I have walked and cared for All breeds from Great Danes to Chihuahuas as well as cats and birds. Ive owned 3 dogs Rockz is a very sweet dog loves to cuddle and play . I work from home so pups will be supervised the whole time. About: I usually work with shy, aggressive or fearful dogs or cats. It can take weeks, months or years to befriend them but when you do it's extremely rewarding, especially when an animal someone deems "dangerous" comes out to be the biggest sweetheart. I have tons of patience and I believe every species of animal deserves love and respect. As humans, it's our duty to be the voices and guardians of the animals in our care. They look to us for comfort, guidance, love and peace. That's why I do anything in my power to donate or volunteer at animal shelters because every animal should know that there's humans out there that actually care about their well being. Working with animals is a great career for me. Update; 8/2020 I’ve been volunteering and working with pets as a professional pet care provider for five years now. Through my journey I’ve learned pet CPR and gained dog training knowledge through Poochpals llc as well as worked as a dog handler at walterspetstyles. I’m currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer and furthering my knowledge on Pet care. At Poochpals we believe in being a friend for life so I’m definitely bringing our motto into the field and looking to become a furever friend for your pets. If you’re ever in need of an actual PROFESSIONAL pet care provider, look no further! I also have basic training knowledge so don’t be surprised if your pup or cat comes back knowing a few new tricks 😂 I have open availability Monday-Sunday. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! My dog, Odin, loves to make new friends of all species. Updates:4/7/2026 Hello friends! I would not be at 29 Hanford anymore due to instability, so I’m moving my business down to NYC before heading to PA. We have multiple fences in house and around the property. Pups are also supervised 24/7 and we have a designated dog room just for them. Back porch is also secured with gates. Dogs aren’t allowed on the lawn without human supervision and a 20ft leash. Lawn is fenced. We have strict safety procedures when it comes down to pets and children.

About: Hi, my name is Erik! I have worked for local businesses (As well as Wag so I have a bit of app experience too) walking, training, boarding, and sitting dogs for a little over 7 years now. I love animals, being outside, and meeting new pups. Located in Bushwick, I'm a quick bike ride away from Williamsburg, Bed Stuy, Ridgewood, etc. I have no problem taking the train to further neighborhoods as well. I've lived in New York for a 11 years now so navigating around the city is no issue. I was raised in a animal loving house and couldn't be happier working with the them. I'm a jack of all trades and a big worker. I love the freedom of setting my own schedule and being outside getting my steps in. I get down to their level and let them inspect/smell me. I tend to pass the sniff test. I don't mind taking the time to wait until the pup is comfortable before going on our walk.

I've had the pleasure of having Rachelle as my sitter for a while now. This is my first puppy and unfortunately, it seems I picked the sickly puppy from the breeder as he's had many issues. However, that never stopped Rachelle. She has been a joy who has been my support when my puppy needs additional care and patience. If you want someone who proactive, communicative, and kind then look no further.

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter with several years of experience both pet sitting and working in an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant. Through my work, I’ve gained hands-on experience handling dogs and cats of all temperaments, supporting their care, and becoming familiar with recognizing when something may be off. At the same time, my approach to pet sitting is always centered around making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their home environment. I’m also a pet owner to my 11-year-old girl, so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I treat every pet like my own—with patience, care, and lots of love. Pet care is a natural part of my weekly routine. I currently work as a veterinary assistant, so I am already around animals regularly and used to maintaining consistent care schedules. Outside of work, I plan my availability around pet sitting bookings to ensure I can give each pet the time and attention they need. This includes morning and evening visits, walks, feeding schedules, and check-ins depending on the pet’s routine. Because I’m also a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already built into my daily life. I’m used to early mornings, structured feeding times, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I’m very intentional about only accepting bookings I can fully commit to, so each pet receives reliable, attentive care. When I arrive, I follow all instructions exactly as provided to maintain your pet’s normal routine and comfort. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, and that litter boxes or walking needs are taken care of promptly. During each visit, I also spend time engaging with your pet based on their personality—whether that’s playtime, companionship, or giving them space if they are more independent. I keep your home clean, organized, and secure while I’m there, and I always double-check doors, gates, and any safety instructions before leaving. I also provide updates so you can feel confident knowing how your pet is doing while you’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in East New York on Rover is $27.75 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 12,002 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across East New York. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East New York. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
