About: Several years ago, when a friend was going through a rough time in her life, I housed and took care of her dog for half a year, and that's when I realized I could do this! Since then, I've regularly taken care of other friends' pets on and off, and I would love to do the same for your pet too! This is my full-time job, which means you and your fur baby will get my full-time attention! Except for Thursdays which I reserve for community volunteer work, my schedule is very flexible, and I will do my best to accommodate you and your pet's needs. I live in a 1-bedroom apartment with no roommates! I also have 2 AC units to keep the space nice and cool during the hot summer months. Every few months, I also house my friend's pet, an American Eskimo dog who is very friendly and absolutely loves meeting other dogs! I live near several dog parks that are within 15 minutes' walk, so your fur babies will always have a chance to meet new friends and neighbors. I love taking care of dogs, whether at my home or at yours!

About: I grew up caring for multiple dogs, and was a professional walker and sitter for years in NYC. I'm here for the easiest little guys and gals and also have the wherewithal and experience to care for dogs that require some more sensitive or attentive care (puppies, senior dogs, babies with health issues requiring medication, etc.). I'm currently working part time and have flexibility to walk/sit your pup! I'm available most weekends and holidays to sit and walk. I follow all house rules and guidelines for sitting and walking your pup. Always happy to chat and visit ahead any sit or walk so we can all get to know each other and make sure we're comfortable!
About: I have always been surrounded by dogs and cats and I thoroughly enjoy being in their company. I have an immense love for animals and find great joy in spending time with them. I am currently taking online classes, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I am able to dedicate plenty of time to spending quality time with your best friends. I have veterinary experience from working at an animal hospital, which has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs. I am detailed oriented and thrive on following directions precisely to ensure the best possible care for your furry friends.
“Kate was amazing! So communicative and warm. I was gone over July 4th and she even offered to spend extra time with my little guys during the scary fireworks. I could tell when I got back that my cats, one of whom has CH and can be a little prickly with new folks, felt so safe with her. High recommend!”
“Katherine is amazing!!!! So so communicative, sweet and caring towards my kitty. She genuinely did such a great job and I will definitely be contacting her again if I go out of town! Please consider Katherine!”

“Eleni was WONDERFUL with my 2 cats!!! I will definitely be hiring her again!!! Mochi has diabetes and requires an insulin injection every 12 hours in addition to another medication twice a week and Eleni was happy to learn and able to give Mochi his meds which can be a bit daunting and sometimes difficult depending on his mood. but Eleni was attentive and really took the time to learn and care for him properly! my other cat Kumo is a scaredy baby and rarely shows his face around people but Eleni was patient and really put effort into getting him comfortable with her. Eleni updated me with great details about how they’re doing and food. the weather was changing every day from being very cold and then very hot and Eleni proactively adjusted the thermostat accordingly when needed! she would turn on cat TV every couple days AND put treats in their treat games daily so they would stay occupied during the day. Mochi had an accident and Eleni didn't hesitate to clean it up and take out the trash. she really took care of everything!”

About: I’ve been training , an owner, and taking care of dogs and cats since I was little. My family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, and pet sit their animals multiple times. I am available to care for your fur children M-F from 11-10! Anytime during those hours I am able to play with, walk , or feed your pets. “Xiaoying is the best! She took great care of my two cats when I was away for a week, was extremely thorough with her report cards (tons of photos for the anxious pet parents missing theirs babies) and was always responsive to messages. She even brought new toys for my cats to play with, and they absolutely loved spending time with her! Would highly recommend Xiaoying and would book her again in a heartbeat!”

“Carolyn was like a Swiss clock — Extremely reliable and on-time. Carolyn did everything we asked and more. My 18-yr old cats were comfortable and cared-for. She allowed us to relax when we needed a much-needed break. Thank you!”
“Thank you for looking after my Grilled Cheese! I really appreciated your detailed commentary after each check in, and plenty of pictures of my shy lil dude 🐈. I’ll definitely utilize your cat sitting services again!”

“I highly recommend Andrea for cats, especially special-needs cats!!! Andrea is absolutely wonderful with our two shy senior cats. One of our cats is diabetic and requires insulin injections, but is unfortunately also extremely skittish and will run and hide from other sitters. Andrea has been a godsend in taking care of him! She is very patient and approached him slowly, and managed to earn his trust enough to give him his insulin without him running away. She communicates well, follows instructions thoroughly, asks questions where appropriate, and clearly cares a lot about our pets. Now we can travel in peace knowing both cats are healthy and relaxed. Thank you Andrea!!!!!”

“Schirn cat-sat for us on late notice over the holiday and she was fantastic! She was prompt with her timing and sent great photos when dropping in, we will definitely be reaching out for future cat-sitting needs!”

“Fanny took a fantastic care of our two cats! She was such a pleasure to work with, was meticulous in her check-ins, and sent lots of great photos. We felt so much more at ease knowing that she is taking care of our furbabies while we’re away. Would definitely recommend Fanny’s services!”
“Haley was awesome and responsive! I gave her a lot of instructions and she didn’t bat an eye. And she was also available super last minute which I appreciate! Will definitely reach out again if the time comes”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Haberman
Melissa was a great sitter! My cats loved her (even the shy one didn’t hide as much) and she made sure they had plenty of food and water and pets and even took the used litter outside. When my flight was canceled coming home, she was able to come an extra day last minute which was SO helpful and much appreciated. Will definitely be reaching out for future visits.

Kate is phenomenal. She really understood my cats needs, especially with the cat that has some medical issues. She took so many pictures to let me know how they were doing and you can truly tell she loves all animals she comes across, which is vital to pet care. Cannot wait to rebook her as my cats trusted her as well!!

Sophia is absolutely amazing! She always goes above and beyond, is so sweet with my two kitties, and is incredibly reliable. She always arrives on time, communicates quickly, and provides detailed, thoughtful updates that give me so much peace of mind. This past weekend, I was worried one of my cats might be sick after checking my pet cameras. Sophia paid extra close attention to him during her visits, kept me updated on his behavior, and went above and beyond to help me determine whether he was okay. I truly appreciated the extra care and reassurance. Thank you Sophia for taking such wonderful care of Kiki and Collins! I highly recommend her as she's an extremely caring, dependable, and attentive! ❤️🐾
Eliza put me at such ease while I went away for a few days. She was prompt and incredibly responsible during all visits. I came home to happy and healthy cats. It was a truly great and reassuring experience and I will certainly be leaving my cats in her care again in the future. Thank you so much, Eliza!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
