About: Animals have always been a huge part of our lives. We started with 2 rescue cats, fostered a puppy together, and eventually adopted our dog Miki. With our little family, your pet is coming into a home that already has plenty of company. Caring for dogs has already been a regular part of our routines. This includes a mix of walks, daycare, and boarding, plus occasional drop-in visits for cats. Currently, Andrew is working from home full time, and Stacey is in the office 4 days a week but home every evening and weekend, so your dog will never be left alone. Both of us will be involved in their care throughout the day. We're located in LIC, right between Court Square and Queensboro Plaza, making drop-offs and pickups convenient. Drop-off & Pick-up: We keep things flexible! Drop off and pick up any time between 7:30am–9pm. We've used sitters for our pets as well, so we know how much trust goes into leaving your pet with someone. You can expect us to care for your pet the same way we'd want our pets cared for. Feel free to use our code ANDREB48451 for $40 off your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/andreb48451

“Christie is a very reliable sitter! I dropped my phone in the pool first day on vacation and didn’t have a way of checking in but Christie kept on caring for my cat the entire time and went above and beyond!”

“Mary went above and beyond taking care of my two cats while I was gone for a full week. One of my cats had a few accidents while I was away and Mary when the extra mile, ensuring he was okay and cleaning up the area. She also was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and gave my cat so much love! I could not recommend her enough!”

“Nina took great care of our cat while we were away, and was so attentive and communicative throughout! She shared lots of photos and videos and so kindly cleaned up after our cat who has a tendency to throw up hair balls. Our cat is older so we generally worry about her when we are away, but it’s much easier when she is well looked after in our absence and that’s how we felt with Nina checking in on her! Second time booking with Liam and he was just as great as the first time! It is so reassuring to have a cat sitter I already trust. My cats were well cared for and all my detailed instructions were followed. He reached out with questions he had and I really appreciated his thoughtfulness.
Natalie did an amazing job taking care of our cats, Momo and Didi! We left quite a detailed set of care instructions, and she followed everything carefully, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She also sent us lots of videos and updates throughout the visits, and we really appreciated being able to see how our cats were doing. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them and took great care of them. We would absolutely book Natalie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful cat sitter!

Marianna was Excellent! visited twice a day, made sure our cat was fed, cleaned the litter box, and spent time playing with him. The updates and photos were greatly appreciated and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well cared for cat- Highly recommend!

Yejin took great care of my cat Lumpia while I was traveling. It was a big job: twice-a-day visits for 14 days with topical and pill medications to administer at every visit. Yejin handled it all with careful precision. Every detail was documented and confirmed at each visit. I got tons of pics and videos to see how Lumpia was doing. Yejin did a wonderful job.

Melissa was a great sitter! My cats loved her (even the shy one didn’t hide as much) and she made sure they had plenty of food and water and pets and even took the used litter outside. When my flight was canceled coming home, she was able to come an extra day last minute which was SO helpful and much appreciated. Will definitely be reaching out for future visits.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Long Island City. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
