About: I’ve had cats all my life, including feral ones that I helped domesticate. I worked as a senior caregiver for a patient with dementia who had a cat whom she loved dearly and so I made sure to care for him with her. I love every cat I meet. I’ve taken care of kittens, adolescents, and senior cats. Shy, extroverted, in between, I can make them open up to me with time and patience. As for dogs, I am able to handle big and small. I enjoy walking to parks in my free time and watch birds, which is something I have in common with many dogs. I rarely tire even if they like to pull during walks. I am a recent graduate with distinction from CU Boulder with a degree in Neuroscience and Evolutionary Biology. Through my classes, I have learned how to properly handle and care for animals of all kinds; including but not limited to: birds, fish, cockroaches, ants, rats, and mice. This gives me an advantage of knowledge regarding health and safety when handling animals. I’m currently in between jobs, so I am completely flexible with routine. I am able to work days, nights, or weekends, depending on the needs of clients. I clean and replace litter boxes when needed. Maintaining cleanliness of food bowls as well as their area of roaming is of great importance to me as that can affect the health of the animal as well as the owner. I play calming music when I notice they are particularly anxious. I play with them when I notice they are restless until they tire. If we go for walks, I will clean paws before returning them to their household to avoid outside contamination.
“Taylor was an excellent sitter while I was on vacation! She had great communication, sent a lot of pictures and I felt my cat was very safe and well cared for. I would love to book with Taylor again!”

About: I've been caring for animals in different capacities for at least a year, and being a cat owner myself has shown me how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Our pets are family, and they deserve to be treated with the same love and attention we give them ourselves. I have experience walking dogs, as well as caring for cats with specific needs. Specifically, with my own cat who has kidney disease and eats prescription food. Additionally, I have experience administering medication (through food as well as by syringe). My goal is to provide every pet with compassionate, reliable care while giving owners peace of mind that their furry family members are in good hands. My schedule is currently very flexible for the summer, allowing me to accommodate a variety of booking needs. Before any service, I'd love to schedule a meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other, discuss your pet's routine and needs, and ensure we're a great fit. I want you to feel completely comfortable and confident that your pet will be in caring, reliable hands. When your pet is with me, they'll receive plenty of affection, playtime, and personalized care based on their needs and personality. I also believe in keeping pet parents updated, so you can expect regular messages, along with adorable photos and videos, to let you know how your furry friend is doing and how their walk or visit is going.
“Rachelle was such a great sitter - provided lots of photos and did a fantastic job monitoring my anxiety-prone cat. She was so communicative so I never worried. Not only did she take great care of my boy, but also was considerate when it came to cleaning. What a great experience!”

“Arianna was a great caretaker for Benny and Su. She was flexible with scheduling and worked around our vacation plans. Thank you for watching our cats, Benny and Su and us appreciate it!”

About: With over a decade of pet care experience, I bring dedication and skill to every furry friend. I started walking dogs after school for a pet hotel, learning grooming basics and developing a strong connection with animals. My passion extended to volunteering at shelters, rescuing cats, and fostering dogs. I excel at handling big or high-energy dogs and understand their needs. Recently, I cared for a spirited Australian Shepherd and an independent cat in Seattle, managing agility classes and coordinating pet playdates. I ensure pets stay active, engaged, and well cared for in every way. Pet care is a central part of my daily routine and something I genuinely enjoy. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate the time and attention each pet deserves. Whether it’s morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening snuggles, I can adjust to meet your pet’s needs. With my experience as a dog foster and cat rescuer, I’m well-versed in planning my day around feeding times, exercise, and maintaining a loving, stress-free environment for pets. Your furry family member’s well-being is always my top priority! Safety and trust are at the core of my pet care approach. I’m also skilled at managing high-energy pets, ensuring they’re engaged with activities, play, or safe outdoor adventures. You can trust me to treat your pet like family!
“Kate took care of our kitty while we were away on our honeymoon. Our cat is 17 years old, so we knew she would be in good hands with Kate, who also has older cats. Kate spent quality time with her every day and sent us detailed updates and photos of her smiling and getting pets. Kate was even flexible when our flight was delayed and offered to come by again the next day if we were delayed overnight. I would happily book with her again.”

