 cats! She was very communicative & sent tons of great photos + videos. And at a last minute request, she was even willing to keep them for an extra night! It's hard to imagine a better person to take care of our cats, and we would gladly leave our trio with her again. She even brought them each a Churu when she brought them back! 🥹

Jun our cat sitter was very nice. He took care of Dior and the cat gets comfortable very quickly. His place have so much cat access area that cats can sleep and move around. He gives updates everyday with messages, pictures and videos. I highly recommend Jun. He is very good cat sitter. Dior stayed for 18 days.

Jessica was wonderful with Chai! She kept us updated every day with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the updates that Chai was comfortable, happy, and having such a great time with Jessica and Luna. We really appreciated how well she cared for him and treated him like part of the family. We would absolutely trust Jessica with Chai again and highly recommend her! ❤️🐾

Jacind was great with Milo! I needed someone to keep him overnight while I was busy with my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen, and she made everything so easy for me. She was very communicative, sent me pictures and updates throughout the night, and Milo seemed to warm up to her really quickly. I also really appreciated that she was able to pick Milo up from the venue and drop him back off the next morning. With everything I had going on that weekend, that was a huge help. I felt comfortable knowing Milo was in good hands, and I would definitely book with Jacind again!

Laura was very good with my boy, it was our first time being away from him for a few days and we were very nervous but Laura assured me that my boy was in good hands and indeed he was. I even ask to extend my baby stay for one more day and she was willing to accommodate as well. Will definitely book in the future!

Dominique was awesome with my pup. We did a meet and great with my dog before hand which was very considerate and reassuring. My pup was well taken care of while boarding. She was punctual with time, sent many photos and messaged promptly with all updates. I would most definitely recommend Dominique and comfortably have my pup board again in the future.

Jahim was wonderful with my dog and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! He was caring, responsible, and very attentive. What I especially appreciated was how accommodating and flexible he was when I had a last-minute change in my schedule. He was very understanding and worked with me to make sure everything went smoothly. He kept me updated by sending me photos and how she was doing. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I highly recommend Jahim to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and flexible dog sitter. I would definitely book with him again! Thank you, Jahim!

Vanessa was an amazing dog sitter! She was incredibly accommodating when we needed to extend our dog’s stay and made the whole process so easy. She was caring, flexible, and treated our dog like family. We really appreciated her kindness and excellent care. We highly recommend Vanessa! 🐾❤️

Mahfuza was great, compassionate, kind & loving towards my baby boy Mimic 🐈⬛️ she also followed the instructions that was given to her. Mahfuza also has a orange baby boy herself & Mimic & him got along just fine. She also sent me pictures & videos daily of Mimic which I can see he was in great hands. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
