About: I moved to New York for graduate school, which means I have moved away from my dog. I would love the opportunity to provide other dogs care as they will also make my heart warm! I am in class sporadically throughout the week so I have a lot of time to walk and take care of dogs. There are some days where I do not have class at all and would love to get out of the apartment and get some fresh air! I provide my dog with lots of love and attention and am very patient. About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs & cats. Friends and family have relied on me for caretaking while they are away. I also formerly fostered cats, taking care of 5 different cats over the course of a year. I am a cook at a wine bar in Chinatown, I usually work 9am-5pm Thursday-Monday. About: I’ve been a dog mom for more than 15 years of my life. I have a small senior dog who gets along with everyone. We love having other dogs hang out with us. I’m very active and enjoy taking dogs for all kind of fun walks. I currently work from home 3 days a week and spend lots of weekends at home taking care of my senior dog. About: The first dog that I fell in love with was Charlie, my best friend’s beagle. I cared for him for weeks at a time, and that’s when I realized how much I enjoy looking after dogs. Since then, I’ve had the chance to care for several pets, both on and off the books, and each experience has made me love it even more. I also have a ground-floor apartment with a fenced backyard where dogs can roam, zoom, or take care of their business when a full walk isn’t ideal. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow whatever routine works best for their dog. I can stay overnight or visit in the mornings and evenings for walks, feeding, playtime, and light grooming. I know it can be nerve-wracking and anxiety-inducing just imagining your furry family member in the hands of someone else, so I always make sure communication and trust with you and your lovely pet are the number 1 priority. So please, allow me to allow you to take a (somewhat) easier sigh of relief that even if you can’t be there with your pet, they are in the best possible care! I work full-time until 5PM every weekday, so I am available for walks and care after 5PM M-F and boarding on the weekend. I have all the necessary materials and supplies for both cats and dogs (bowls, harnesses, leashes, adjustable crates and carriers, grooming equipment, etc), all the windows have screens, and I live near several parks and green areas. I have two adorable lovely kitties who are friendly but I also have a separate unused bedroom that can be used as needed.

“Dominique is wonderful, kind, communicative, super responsive, and a joy to work with. We have a nervous, 95 lb pup and I’m a nervous dog mom - Dominique took so much time to make us both feel comfortable for Saint’s first boarding - sending tons of pictures and always staying in touch. Dominique also walks Saint once a week (so we could make sure our nervous pup was prepared for this boarding) and Saint absolutely adores them. Saint almost never gets excited to see “strangers”, but when Dominique comes to pick her up, Saint thinks she’s hanging out with her best friends. There’s days Saint knows Dominique will be coming for her walk, and she’ll sit by the door waiting, given how Saint is super shy, seeing her look forward to a friend coming over like this makes me so happy. Dominique knows dogs, with a background in dog training, they knew exactly how to make Saint feel comfortable in no time at all (Dominique was “friends” with Saint within five minutes of her first walk!!). We would recommend Dominique without hesitation to anyone in the area.”
“The most important thing that I look for when choosing someone to watch my dog is whether or not I think they will truly and sincerely love my dog and treat him like their own. It was clear from our first exchange that Joanne met that most important criteria. Her and her family not only took Joey in as one of their own, but it was immediately clear to me that they really loved him, and treated him like he was their own dog that they’ve loved for years. I hate leaving my dog, and I’ve never felt more comfortable leaving him with someone than I did with Joanne. Regular updates, very clear communication, asked all the right questions to ensure understanding of Joeys needs. About: I really think I have quite a bit of experience with pets. As I was growing up, I had several at the same time and I took care of them all at once and with a lot of love. I had a rabbit, two cats, and a dog. I'm currently available every day, and regarding the schedule, I think we can discuss that between ourselves and decide.
