“Jenna was really great with our puppy. She even helped clean up an accident our poochie had in her pen before Jenna arrived. I also really appreciate the detailed visit card. Thank you!”

“Christie is awesome! Great communication the whole time and she took excellent care of our 2 cats. Couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience on Rover.”

“Third time booking with Lisa! She took care of Professor Persimmon with her usual kindness and attention to detail. She found he had knocked over the toilet paper roll (classic) and put it somewhere out of reach! Communicative and lots of pictures. Thanks for playing with the Professor!”

“Nina took great care of our cat while we were away, and was so attentive and communicative throughout! She shared lots of photos and videos and so kindly cleaned up after our cat who has a tendency to throw up hair balls. Our cat is older so we generally worry about her when we are away, but it’s much easier when she is well looked after in our absence and that’s how we felt with Nina checking in on her! “Angelica is phenomenal! She cared for our dog Peanut like one of her own, providing mental stimulation, exercise and most importantly, lots of love. Angelica was extremely communicative from the start, sending thorough and heartwarming updates with every visit. Such a caring and thoughtful dog sitter!”

“As always, Candice took great care of our 3 babies! Always keeping us posted of how they’re doing and sending us photos; we always ask Candice to take care of our cats when we’re out of town!”

“Katherine is so lovely and did a fantastic job with communication and updates on my cat, even though he's quite shy and has a habit of spilling his water! I would definitely book her again while I am away, thank you so much!”

“Jen is an amazing sitter. She took fantastic care of my beloved Lumpy, a most special boy who can be a little stoic and shy. She’s thorough and super prompt with communication, which I appreciate so much as an anxious cat mom. Will definitely rebook! Thanks Jen!”

“Booking Connor was the best decision I could have made for my month-long trip. I was extremely anxious about leaving my cat for that long, but Connor's professionalism and clear love for animals put me at ease. He provided consistent photo updates that showed my cat was comfortable, happy, and acting like his usual self, which gave me incredible peace of mind. Without a doubt, Connor is the only person I'll trust to watch my cat in the future.”

About: I’ve been a huge dog and animal lover my whole life, but currently don’t have any of my own. Luckily, I work a very flexible remote job that allows me to give lots of love and attention to your furry baby! I prioritize the comfort and safety of each pet, so I only accept 1 client at a time and will never have multiple pets from different clients at once. I have years of experience and will love and treat your pet(s) like my own! I have a very flexible work from home job, so I can easily take pets on walks and give them lots of love and attention! I live in a comfortable luxury apartment with 24/7 doormen. I do not have a yard, but I live in a safe neighborhood where I can take them on frequent walks. My building also has a private outdoor space and pet grooming amenities.
“Houda took incredible care of my kittens while I was gone for two weeks! She quickly won them both over, and was amazing about sending me updates that clearly demonstrated she was spending time with them, having just as much fun with their quirky cuteness as me, and treating them as her own. She gave them lots of playtime and cuddles while I was away, and I came back to two well cared for kittens!”

“Andrew & Jing have been incredibly communicative and thoughtful during the two times they’ve taken care of my cat. They send lots of great photos, comprehensive updates, follow all instructions closely and take time to play with her as well. It was a relief knowing she was in such good care!”

“Isabel is the best! Not only did she take amazing care of our babies, but she also went above and beyond to make them comfortable while we were traveling. She won their hearts in less than 3 days, and we definitely recommend her to care for your fur babies!🐈😻 P.S. takes the best pictures of them! 🫶🙌”

“Honestly, I never want to leave my little Annie with anyone else. Victoria so clearly loves animals and loves getting to know their personalities. She sent pictures every day and updates on how Annie seemed to be doing, including when she thought Annie might not be feeling great. I would trust Victoria with Annie absolutely any time. Thank you!!!”

Katherine was very good with my pets and provided updates for each visit. She was great at communicating and providing pictures for each walk and visit. My pets seemed to enjoy her company! She also cleaned and kept the space tidy without having to ask. I'd definitely recommend Katherine and also request for her again for future sitting.
Faith was a great sitter for our cat Molly. Faith came every morning to feed and play with her. She sent us photos every visit, which we loved! Faith was attentive, communicative and went above and beyond during her visits. We trust her and hope to work with her in future! 10/10 would recommend.

Chloe was wonderful and took such great care of my cats while I was away. She truly went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and cared for, and I had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. One of my cats needs a daily inhaler, and Chloe did an amazing job administering it, even when my cat was a bit resistant. I really appreciated her patience, care, and dedication. I would absolutely recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again!

Frances was an incredible catsitter for my 7 year old cat. She was so respectful of his space when we did a meet and greet and he was all over her while I was gone! I came home to a very happy and well-loved kitty. Frances also sent pictures and videos every day which was very appreciated! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a pet sitter nearby.

This was the first time my partner and I left my cat alone for so long and having Heather take care of him gave me such peace of mind. Heather was communicative and a true professional. She sent written updates and Les of photos and videos every time she visited him. She played with him and brushed him and kept him such good company. She even vacuumed my house she watered my plants. Our cat was as safe, healthy, and happy in Heather’s capable and loving hands. I would definitely book her again.

I booked Julia last minute for my long trip and ended up having a really good experience. She went out of her way to help me take care of Salmon and his supplies so I don't have to do it myself afterwards. I'll definitely book her again in the future - highly recommended!

Jiamin was absolutely wonderful with Whiskey and Chuchi! She followed all of their care instructions closely, kept me updated, and gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she treated them with patience, kindness, and genuine affection. I came home to two happy, well cared for cats and everything was left clean and organized. I would happily book Jiamin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and caring sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Long Island City. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
