Availability
** Dates must be confirmed before you submit a request for booking. For my availability, you may take a look at my calendar on my sitter profile. Thank you! ** I'm booked out until April minus a few dates, and looking to book the summer busy season! I am considering going on hiatus after summer so I am not fielding inquiries about dates after August. If you are an established regular client, please inquire about booking at my 2025 rate and I'd be glad to accommodate you! Pet care is currently my only, full-time job. If you require an extended stay or constant care, I am your person.

Safety, trust & environment
I am mostly booked for sits in the client's home, so I try to keep things as close to the same as if the owners were home as possible. When booking me, don't hesitate to spare no detail as to what your dogs preferences and daily routines are - I am beyond glad to accommodate. I do not do off-leash walking at all. Each dog's relationship with and trust toward a person is different and the dog's safety is the most important thing in my book. I have experience with traditional leashes, pinch collars, and slip leads. I will not walk on retractable leashes as they break often, creating an escape risk.
Information Caroline G. would like to know about your pet
*** Any cameras that will be used on site during the sit need to be disclosed beforehand, at the Meet and Greet. *** I will ask a lot of questions about your dogs trying to get to know them and see if we are a fit. Please have any of the following info avail at the meet and greet, if applicable: - Allergies and sensitivities - Anxiety and anxious behaviors - Temperament (are they reactive? What are their triggers? High energy?) - Equipment used - Medications - Actions/motions/places to avoid on walks And anything else you would like to include!
A typical day
I am very flexible, adaptable, and consider pet care to be a learning experience no matter how long I do it. Normally I will wake up sometime early and prepare doggy for their first walk of the day, come back and smash breakfast together. After this, we will have plenty of cuddles or just time together to bond. By lunch, we may go for another walk and then when we get back engage in play to provide enrichment and tamp down energy levels, then spend more time bonding. In the evening, I'll go for another walk and then we can enjoy dinner after before I generally retire to laptop or a movie while they lounge. I believe in late night quick pee breaks. They keep the dog happy and I don't get awoken at 5am, so we'll shuttle out for a quick break and come back in to end our night. Again this all depends. Energy and mobility levels vary wildly from dog to dog, but you can rest assured your dog will be given meals, walks, enrichment and lots of individualized attention and affection, if they like it.

NYC's Fave Pet Auntie
Pet care experience
Hello and welcome! First and foremost I want to thank you for visiting my profile. Your interest means everything to me and helps keep me doing the job I love! I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, and I've been on Rover for two years and counting. I've learned so much in such a short time and built meaningful connections with so many dogs and their owners. This is my full-time job and I take it seriously - with over 100 5🌟 reviews and over a third of my total customers being repeat clients, you will be glad to know your dog is in good hands. I consider myself to be like an "auntie" to pets: I come in, give a big warm hello, spoil your dog with cuddles, treats and praise while making sure to adhere to pet parents' rules, make their time away from you as sweet, fun and joyful as I possibly can, and then hand them back well loved. I genuinely have never met a pet I didn't enjoy and click with right away and I believe it is our job as humans to be a sweet, patient and guiding force to pets as we navigate the world side by side. Disclaimer: I am not a trainer or behaviorist - just a sitter! I'm glad to work with pet parents on maintaining already existing training protocols and using commands/routines that are known, and I am skilled at positive reinforcement training with dogs, but if your dog shows signs of destructive anxiety or resource based aggression, your best bet would be to book a behaviorist or someone with a training background and tools. Due to personal reasons, I no longer accept last minute bookings and require at least two days' notice before booking a sit. I'm pretty firm on this policy but if you are desperately in need of a last minute sitter, I may be able to accommodate for a fee.

Reviews

Caroline is so attentive and communicative! Really lucky to have found her for my special needs pup

Caroline is absolutely amazing, and our two big senior babies loved her. We have one exuberant dog and one very shy dog and both took to her immediately. There’s nothing like traveling and having the peace of mind that comes from having someone reliable, professional, & trustworthy like Caroline to take care of your babies and stay in your home. During our 5 day trip she sent lots of photos and updates each day. She ensured both dogs got the attention they needed and really understood the needs of our shy girl. She kept them on their walk and feeding schedule which was so appreciated. She was also wonderful to have in our home. Our home felt even cleaner than how we left it. Thank you again so much Caroline, the babies can’t wait for us to go on another trip so then can hang out with you!

I was in NYC for a couple days and needed a dog sitter at the hotel, Caroline was on time, took Daisy out for walk, played with her and gave her lots of cuddles. Will use her again next time I am in the area.

Caroline was wonderful watching our two dogs for the weekend! They have separation anxiety and I always feel nervous leaving them but she set me at ease right away with her professionalism and expertise. During our trip she was super responsive and sent lots of photos — I could tell she was keeping them to their normal schedule which was super sweet and appreciated. Plus, she left our apartment neat as a pin even though we got home earlier than I initially communicated. I would book her again any time!
