Hi there! My name is Ashley and I have a wide range of experience working with all types of animals including cats, dogs, fish, birds and small animals. This also includes senior animals, who might need a special routine to keep them comfortable. As someone who has raised large, high drive/high activity dogs myself, I am also ideal for owners with strong pets and/or pets with behavioral issues or "quirks" that they need someone they can trust to manage safely! I have historically owned German Shepherd Dogs, Siberian Huskies, and cats myself, and have spent significant time around many other types of all sizes from the tiny to the giant. I am a rather knowledgeable and well informed pet owner (in my opinion!) and have a relatively good understanding of body language, boundaries and needs. I am happy to provide services for reactive, fearful, and anxious dogs as well. As for cats - I myself have several rescues cats and one Maine Coon, and my family in general are big cat people (my twin brother has seven!), so it is safe to say I have experienced all types of temperaments and needs. After fourteen long years, my own dog has sadly passed on, and so I am opening up my availability for house sitting. I do work entirely remotely, so for house sittings I can guarantee that I will be present for the majority of the stay, although I do ask that I am not completely confined and have the option to step out for lunch, etc. For house sits, I am happy to perform light cleaning with your permission and supplies, such as cleaning off counters, vacuuming, and/or mopping before you return, watering plants, picking up packages that arrive while you're away, etc. Please note - for cleaning, I typically only do this with express permission to ensure I am not overstepping. I will follow all guidelines and routines we discuss prior to the service to make sure everyone is safe and happy! Any issues or quirks to be aware of we will discuss at length to ensure you're comfortable I can handle them.

Schedule
I work full time remotely, so I can guarantee that I will be present for house sittings the majority of the time. However, I do ask that I am able to step out for lunch, exercise, etc. if needed, and I will follow recommended times (i.e. no longer than x hours). If I am aware of any reason I might need to step away for longer, I will communicate to you prior to confirming the sit so that you can decide if it will work for you. For active dogs, I will usually trade my exercise time for their long walks! I love long walks, and will happily bring (willing) dogs along.
