“Awesome dog sitter! Sent me pictures and gave me updates everyday. I’m not sure my dog even wanted to come home after staying with them. Will definitely use them again.”

“Excellent sitter—- was super friendly & accommodating. Sent cute vids and pics of my pup. Had excellent communication and was flexible while I drove in and out of PA. Thank you so much!”

About: I own 2 dogs and they are all different ages,1 is the age of 5 years of age and my little lady of 9. I have an extreme amount of patience and can handle any sort of dog. I can juggle whatever task that is needed to keep the dogs satisfied. Dogs satisfaction is what means the most to me, seeing a dog happy is what lets me know that I did a good job. By doing so then I know that the owner is satisfied and that gains the trust that is needed between me and the dog as of course their owner/parent. You will not be disappointed with my work and my dog sitting and walking ever. Working in a veterinary hospital has made me even more available and able to provide even more care and insight on how to keep them comfortable and happy. I see My dogs every morning i feed Them i take Them out to have some exercise and i also let them have their free time around the house I follow the instructions they give me to the T. Whatever that the owner instructs completely i do i want The owner and the pet to feel completely comfortable with me in their home.

“This was our first time leaving our pup for the weekend and we are so grateful to have found Leandra. She is super sweet and the open line of communication really helped put us at ease. Our pup is very energetic, but she was able to keep him calm from the second we handed over his leash. Our trip away was smooth because we knew our pup was being taken care of. We 110% recommend to anyone and we will definitely be returning clients for our next trip away!”

“Denis and his wife took such good care of my cat. It was her first time staying at someone else's home and my cat (and I) was very nervous, but they sent frequent updates and pictures and made sure she was as happy as could be.”

“Lynn was amazing. My dog can be a handful so I’m always concerned leaving him with others but Lynn handled him like a pro. Tired him out with loads of exercise and undoubtedly showered him with lots of love. I can’t express enough appreciation for the level of care she gave my little buddy.”

“My pug Charlie had another wonderful time with Abbie and Peachy. Charlie feels really safe with Abbie even though she is a little anxious and Peachy is a great friend that helps Charlie to stay active and socialized especially in this cold weather. Outstanding hosts!”

“Michael was great with Tazz and kept me updated with him for the 5 days I was traveling. Tazz is a senior dog which has it own quirks and Michael was great handling all of them. I will be booking him again to watch my pup. Thanks Michael you rock!”

“First time using Rover and meeting Robin. She was very helpful in trying to keep my cat comfortable and well fed at all times. My cat is shy, so he spent a lot of time hiding, but she did keep me updated whenever he came out of hiding and went in view of cameras she has installed to monitor all the pet’s activity. I appreciate her willingness & patience as well as working with me to keep me updated. I would definitely go back to her if I ever needed a sitter again.”

“I am so thankful Charlie was available for a last minute booking/ boarding for our dog, Bibi. After communicating our needs, we knew Charlie was a great fit. Our dog felt right at home, and Charlie communicated frequently throughout her time there, including sending picture and video updates unprompted. We would love the opportunity to re-book with Charlie in the future.”

“This was my third booking with Margarita and Cristian. They were kind, accommodating, communicative and a joy to transact with. I forgot to bring food to my pet but they immediately got him kibbles. So helpful!”

“Maria was awesome. Very helpful and accommodating, very easy going and understanding. My dog was happy and well taken care of. She was also always attentive and answers you very quick. Would recommend Maria to everyone. Thank you.”

“Awesome with dogs, our dog was supper happy! I would recommend Dane to anyone needing a safe happy environment for your pet! Thank you for taking Fideo in and working with us! You made our trip!”

“Jessica went above and beyond to care for our puppy when we couldn't keep him with us. Our pup loved being with her, and Jessica was professional, kind, and readily available whenever we had questions. I highly recommend Jessica!”

“Thank you Cristian for taking such great care of our senior baby. The pics you shared whilst we were away showed that she was safe and happy. And put our mind at ease. We could tell that her care was stellar and when we picked her up she looked and smelled so pretty in her cute bandana and shiny coat. Thank you for following our instructions regarding her care she tends to have anxiety lately and the fact that there were no incidents proves her comfort with you was easy. Definitely the right choice for her care.”

“I needed to find a last minute sitter as my usual one is unavailable. She is local to me which is great. We arranged for a meet and greet with our dogs and all went well (her dogs are so sweet!). She is very accommodating to my dog's needs and after picking her up the next day, she was so exhausted from a great time with Lauren and her family (humans and pets). We will definitely be booking with Lauren again!”

Kevin and Chie were EXCELLENT! They cared for and treated my sweet Teddy sooooo amazing. I was updated throughout the days with lots of pictures and videos. Teddy was smiling the whole stay! Chie kept Teddy with her at all times. I will be rebooking FOR SURE next time. They are great and caring + very responsible! Thank you so much again!

Mahfuza was very attentive to my cat, Juno, and communicative to me throughout Juno’s stay. The extra room had plenty of toys, a cat tree, beds, and its own window AC unit. I was sent many videos during my trip of Juno purring and having a good time. Would definitely recommend Mahfuza as a cat sitter!

Judith is one of the most reliable sitter i have met. My baby Ace was safe, comfortable, and well cared for while i was away. I really enjoyed the consistency and reliability in communication along with the daily updates/videos. I am in awe! I really can’t say enough about how great Judith and her family was to Ace. This was my first time leaving Ace alone and i was hesitant, but her warmth and love of animals was apparent from our first meet. Phenomenal job taking care of Ace Judith 🤎🐩🙏🏾 I will absolutel be booking again!!!

Megan and Brian are the absolute best! They took amazing care of our beagle Benji for five days and treated him like one of their own. We received regular updates and pictures. We could tell he was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We’re so grateful for the excellent care and would absolutely trust them again in the future. Highly recommend!

Jancid was amazing!! I strongly recommend her services. She is very genuine, and very caring when it came to welcoming my pup in her home. She went above and beyond, and took great care of my dog. She is communicative, and sent pictures and videos of him throughout the boarding experience.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
