“Lucy was fantastic! She took great care of our two cats, one who is particularly shy, even coaxing her out to play! I felt very comfortable having Lucy in charge while I was away and, given her excellent check-in summaries & photos, I almost felt like my cats were on vacation and I was reading their travel blog! :8-) Thanks, Lucy!”

“This was our first time leaving our cat with a sitter and it went great. George was extremely responsive at all times and provided updates and lots of photos. Our trip was unexpectedly extended and when we needed an extra drop-in last minute George helped us out immediately.”

About: I'm responsible, thoughtful, and energetic. I've taken care of dogs since I was young and have had everything from Labradoodles to Dobermanns to French Bulldogs. I have experience fostering young puppies and potty training puppies. I work part time on weekdays and finish at 3 p.m., so I’m available every weekday after that, as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I live in a clean, smoke-free, and drug-free doorman building where pets are welcome and well cared for. The neighborhood is very safe and just a two-minute walk from Battery Park City, offering plenty of nearby space for walks and outdoor time.
About: ⭐️ Get $40 off your first booking! Use code ANTOIC46087: https://www.rover.com/sit/antoic46087 For the past 26 years, dogs have always been an integral part of my life. I am lucky to have been surrounded by their love since I was 6, and (not to brag but) have always been my dogs' favorite human in my family. From a 16 year old toy poodle diva, to an anxious but goofy rescued doppelgänger of Dante (from Disney's Coco), I have plenty of experience training and caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and different needs. DOG BOARDING - snuggles after playtime to calm your dog down before bedtime is an important thing I've learned from raising a hyperactive beagle puppy HOUSE SITTING - light occasional snack can help with bonding and distracting a dog who is anxious to have a stranger home while waiting for their beloved human to return DOGGY DAY CARE - tidying up my own place not only for my own good, but also to keep dangerous items or poisonous foods out of reach DOG WALKING - running, brisk walking, or slow strolls :) ✦ Schedule ─ I work mostly from home, so your fur children can always have my time and attention, and regular walkies or outside breaks. ✤ Environment ─ I am confident that your fur baby will trust and feel safe with me. I live on my own and can give them 100% of my attention.
“Ava was amazing with Ollie! She took care of him very well and was patient until he came out of his shell. He can be a bit shy at first but he ended up loving her and was comfortable to play with her and loaf next to her on the couch! Thank you Ava and I’ll definitely be booking you again :)”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of many sizes for the past 7 years. I run regularly and have plenty of energy to keep up with your pup. And I’ve been a dog owner myself for my whole life! I take care of dogs of all ages and activity levels, and have experience administering medications and tending to dogs with special care needs. Anything your four legged friends need and more, I’m ready to provide. I work remotely and love to take breaks walking dogs! At the moment I am between jobs, so I am filling my time with as much pet sitting as possible! I have my own apartment, so your dog(s) will get my full attention at my home or yours. When sitting I take walks at least every 2 hours, and more often for high energy pets. I am also comfortable with special feeding and medication schedules, and love to care for all the special needs your for your special pets!
“We had a great experience with Roger. Roger was very attentive to Lily. So glad he was able to make time on a holiday weekend to watch her. I highly recommend Roger and just hope he'll be available for future drop in needs.”

“Mariele truly went above and beyond in every way!! She kept us updated throughout the day with the sweetest, funniest, and most detailed notes and photos. Our kitties were clearly well taken care of, played with, and given so much love while we were away. So much so that we think they missed Mariele for a while after our return, haha! We are so thankful to have found her, and look forward to the next booking. She is wonderful!!”

“Jocelyn is FANTASTIC I’m not exaggerating I felt so safe leaving my best furry friend in her care. She was extra communicative, wanting to know about my cat, and super thoughtful. I really will feel at ease going out of town next time and hopefully leaving my cat with Jocelyn’s care”

“Jenny did a great job watching my puppy Sage. She was friendly, kept me updated with pictures, and made sure Sage was happy and cared for. Would definitely recommend!”

“Scott is a cat-whisperer! He was recommended to us by another Rover sitter that we like to work with, and we are so happy to have found him too. Scott took great care of our girl and sent lots of lovely pictures of her. We’ll definitely book him again, and you should too!”

“Vicky was awesome and went above and beyond. She went through the entire checklist we provided, and even did some additional cleaning. She also played with Momo and took lovely pics and videos. ❤️”

About: Hi! We’re Spencer and Janet - a couple living in the East Village who can’t get enough of dogs. No matter the place or occasion, the second there’s a dog around, they have 100% of our attention. We don’t have a dog of our own (yet!), so whenever we get the chance to care for one, they’re treated like family. Lots of love, attention, and updates guaranteed. Whether your dog is staying overnight or joining us for a walk, you can trust they’ll be in good hands! We’ve both grown up around dogs and are the first to volunteer to care for friends’ and family members’ pups, so we’re comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether your dog loves long walks, park playtime, or lots of cuddles, we’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home with us. We offer flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, or dog sitting, including daytime, evenings, and weekends. For boarding, your pup will have company through the day and a cozy, welcoming space to relax in. One of us is almost always home, so your dog would rarely be left alone for long. We live in a clean and cozy two-bedroom apartment where dogs are welcome to roam and make themselves comfortable - the couch, the bed, wherever they please! We’re just around the corner from a dog park and dog-friendly cafe, and if you’re comfortable with it, we’d love to include safe social outings during your pup’s stay. Whether they’re happiest exploring the neighborhood or napping on the couch, we’ll follow their usual routine to help them feel right at home.
“Stephanie is great, she was patient with our nervous dog who is skeptical of new people. She took care of him for a couple of weeks while we were on vacation and everything went well.”

I cannot recommend Yirui highly enough! I needed someone to watch [Dog's Name] for 10 days, and [Walker's Name] went entirely above and beyond. They came by three times a day like clockwork and even took the extra time to bring [Dog's Name] to the local park to get their energy out. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pup was getting fresh air, exercise, and genuine care while I was busy. If you need someone reliable, communicative, and truly great with dogs, hire Yirui!

Gabriela was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my two dogs and cat, and they all loved her. She was extremely reliable, attentive, and clearly spent quality time with them—playing with them, giving them lots of attention, and making sure the dogs got their walks. I especially appreciated the pictures she sent throughout, which gave me such peace of mind knowing everyone was happy and well cared for. I would absolutely use Gabriela again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter!

Ziyi has been absolutely incredible, and I couldn’t be happier that she’s the one caring for my dog. Since he’s a rescue, he can get very anxious outside and needs someone who’s patient and understanding. Ziyi has been exactly that. She always takes the time to work with him at his own pace, and I can tell she genuinely cares about making him feel safe and comfortable. She also makes sure he gets plenty of playtime and mental stimulation during her visits. Every time I come home, he’s happy, relaxed, and content, which gives me so much peace of mind. I can’t recommend her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
