“Amanda was amazing with Flint! We had a pretty last minute situation and she came through for us with no hesitation. She was super attentive, communicative, and really took initiative during her drop-ins. She noticed things, checked in with us when needed, and went above and beyond without us having to ask. I felt comfortable knowing Flint was in good hands while we were away. Definitely someone I’ll be booking again in the future. Highly recommend Amanda!”

About: I've spent extensive time walking and watching both dogs and cats since I was 10. I see myself as very observant of what exactly the animal feels comfortable doing - I won't be dragging an unwilling dog down a street he clearly does not want to go down. I'm also very comfortable with larger dogs and bully breeds: before joining Rover I walked Huskies, Doberman, Pitbulls, Rottweilers, German Shepards, and some very sweet Boxers. Though I am a full time law student, I love to decompress by taking long walks, preferably with a dog. Because of my current student status, I'm most available after 6 pm on weekdays as well as all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I don't offer in-home sitting, but safety on the walk is something I take seriously. If we pass another dog, I always move to the side, cross the street, or pick up smaller dogs if needed — whatever keeps your pup comfortable and out of a situation they didn't ask for.
“Our cat, Lila, is always in great care with Laura! We always feel comforted knowing she’s in Laura’s hands. Always prompt, communicative, and spends time and attention.”

“Anscia was available for a last minute drop in that was needed and was very helpful in taking care of Gio while I was caught up at an appointment. Thank you, Anscia!!”

About: I've owned various pets and took care of other as well. I have walked dogs both big and small as well as taking care of cats in others homes. I'm currently a college student so my schedule can vary semester by semester but I always willing to make room for pets if need be. Used to own a dog that I walked everywhere every morning and now owned two cats whom I take care of everyday. I also walked other people pets around my neighborhood.
About: I provide dependable, loving care for dogs of all sizes and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or overnight care, I make sure your dog stays safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine, and I make time each day for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention they deserve. My flexible schedule allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week, including weekends when needed. I follow each pet’s normal routine by providing fresh food and water, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention while making sure they feel safe and comfortable. In both my home and my client’s home, I keep the environment clean, follow any special care instructions, and treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect.
“Melanie was very communicative and personable. She did a good job tending to our cat and was very inquisitive during our meet and greet. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

“I appreciate Rosandy and Edward with all of my heart. When I see their photos of Blaze and Starlette, I see happy, content pets. I truly have no worries when I am away from my sweet fur-babies. Thank you Rosandy and Edward.”

About: Since adopting my own pup in 2022, I’ve fallen in love with caring for dogs of all kinds—from energetic puppies who need playtime galore to sweet seniors who prefer gentle cuddles. I’ve been the go-to sitter for friends and family, mastering the art of patience, routine, and tail-wagging fun. Working from home means your dog gets constant companionship, potty breaks on schedule, and plenty of affection. Your furry friend will be treated like family! 💕 Since I work from home full-time on weekdays, I’m always around to give your pup constant love, playtime, and frequent potty breaks (my own dog goes out 4+ times a day, so yours will get the same care!). On weekends and days off, I love staying active—whether it’s leisurely walks, park trips, or cozy downtime, I adapt to your dog’s energy level. From high-energy pups to laid-back seniors, I make sure every dog feels at home while sticking to their routine. Let me know your pet’s needs, and I’ll keep their tail wagging! My dog-friendly loft is a cozy, secure space wherever pups are welcome on furniture (including the bed!)—because let’s be honest, snuggles are non-negotiable. To keep things clean and safe, I wipe all paws after walks and tidy up any messes immediately. I’m attentive to each dog’s needs, whether it’s puppy-proofing for curious noses or senior-friendly accommodations. Rest assured, your pup will enjoy a happy, hygienic, and hazard-free stay!

“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Regina K. as a pet sitter for my cat, Layla, while I was on vacation, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Regina followed all of the instructions I left for her perfectly and took great care of Layla during each home visit. She was very nice and pleasant to communicate with, which made me feel at ease while I was away. Regina made sure Layla had her treats, wet food, and fresh water, cleaned the litter box thoroughly, and even spent time playing with her—something that meant a lot to me. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Layla’s well-being and comfort. I really appreciate Regina’s help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive pet sitter. Thank you, Regina!”
“Jeffrey took care of our big 15lb cat, Amor. Jefferey was fantastic and even managed to get Amor to eat treats out of his hand! I can't even get Amor to do that. He was wonderful and we would definitely have Jeffery come back when we go out of town again to take care of our Kitty. Thank you Jefferey!”
“I had a wonderful experience with Alexis. Alexis is incredibly helpful, and my dog absolutely loved her. I felt at ease knowing my furry friend was in such caring hands. I highly recommend their services to fellow pet owners!”
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was a little kid. Teaching a trick to an older dog essentially uses the exact steps you would use to train a puppy. You may need more time on each step before moving to the next. Your older dog is just as eager to learn as a puppy, but he may need more patience. Adult dogs are often easier to train than young puppies because they have more self-control. It's also important to keep training your dog as it matures. It will keep your dog's mind sharp and offer the mental stimulation and structure it needs. Your pet will be great in the end of a day :) I usually wake up between 7:00-9:00 am, and unless any pet is in my house, I’ll wake up at 5:00-6:00 am. Give pets expects some scratches and kisses. At around 07:00 when a pet stares at me and reminds me it is time to go for a walk. So we head out for about a half hour for a nice walk. Then I go back to where a pet’s home is, give some love and affection and go back to my home to do my things There is a place for pets on the playground; I can care for them. It is also a few neighbors who have pets, so I can allow your client’s dog to socialize with other friendly dogs.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Richmond Hill
Carolina is AMAZING! I just recently moved into my apartment, and was anxious about finding someone to take care of my dog (Staffie mix) and my cat - both senior pets - during a trip to visit family. I'm so glad I chose Carolina, she was absolutely fantastic - extremely professional, caring, and communicative throughout the visit, and I could tell from the first photo she sent that my pets were in great hands. The neighbors in my new building also had great things to say about her once I returned. I'm so grateful for her expert care, and definitely plan to book her again. Highly recommended!

Betty made my first time using Rover such an amazing experience! I was a pet sitter for 3 years, and I would absolutely trust Betty with caring for your fur babies! She was very communicative and made me feel so much better about leaving my senior cat while I went away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