About: Hi, my name is Erik! I have worked for local businesses (As well as Wag so I have a bit of app experience too) walking, training, boarding, and sitting dogs for a little over 7 years now. I love animals, being outside, and meeting new pups. Located in Bushwick, I'm a quick bike ride away from Williamsburg, Bed Stuy, Ridgewood, etc. I have no problem taking the train to further neighborhoods as well. I've lived in New York for a 11 years now so navigating around the city is no issue. I was raised in a animal loving house and couldn't be happier working with the them. I'm a jack of all trades and a big worker. I love the freedom of setting my own schedule and being outside getting my steps in. I get down to their level and let them inspect/smell me. I tend to pass the sniff test. I don't mind taking the time to wait until the pup is comfortable before going on our walk.

“Shanna did an amazing job caring for my cats while I was away on a much-needed vacation. From our initial meeting, my cats took to her right away, which was such a relief! She was very responsive and shared thoughtful, detailed updates in each Rover card. I genuinely looked forward to reading them after every visit. It was clear she cared for Skylar & Jackson as if they were her own. I was able to feel at ease during my trip because I knew they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been petsitting since I was a kid, for neighbors, friends, and family. I have experience with a range of house hold pets, but mostly with dogs and cats. I grew up with pets and currently have one spoiled cat. I help support my family's 7 cats and 6 dogs when I am able to and asked to. I make sure your fur baby is as cared for as my own, and I offer consistent updates about your pet's care and well-being since I understand the stress of being gone from your loved one! I work on many creative pursuits from home while volunteering my time outside the house. I have a flexible schedule to accommodate complex pet care throughout the day. So I am looking to offer pet care in my free time for my communities! I prioritize Morticia's health and well being every day. She gets 3 measured meals of wet food a day, her litter box gets cleaned out daily, she gets her teeth brushed, her fur brushed, and lots of play time and snuggles. You can rest assured that I would treat any critter with the same love, affection, and attention that I do for Morticia. I have enough experience with dogs and cats to understand their body language, and do my best to avoid upsetting them. I am told I would be great with horses because of my calming presence and words with animals.
About: I have hands-on experience from working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’ve also provided regular dog walking, in-home sitting, and medication support for friends and family. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy rescue, or a senior dog with special needs, I’m confident, patient, and ready to meet them where they’re at. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I can’t wait to meet your pet and give them the care and attention they deserve! As a third-year college student currently on summer break, I have full availability and a flexible schedule, so pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I am able to plan my day around walks, drop-ins, and overnight care, making sure pets are consistently checked on and cared for on time. I’m also able to accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, and most weekends without scheduling conflicts. In your home, I stick to your pet’s routine to make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home—even when you’re not. Whether it’s feeding, meds, walks, or just some good company, I’m there to give them the care and attention they’re used to. I’ll keep you updated along the way, so you always know how they’re doing.
About: I usually work with shy, aggressive or fearful dogs or cats. It can take weeks, months or years to befriend them but when you do it's extremely rewarding, especially when an animal someone deems "dangerous" comes out to be the biggest sweetheart. I have tons of patience and I believe every species of animal deserves love and respect. As humans, it's our duty to be the voices and guardians of the animals in our care. They look to us for comfort, guidance, love and peace. That's why I do anything in my power to donate or volunteer at animal shelters because every animal should know that there's humans out there that actually care about their well being. Working with animals is a great career for me. Update; 8/2020 I’ve been volunteering and working with pets as a professional pet care provider for five years now. Through my journey I’ve learned pet CPR and gained dog training knowledge through Poochpals llc as well as worked as a dog handler at walterspetstyles. I’m currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer and furthering my knowledge on Pet care. At Poochpals we believe in being a friend for life so I’m definitely bringing our motto into the field and looking to become a furever friend for your pets. If you’re ever in need of an actual PROFESSIONAL pet care provider, look no further! I also have basic training knowledge so don’t be surprised if your pup or cat comes back knowing a few new tricks 😂 I have open availability Monday-Sunday. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! My dog, Odin, loves to make new friends of all species. Updates:4/7/2026 Hello friends! I would not be at 29 Hanford anymore due to instability, so I’m moving my business down to NYC before heading to PA. We have multiple fences in house and around the property. Pups are also supervised 24/7 and we have a designated dog room just for them. Back porch is also secured with gates. Dogs aren’t allowed on the lawn without human supervision and a 20ft leash. Lawn is fenced. We have strict safety procedures when it comes down to pets and children.
“Mellanie was super respectful & courteous. Her level communication made me feel extremely comfortable about having her in my home & around my pets. She even went above beyond w/ treats & toys.”

