About: I have 20+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from bouncy puppies to sweet seniors who like things done just so. I’ve worked in home settings, salons, and veterinary environments, so I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks and playtime to medications, special diets, and senior support. I’m especially good with anxious, shy, or high-energy dogs, and I believe great care means reading body language, respecting routines, and delivering plenty of love (and belly rubs). Your dog will be safe, happy, and probably a little spoiled while you’re away. My schedule is flexible and reliable, which means I’m able to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I plan my days around care routines—not rushing visits—so dogs get proper walks, playtime, and calm companionship, and cats get patience, consistency, and respect for their space. I communicate clearly about availability, stick to agreed-upon times, and make sure you always know when I’ve arrived and how your pet is doing. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, whether they’re in my home or their own. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping things familiar and low-stress. This includes meals on schedule, walks or playtime as usual, medications if needed, and plenty of attention at their comfort level. I’m very mindful of body language and energy, especially for anxious or senior pets, and I always move at their pace. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are a priority, so you’ll receive regular updates and photos while you’re away. My goal is for your pet to feel secure, cared for, and relaxed, not disrupted.

I also have a crate for just in case. Dogs are usually free roaming i do not crate any dogs at all unless it is requested.
“Kate took care of our kitty while we were away on our honeymoon. Our cat is 17 years old, so we knew she would be in good hands with Kate, who also has older cats. Kate spent quality time with her every day and sent us detailed updates and photos of her smiling and getting pets. Kate was even flexible when our flight was delayed and offered to come by again the next day if we were delayed overnight. I would happily book with her again.”

“Lenny was attentive and loving towards Scott; he took very good care of my baby and made him feel comfortable while I was away! Scott loved him too, he snuggled with him during visits ❤️”

About: Hi, my name is Erik! I have worked for local businesses (As well as Wag so I have a bit of app experience too) walking, training, boarding, and sitting dogs for a little over 7 years now. I love animals, being outside, and meeting new pups. Located in Bushwick, I'm a quick bike ride away from Williamsburg, Bed Stuy, Ridgewood, etc. I have no problem taking the train to further neighborhoods as well. I've lived in New York for a 11 years now so navigating around the city is no issue. I was raised in a animal loving house and couldn't be happier working with the them. I'm a jack of all trades and a big worker. I love the freedom of setting my own schedule and being outside getting my steps in. I get down to their level and let them inspect/smell me. I tend to pass the sniff test. I don't mind taking the time to wait until the pup is comfortable before going on our walk.
“Tamim was great! Amazing communication, lots of pictures and videos, and took wonderful care of our cat - she was comfortable with him immediately. We would hire Tamim again in a heartbeat.”

“Chelsea does great with my puppy Ringo! She was able to come last minute ( my daughter called me worried about him when she left for work, she said he was barking and had some separation anxiety! ) By the time I got home, he was a happier puppy after Chelsea’s visit!”

“Rhea was absolutely awesome with my boy Maverick. She was happy to do a meet n greet before the drop in and asked thoughtful questions so that she knew what to do. I got so many good pictures of Mav and great feedback from her during her drop in visits. Rhea did such a super job.”

About: I have been petsitting since I was a kid, for neighbors, friends, and family. I have experience with a range of house hold pets, but mostly with dogs and cats. I grew up with pets and currently have one spoiled cat. I help support my family's 7 cats and 6 dogs when I am able to and asked to. I make sure your fur baby is as cared for as my own, and I offer consistent updates about your pet's care and well-being since I understand the stress of being gone from your loved one! I work on many creative pursuits from home while volunteering my time outside the house. I have a flexible schedule to accommodate complex pet care throughout the day. So I am looking to offer pet care in my free time for my communities! I prioritize Morticia's health and well being every day. She gets 3 measured meals of wet food a day, her litter box gets cleaned out daily, she gets her teeth brushed, her fur brushed, and lots of play time and snuggles. You can rest assured that I would treat any critter with the same love, affection, and attention that I do for Morticia. I have enough experience with dogs and cats to understand their body language, and do my best to avoid upsetting them. I am told I would be great with horses because of my calming presence and words with animals.
“This was my first time hiring a cat sitter and my experience was absolutely wonderful. Melissa took very good care of my cats when I was away, especially my diabetic baby who I was most concerned about. She followed the instructions I gave her and kept me updated along the way. She was very attentive. I truly appreciate her. I will definitely book her again.”

“Mellanie was super respectful & courteous. Her level communication made me feel extremely comfortable about having her in my home & around my pets. She even went above beyond w/ treats & toys.”

About: I am devoted to making the dogs and their owners not only satisfied, but genuinely pleased. I want to make them as happy as they make me! I have plenty of experience watching dogs for my friends and neighbors. At my job i have a decently flexible schedule right now so my availability fluctuates, but I am committed to being responsible with your pet, and I am extremely organized. I will definitely make sure your dog gets the exercise it needs because that is something I need to work on myself anyway! Great with dogs of any size. I may be short, but there isn’t a dog too big for me. For house-sitting too, obviously, I will be respectful towards your home and listen to your instructions accordingly and promptly. I have a few freelance gigs but dog walking is the most consistent thing i have right now! Tips are very appreciated 🙏🏼 because I am aware of how low my rate is. Just shoot me a message and I am probably available. I can’t house any pets in my apartment right now unfortunately, but I would rather dogs be in their own space anyway so they can be more comfortable. I have no issue abiding by all the set house rules!
East New York cat parents share their Rover experiences
I was anxious to leave my kitties for a long trip, but with Sophia, I very quickly knew they would be well taken care of. She goes above and beyond during her visits, ensuring they are fed and the litter boxes cleaned, but also playing with them, giving them love and vacuuming the floor so that they are not surrounded by litter. I will definitely be a return customer.

Another fantastic set of visits with Mark! All three of our cats love him and he goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable while we’re away. My wife and I look forward to his messages, photos, and videos - they add so much joy and comfort to our trips!

Victoria is the absolute best and I’m so happy I’ve met her through Rover. I used to get anxious leaving my cat when I traveled but I definitely don’t anymore knowing that Oliver is in her care. She brings him new toys and puts on cat tv with him, will take the time to sit with him for longer than her visit free of charge, and cleans even though it is not required. Thanks so much again, Victoria :)

Alexander stepped up while I was dealing with an unexpected family emergency. Knowing Kermit was in kind capable hands was a huge relief in a chaotic time and one less thing to worry about. Alexander kept me updated, sent wonderful photos and I didn’t once have to worry or wonder if Kermit was happy and healthy. Alex even was able to accommodate a lengthened booking. I can’t express enough how wonderful Alexander is with my little guy and how communicative and accommodating he has been with me. I can’t thank you enough Alex!
