About: I've grown up with dogs, and I hope it's only right that I continue to share my love for them in adulthood. I'm beyond grateful for the trust my friends and family have put in me to care for, walk, and train their dogs for the last couple of years. I hope to get to share my love for your furry friend next! As a full-time student it's difficult for me to find a job that fits into my busy schedule. School can be stressful and tiring, but I always found being with pets keeps my energy alive. I believe it's important to get to know a pet to satisfy their needs including: needing to go outside, feeling anxious, hungry, etc. I pay very close attention to the behavior of my pets to ensure their quality of life is at its highest with me.
“Lauren is the absolute best! Every single time, she goes above and beyond to take care of not only my kitties but also the apartment. You really are the best, and I’m so thankful to have a cat sitter so great and trustworthy”

“Kirsten was amazing! We needed a last minute sitter and she was super easy to work with. I appreciated her flexibility and her attention to detail. Minka seemed incredibly happy with her while she was here!”

“Hannah was fantastic. Very communicative and sent lots of photos. My cat seemed to warm up to here quickly which isn’t always the case! Will definitely use Hannah again.”

“Vanessa was amazing once again! This was my second time using her, and she took such great care of Luna. She was very communicative throughout the visit and even helped give Luna her medication, which I really appreciated. It’s such a relief knowing Luna is in such caring and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

About: ⭐️ Get $20 off your first booking! Use code ANTOIC46087: https://www.rover.com/sit/antoic46087 For the past 26 years, dogs have always been an integral part of my life. I am lucky to have been surrounded by their love since I was 6, and (not to brag but) have always been my dogs' favorite human in my family. From a 16 year old toy poodle diva, to an anxious but goofy rescued doppelgänger of Dante (from Disney's Coco), I have plenty of experience training and caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and different needs. DOG BOARDING - snuggles after playtime to calm your dog down before bedtime is an important thing I've learned from raising a hyperactive beagle puppy HOUSE SITTING - light occasional snack can help with bonding and distracting a dog who is anxious to have a stranger home while waiting for their beloved human to return DOGGY DAY CARE - tidying up my own place not only for my own good, but also to keep dangerous items or poisonous foods out of reach DOG WALKING - running, brisk walking, or slow strolls :) ✦ Schedule ─ I work mostly from home, so your fur children can always have my time and attention, and regular walkies or outside breaks. ✤ Environment ─ I am confident that your fur baby will trust and feel safe with me. I live on my own and can give them 100% of my attention.
“Christopher is a wonderful pet sitter!! My pup, Aspen, loves his daily drop ins while I'm at work. Christopher is extremely friendly and flexible - thank you for all you do for my pup and I🐶”

“Mary went above and beyond taking care of my two cats while I was gone for a full week. One of my cats had a few accidents while I was away and Mary when the extra mile, ensuring he was okay and cleaning up the area. She also was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and gave my cat so much love! I could not recommend her enough!”

About: Animals have been drawn to me my whole life, just as I have been drawn to them! I’ve had about every pet you could think of, and even went vegan for ethical reasons and never went back! Dogs have a very special place in my heart. I’m comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs, I will dedicate my time to loving them just like you do! If possible, I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away. I have a sweet dog of my own, a cockapoo, who is full of energy and curiosity! I couldn’t live without him. I work from home 4 days a week which allows me to spend lots of quality time playing in the park and making new furry friends! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When I’m with your pets, I would love to take your precious babies for walks, to parks, or take on anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable!
“Meg was available on very short notice to bring my very high energy dog for a walk. She provided updates and a bunch of pictures and it seemed like Moose had a blast with her. Will definitely reach out to Meg again next time we need a walker!”

“Scott is a cat-whisperer! He was recommended to us by another Rover sitter that we like to work with, and we are so happy to have found him too. Scott took great care of our girl and sent lots of lovely pictures of her. We’ll definitely book him again, and you should too!”
About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember - I spent my free time in high school and college volunteering at local shelters and veterinary hospitals just to be around dogs and cats. I have lived with dogs my whole life, and find nothing more joyous than a happy dog. I'd love to be a part of your furry friend's life - from walks, to home visits, to overnights, my goal is to make your dog or cat as happy as if they were my own! I currently work from a (pet friendly) office 3-4 days per week, but live in a one bedroom apartment so your pet can have the place to themself while I’m gone! On the weekends I can be home for as long as needed, if I’m watching your pup I love going on long walks. Overall, I am happy to be there for whatever they may need! I have multiple years of experience with walking and care for pets and am happy to adapt to whatever needs your pet may have. Whether its walking instructions, feeding, or night time routines, I will help wherever I can!
“Anna took great care of our kitty and sent us the best pictures! She was super professional and reliable, and she was patient and understanding as our sky, skittish cat warmed up to her. We would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’m based in FiDi, with 10 years of experience owning and sitting dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs, puppies, seniors, disabled dogs, big and small. Right now my schedule is completely open, which means your dog gets my full attention! No rushing, no half-present sitter. Just walks, playtime, and hanging out on their terms. I’m also a cat mom of two, so I get it. Leaving your pet with someone new is a big deal. I take that seriously. Happy to do a meet & greet first, and you’ll get plenty of photo updates along the way! I’m completely free right now and available any day, any time. I’m happy to take transit to get to your pet and will always communicate early if anything comes up. I’m excited to make them part of my daily routine! Respecting your rules and space is my top priority. I take safety seriously and will always follow your instructions. I’m also happy to help with any extra chores or steps in their routine.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - New York
I had a wonderful experience! Elena was punctual, professional, and so kind with my two cats. It was clear she genuinely cared about them and made sure they were comfortable and well looked after. I really appreciated her reliability and would definitely book her again. Highly recommend!

Jennifer is wonderful! I rarely need a sitter for my little son, but I’m so glad I found her on short notice! She’s extremely communicative and really loves animals. She was on time, thorough, and made sure my cat was taken care of during the heatwave. I highly recommend Jennifer!

Madeleine took great care of our cats while we were away! Lots of playtime and brushing. She was especially good with our very shy Poppy girl (former feral) who usually takes some time to warm up but was running around and playing in no time! Madeleine even ran our robo vacuum before leaving each day which helps so much keeping things tidy for the girls and for us when we get back! Great communication and she sent lots of photos. Clearly someone who felt very safe for the girls to be running around and playing as much as they were! So appreciate knowing they were in great hands 💕

Christina is simply the best! I’ve been booking her so much I consider her part of our family. She is so attentive and communicative and thoughtful. My cat Winnie runs to the door when she visits and she does this for no one! Thank you Christina for always going the extra mile! ❤️

Yuxin is the best! The moment she first entered the apartment my cat immediately went up to her, she really has a way with cats! She’s very attentive and my cat really liked her. She made sure to play and pet Pepe and even problem solved with clear communication when Pepe was being difficult with taking medicine.

Aleksandra was very patient and kind to my super shy cat. She checked in on my cat for 4 days and was prompt and communicative throughout. She went out of her way to make sure he ate, even as he hid. My cat is always scared of new people but he opened up to Aleksandra by the third day. I would highly recommend her as she will take very good care of your pet!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New York. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