About: I have 20+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from bouncy puppies to sweet seniors who like things done just so. I’ve worked in home settings, salons, and veterinary environments, so I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks and playtime to medications, special diets, and senior support. I’m especially good with anxious, shy, or high-energy dogs, and I believe great care means reading body language, respecting routines, and delivering plenty of love (and belly rubs). Your dog will be safe, happy, and probably a little spoiled while you’re away. My schedule is flexible and reliable, which means I’m able to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I plan my days around care routines—not rushing visits—so dogs get proper walks, playtime, and calm companionship, and cats get patience, consistency, and respect for their space. I communicate clearly about availability, stick to agreed-upon times, and make sure you always know when I’ve arrived and how your pet is doing. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, whether they’re in my home or their own. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping things familiar and low-stress. This includes meals on schedule, walks or playtime as usual, medications if needed, and plenty of attention at their comfort level. I’m very mindful of body language and energy, especially for anxious or senior pets, and I always move at their pace. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are a priority, so you’ll receive regular updates and photos while you’re away. My goal is for your pet to feel secure, cared for, and relaxed, not disrupted.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East New York
Kate is the greatest! She clearly loves cats, and seemed to bond with ours immediately. Her daily updates are very thorough and comforting. We were also relieved to find someone with senior cat experience, as she was attentive and knew how to navigate any potential accidents. 10/10 will book again :)

Thank you Rosandy and Edward for loving Blaze and Starlette. My cats are my world, and every time I have to leave for work, it makes me sad, however, knowing that you two are there to see them and care for them makes me happy. I truly appreciate all you do for them always. Thank you.

Regina was a great sitter for our little noche! Her visits helped ease our kitty’s anxiety that she usually suffers when we go on vacation, and she seemed calm and relaxed the rest of the week! Will definitely book with Regina again. Experienced, caring, thorough, and kind!

Ai is just amazing!! Communicative and very caring :) there was severe weather like heatwave and air pollution in ny when I was away but she made sure that everything was taken care of properly. Also my flight was 7hrs delayed and I had to cancel one visit but she was so prompt with handling it. I can’t thank her enough for keeping my pet family safe ! She’s so responsible and trustworthy!

Kristine is not only the best Cat Sitter we could have asked for. This is the 2nd time we have had her take care of our Cat. She is Such a Sweet Person, She keeps us completely updated on how our Cat is doing with Photos every day. She goes above and beyond our expectations and even cleaned my apartment. She takes such great care of our Cat that I can’t recommend her highly enough. She really is a very reliable and incredibly Compassionate and Competent Cat sitter!!! She truly is The Best!!! Peter a

Faith was a great sitter for our cat Molly. Faith came every morning to feed and play with her. She sent us photos every visit, which we loved! Faith was attentive, communicative and went above and beyond during her visits. We trust her and hope to work with her in future! 10/10 would recommend.

Leah did fantastic with my tiny foster kitten. The kitten was very shy and skittish, and in the process of being socialized. She took no time at all to warm up to Leah; I got many videos of her purring away and happily playing. Leah clearly loves animals and has a great way with them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
