About: Animals have always been a huge part of our lives. We started with 2 rescue cats, fostered a puppy together, and eventually adopted our dog Miki. With our little family, your pet is coming into a home that already has plenty of company. Caring for dogs has already been a regular part of our routines. This includes a mix of walks, daycare, and boarding, plus occasional drop-in visits for cats. Currently, Andrew is working from home full time, and Stacey is in the office 4 days a week but home every evening and weekend, so your dog will never be left alone. Both of us will be involved in their care throughout the day. We're located in LIC, right between Court Square and Queensboro Plaza, making drop-offs and pickups convenient. Drop-off & Pick-up: We keep things flexible! Drop off and pick up any time between 7:30am–9pm. We've used sitters for our pets as well, so we know how much trust goes into leaving your pet with someone. You can expect us to care for your pet the same way we'd want our pets cared for. Feel free to use our code ANDREB48451 for $40 off your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/andreb48451
“Nina took great care of our cat while we were away, and was so attentive and communicative throughout! She shared lots of photos and videos and so kindly cleaned up after our cat who has a tendency to throw up hair balls. Our cat is older so we generally worry about her when we are away, but it’s much easier when she is well looked after in our absence and that’s how we felt with Nina checking in on her! “Christie took great care of our cats while we are away. She has given them lots of playtime, care, and love We would for sure go back to Christie again if we have needs.”

“Mary went above and beyond taking care of my two cats while I was gone for a full week. One of my cats had a few accidents while I was away and Mary when the extra mile, ensuring he was okay and cleaning up the area. She also was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and gave my cat so much love! I could not recommend her enough!”

“Katherine is amazing!!!! So so communicative, sweet and caring towards my kitty. She genuinely did such a great job and I will definitely be contacting her again if I go out of town! Please consider Katherine!”

“Nitisha was responsive and communicative, which gave me peace of mind while I was traveling. Our cat Cleo seemed to enjoy her company, and I would be happy to have her check in on Cleo again in the future.”

“Anne is truly the best! She took such incredible care of my cats while I was away on vacation. She kept me updated with thoughtful messages and photos the whole time. Coming home to two happy, relaxed cats made it clear they had been loved and well cared for while I was gone. Will definitely have her watch them again!”

“Jen was extremely kind, patient, and understanding with our nervous rescue pup. She provided lots of updates and made me feel confident our sweet girl was in good hands!”

“Took good care of our two cats. Effective communicator and a good problem solver- was able to find the cat food & bowls that were unexpectedly put away by our cleaner, even when I was abroad and couldn't respond in time to give explicit instructions. Sent us good photos at every check-in. Would definitely recommend!”

“Jenna is amazing!!! She is very attentive and looked after my baby so well. I have a 10 year old dog with multiple health conditions. She did a great job taking care of him. He looked so happy and healthy when we returned from our vacation. Thank you so much Jenna ??.”
“Andrew & Jing have been incredibly communicative and thoughtful during the two times they’ve taken care of my cat. They send lots of great photos, comprehensive updates, follow all instructions closely and take time to play with her as well. It was a relief knowing she was in such good care!”

“Abdelkader is the best! He took care of my cat while I was on vacation and even was able to accomodate some last minute changes on scheduling to make sure my cat was okay and happy. I would totally book him again for my next trip. Totally recommended.”

“Lisa did an excellent job looking after our two cats over a long vacation. She was very easy to connect with and so caring and attentive to their needs. We would highly recommend her!”

“Honestly, I never want to leave my little Annie with anyone else. Victoria so clearly loves animals and loves getting to know their personalities. She sent pictures every day and updates on how Annie seemed to be doing, including when she thought Annie might not be feeling great. I would trust Victoria with Annie absolutely any time. Thank you!!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Long Island City
Jess helped take care of my cat for a few days and she was nice and responsible. The litter box was clean when I came home and she also turned on AC because of the weather. She helped fill the wet food feeder daily which was involved but she did exactly as my instructions.

Julija was amazing. My other cat sitter had to cancel at the last minute, and Julija stepped in to save the day! She was so communicative, prompt, and professional. She left incredibly detailed and thoughtful notes about my cat. My cat is typically a shy guy and hides under the bed with strangers, but he came right out for Julija and was meowing and rolling over onto his back for her!! It was the sweetest thing.

This was my first time using Rover, and everything went perfectly. I feel very lucky to have found CK. From the very first update, I felt completely at ease, which allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation without worrying about Catalina. CK was incredibly attentive, and it was clear from the photos that Catalina felt comfortable and well cared for. The updates were reassuring, and I always knew she was in good hands. I highly recommend CK to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again!

Second time booking with Liam and he was just as great as the first time! It is so reassuring to have a cat sitter I already trust. My cats were well cared for and all my detailed instructions were followed. He reached out with questions he had and I really appreciated his thoughtfulness.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Long Island City. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
