About: I care deeply for animals and feel pure joy and a sense of purpose when I exercise them. Their mental state and well-being is just as important as ours, but it's up to us humans to maintain it! I grew up with labs, a golden retriever and an Irish wolfhound. Several neighbors, friends and family members have relied on me for drop ins, walks and weekend stays for their dogs and cats since I was a young teen. I also volunteered and later worked at an educational nature center for kids in my hometown and have experience handling and feeding birds, rabbits and reptiles. I am available most weeknight evenings (5:30 pm and after) and flexible Fri-Sun. You can always send a request even if it shows I'm unavailable, I will always try to shift things around in my schedule for Rover if I can! I will respond quickly too. I am unable to house animals in my current space, but when I introduce myself to a new animal in his/her home, I will let them approach me and get down at their level. I have learned that body language and tone very much matters.

About: Moving to NYC in September from Minneapolis where I have have been watching dogs for the last year and a half while working remote. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in May 2020 and have a dog back home in Wisconsin who is 10 years old and a Havanese. I would walk hi daily and care for him when I was back home and would love to hang out and care for dogs while working remote. I also have a few dogs I consistently watch in my apartment building and as well as being a constant go-to when friends need a sitter. I am extremely motivated and passionate. I also have a lot of flexibility with work from home this year which means I have a lot of availability. I have missed hanging and caring for my dog since moving out and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to make some additional money and also hang out with animals! My basement-level apartment has a private, fully enclosed outdoor open-sky patio with direct sliding-door access for easy care, play, and sunbathing. I’ve fostered dogs before and share my home with Jasper, my friendly 5-year-old corgi, who loves canine company (we do a meet-and-greet before every booking to make sure everyone’s comfortable). I work from home full-time and go gig work on the side. My work and career are flexible to meet the needs of those who are looking for a treat extra support and care! I can easily adapt to any needs for care. Since I work from home, pups can stay out and about with me all day. We take multiple walks throughout the day around the neighborhood and/or the block which is very dog friendly. Additionally, there is a park within 10 minutes walk and a dog park within 10 minutes walk however we typically will stay on our back patio and do treat dispensing play toys, splash pad days, or general lounging. The patio is where the pups love to explore and lay out on in the sun. It is cleaned off daily and deep cleaned weekly.
