About: I recently said goodbye to my 18-year-old senior pup who was still as active and playful as when he was a puppy, even in his last weeks with us. I was his main caretaker since we adopted him when I was 10-years-old, so I have plenty of experience caring for dogs and prioritize keeping them safe and happy! We also had other dogs growing up, so I am used to caring for multiple dogs, dogs of various ages and sizes, and dogs of all energy levels. Specifically, as my doggo aged, I gained a lot of experience with medicine routines, slower walks, attention to health details, and all other requirements of caring for senior dogs. In college, I would housesit for families with all kinds of pets (including rabbits, geese and chickens!) and this helped me pay part of my school costs. However, I enjoyed caring for other's pets so much, I have continued to do so for years after college! I love getting to know new furry friends and making sure they are happy, exercised, well-fed, and enjoying themselves while their parents are away! I am currently working part-time, and often only for a few hours in the evening, so I have lots of time and flexibility to care for you pup, prioritizing being available for prime walking hours in the sunshine! I am willing to work around my part-time hours to meet your dog's routine needs. I am willing to care for the dogs in your home so they are comfortable in their own spaces and can generally keep their normal routines. I am flexible and willing to follow any instructions about your space that you provide.

About: Hi! My name is Mark, and I'm currently a Master's student at Columbia University. I recently relocated to New York City and have been missing my cat, Zuko, and my dog, Jango, every day. I'm hoping to fill that pet-shaped void by caring for other people's furry family members through Rover! Dog Experience: I adopted my dog, Jango, about a year ago after fostering him through a local rescue organization. He was being fostered by my downstairs neighbor, and we formed an instant connection that quickly turned into a forever home. Like many young rescue dogs, Jango came with plenty of energy and a few mischievous habits—especially when it came to sniffing out unattended food (that's the Dachshund nose at work!). Since adopting him, I've invested countless hours into positive reinforcement training, consistency, and building good household manners. Friends and family have even commented on how much calmer and more well-behaved he's become. Because of that experience, I understand the importance of patience, routine, and prevention when caring for energetic dogs. I'm happy to reinforce the training and routines you're already using while providing your pup with plenty of exercise, attention, and love. Cat Experience: I adopted my cat, Zuko, when he was just 8 weeks old back in 2019 while I was in college. He's now a happy, healthy 6-year-old! As a first-time cat owner, I spent a lot of time researching feline nutrition, enrichment, and overall health to make sure he had the best care possible. Over the years, Zuko has had a few visits to the vet for urinary health concerns, so I've become familiar with recognizing early signs that something may be wrong and understand the importance of monitoring litter box habits. While he's now spoiled with an automatic litter box and feeder, I'm very comfortable caring for cats with traditional litter boxes, food and water bowls, and daily playtime and affection. I am currently a full-time Master's student at Columbia University on the Upper West Side, with classes Monday through Thursday. During the week, I'm available for evening walks, drop-in visits, or overnight house sitting after classes, and I'm happy to spend the rest of the evening keeping your pet company. My schedule is much more flexible from Friday through Sunday, allowing me to provide multiple walks, extended drop-in visits, or house sitting with full-time presence. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you're away. I always strive to follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy in their own environment. I pride myself on being adaptable. While I have extensive experience caring for my own pets, I've also looked after many friends' and family's cats and dogs. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and that every owner has their own preferences for how their pet is cared for. I'm committed to following your pet's routine as closely as possible, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, or simply giving them the type of attention they enjoy most. About: Hey! I have always been a dog lover. I take care of your fur-child as my own! Dogs are family and honestly every dog I have cared for has a special place in my heart. I am currently living in a nice animal friendly and smoke free apartment in River rd, Edgewater. And river rd has plenty good walking paths and dog parking. I live taking daily walks and i love making it great with our buddies. I know how hard it is to find someone trustworthy for your dogs and I assure you they will be in good hands! I'll walk with them, lay with them, play with them. Pamper them with treats! About: I’ve been taking care of cats when I was teenagers. My first cat was 17 years old. I just got my new cat, I bought everything for my cat. I am good with keeping everything as clean as possible, vacuum everyday. I also have experience taking care of small dogs. I took care of my step daughter's two Yorkshire Terrier dogs when she was travelling, One of them is more than 10 years old. I fed the dogs and clean the dog's face, comb their hair, play with them. It was fun time. They like me more than my husband, haha. I’m free after work, I work at Wall street Manhattan, living near Fort Lee NJ. I will be available after work Monday to Friday, weekends will be more flexible. I bought everything automatic for my cat. The automatic litter box, I clean it every day. Water fountain has filter, I wash and change the water every 3 to 4 days with boiled water (cooling down) due to my cat only has one kidney. Cat food, I feed him with wet can food twice a day and with dry food automatic feeding. I mix different cat food due to his sensitive stomach.
