“I am so grateful Vanessa was able to watch our dog, Charlie. Charlie is my baby and I was very anxious to leave her with a sitter over the 4th of July as Charlie hates fireworks. Vanessa was a gem and stayed home and comforted Charlie, which made me feel so much better about having to be gone over the holiday for work. About: I have always been so passionate about dogs and taking care of dogs. Growing up I volunteered at a local shelter (shout out to Best Friends Animal Shelter! Also where I adopted my dog!) and absolutely loved it. I have always found such fulfillment and joy taking care of dogs and I feel truly confident I am a great dog sitter. I am also the main caretaker for my dog Bode (pictured in the profile pic!) and have taken care of friends and family’s doggies whenever was needed. From training and playing, to grooming and bathing, I am your girl! I am currently a student from home and a yoga instructor so I am flexible! I would be open to discussing any scheduling requests with you :) My goal as a dog sitter is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for the pets in my client’s home. I will be sure to follow any instructions as to feeding routines as well as ensure there is always fresh water accessible for them. I love any playtime/physical activity as well such as playing fetch and going on walks. I am totally equipped to handle any bathroom situation your pet has as well as being able to monitor their bathroom break needs. Any health care needs as well will be taken very seriously, whether it’s giving medication, changing bandages, or providing any treatments I ensure the pet’s health needs are met! I will keep a close eye for any signs of distress or disconcerting behavior and be sure to notify the owner promptly. Lastly, I offer companionship and comfort to these pets in the absence of their owners.

About: I’ve always been surrounded by dogs, whether it’s my sister’s or my cousin’s dog. As a nurse, I already have the compassion and caretaking qualities. If you’ll entrust your best friend to me, I’ll give them plenty of love and care. I’m a night shift nurse working three shifts a week. I’m always trying to take advantage of the daytime to catch some sun- hopefully your dog will join me in those times on a sweet stroll. A firm believer in touching grass, I’d dedicate my stretches of days off when I’m not working to take your furfriend out for some much deserved playtime! I live in an apartment that is dog friendly. My home has plenty of space albeit a one-bedroom unit. There is a security system built into place as well.

“Because of Susan, a wonderful human being, a loving dog sitter - we were able to enjoy our long trip. I never imagined leaving my baby with a sitter because he is a picky eater and a spoiled dog. This was his first time in 6 years without us. But I was not worried because Pluto was in good hands. About: I have grown up caring for many different types of dogs, from puppies to rescues. Most recently, I had the privilege of caring for a my favorite fella, a collie, until his final days as a senior at 16 years old. Since his passing I have not yet rescued another baby, but I spend time volunteering as a Level 2 Dog Companion at ACC. I have completed Fear Free Trainings with the Shelter as well as various other trainings that involve caring for, navigating, and managing more complicated dog behaviors that include leash reactivity, dog reactivity, fear and anxiety, shyness, among others. Notes about my specific availability: Wednesday and Thursday: from 3-6pm only and intermittently Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 11am -3pm only I just finished my doctoral degree and teach part-time. My teaching schedule typically resides Mon - Thursday at varying times. I spend much of the rest of my free time working at home or taking walks in the city. When caring for a visiting dog, I devote the majority of my time engaging with them. I do not have a yard and live in an apartment. I have taken the extra effort to provide toys, and a bed for visiting friends. I am attentive to potential hazards and take the extra effort to dog proof before a visitor. The few small plants that I have are pet safe, and I only use pet safe products in my home.
