About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, whether it be dogs in my own home or pets of close friends. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like and I’d like to say the same for every dog that’s met me! I’m currently in between jobs so I have ample time to walk your dogs or do drop-in visits with whatever fits best for your schedule. I’m open to whatever best advice you have for taking care of your pets (where to walk, where not to walk, favorite toys, etc.). I have favorite spots based on where I’ve been with my friends’ pets but open to whatever makes your pet the most comfortable with me.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for many years - from day long stays to multi-week housing. I worked at the Michigan humane society and have experience with all breeds of dogs/cats. Overall I’ve always loved animals but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I am a strategic financial associate at Uber but have a hybrid work schedule - I am available for walking, house visits and boarding Friday through Monday. I live in a dog friendly building in a large two bedroom unit with plenty of space for a dog. No current dogs at the residence.

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with my family dogs Daisy the Shih Tzu for 14 great years, and caring for her taught me everything from daily routines to understanding her weird little quirks that make each dog unique. Since then, I’ve become the go‑to dog sitter for my friends, regularly helping with walks and overnight stays. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and know the importance of taking care of your dog as if it was my own. Your pet’s comfort and routine matter to me, and I’m committed to giving them the same love and attention they expect at home. I am currently working a flexible hybrid job in Tribeca and live in Astoria. I am flexible in terms of being near either location and more throughout the week. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a clean, well‑organized 1‑bedroom apartment (about 500 sq ft), which creates a calm, controlled, and quiet environment that’s perfect for dogs who thrive on consistency and attention. My apartment is a short walk from multiple parks, so your dog will have plenty of space to play. The space is fully pet‑proofed and there is plenty of space for your dog’s bed/crate.
“Eileen is always so attentive to our cat’s needs. She does a great job playing with him and getting his energy out. All directions are always followed with care. I highly recommend Eileen!”

“Karalyn was awesome! Very responsive and communicative. I could tell by the updates that our cats were happy and well taken care of, even with their special dietary needs. I would definitely recommend her and will use her services again in the future!”
“Jen is an amazing sitter. She took fantastic care of my beloved Lumpy, a most special boy who can be a little stoic and shy. She’s thorough and super prompt with communication, which I appreciate so much as an anxious cat mom. Will definitely rebook! Thanks Jen!”

“Miguel is great! Totally reliable, right on time every day, kept me posted on everything - and my super-shy cat even came out to take a look at him while he was here, which is a first!”

“Faith was an outstanding cat sitter. She was trustworthy, reliable and responsive, and provided detailed updates during every visit. Faith spent extra time cuddling and playing with my cat each day and my cat absolutely loved her. I would recommend Faith to anyone for pet sitting needs without hesitation!!”

“Jessica is a fantastic sitter! It’s always a little stressful trying to find a new sitter but she immediately put my mind at ease. It’s clear that she’s a cat lover herself and our cat took to her right away. Jessica will really go above and beyond for you. She sent lots of pictures for us and kept us in the loop about how he was doing. Our vacation was even more relaxing knowing our little guy was in such good hands! We will definitely be booking Jessica again in the future.”

“Eliza was a fantastic sitter! She sent photos everyday and was sure to let me know how my kitty was doing. I will definitely consider Eliza when I need a sitter again in the future!”

“Jasmine did an amazing job taking care of my little fur baby. She was very transparent, gave great updates, and most importantly - my cat loved her. Definitely recommend!”

“Erin took amazing care of my kitties, making sure to play and cuddle with them while I was away. From the photos she shared each visit, they clearly appreciated the attention and most tellingly, they were relaxed and happy when I arrived home after a week, which means her visits really calmed them. She kept their litter and food area clean too! I’m so grateful for and happy with her care.”
About: What sets me apart is my real, hands-on experience with cats who have very specific needs. I currently have three cats of my own, each with very different personalities and care requirements. One of my boys has Chronic Kidney Disease, so I’m very comfortable following strict feeding schedules, prescription diets, and monitoring health closely. Another has pica, which has made me extremely mindful about keeping environments safe and free of anything harmful he could ingest. I also have experience administering oral medication to cats. My third cat, Po, is feisty and playful but also values her space—so I truly understand reading cat body language and respecting boundaries. I’ve had cats since my teen years, and I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of love. As of right now, I currently WFH with Friday’s being my more “chill” days. I’d be happy to take your dog for a walk or hang with them anytime past 4-5pm. :) I work weekdays and travel every other week (only travel mon-thurs) but I am completely free on weekends or Friday nights (anytime past 4-5pm) entering into weekends. Happy to be flexible on weekends and spend as much time needed with your furry friend! My home is a cat oasis. I have cat scratchers everywhere, I have even hired a cat behaviorist to understand what makes my cats tick and help them love the space they’re in!
“Angie is a repeat sitter for my cat Presley, and she’s been wonderful every time! I can trust that his medication will be administered properly and he will be well taken care of.”

“Tara was terrific! Super fast communication, on-time, followed instructions down to every last detail, and was very attentive to our pup. I’d recommend Tara to anybody, and we will absolutely use her again in the future.”

Sean once again came in very clutch with a last second booking over a holiday weekend! The level of care and communication he has when watching our dogs is greatly appreciated. Feels very good knowing I have a reliable dog sitter in the neighborhood who cares this much about my dogs. I’d recommend Sean to anyone in the greenpoint area (and beyond if Sean is willing to commute 😅)

Elise is so thorough and patient with our energetic little pup! Finn can be a handful and Elise was so great about following the training outlines we had in place for him, and giving him lots of love and fetch. She also kept us updated regularly. He already can't wait to see her again soon!

Natalia took great care of my two dogs Theo and Koda while was was traveling!!! I would definitely recommend her to anybody looking for a pet sitter! She sent the cutest pictures of my dogs during the visit, was responsive, and was very trustworthy and caring!

Chase was awesome! He was so great with our dog and cat - they loved him. He stopped by our apartment a few times to feed, walk and play with them while we’re were away for a long day. Was always responsive and sent thorough check-ins, would highly recommend and book in the future!

Jessica watched our bulldog, Max, twice this summer and was amazing! She took such great care of him and always communicated with us. We looked forward to her pictures and felt such a relief knowing he was with Jessica. We look forward to booking again with her next time we go away.

Bridget is an amazing dog sitter! I really appreciate her attention to detail and the thoughtful care she gives my dog. She is reliable, attentive, and clearly takes her role seriously. I always feel confident knowing my dog is in such great hands. Highly recommend Bridget!

Ri is so fantastic. She does such a great job with my senior dog, making him feel extra loved. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
