About: I recently said goodbye to my 18-year-old senior pup who was still as active and playful as when he was a puppy, even in his last weeks with us. I was his main caretaker since we adopted him when I was 10-years-old, so I have plenty of experience caring for dogs and prioritize keeping them safe and happy! We also had other dogs growing up, so I am used to caring for multiple dogs, dogs of various ages and sizes, and dogs of all energy levels. Specifically, as my doggo aged, I gained a lot of experience with medicine routines, slower walks, attention to health details, and all other requirements of caring for senior dogs. In college, I would housesit for families with all kinds of pets (including rabbits, geese and chickens!) and this helped me pay part of my school costs. However, I enjoyed caring for other's pets so much, I have continued to do so for years after college! I love getting to know new furry friends and making sure they are happy, exercised, well-fed, and enjoying themselves while their parents are away! I am currently working part-time, and often only for a few hours in the evening, so I have lots of time and flexibility to care for you pup, prioritizing being available for prime walking hours in the sunshine! I am willing to work around my part-time hours to meet your dog's routine needs. I am willing to care for the dogs in your home so they are comfortable in their own spaces and can generally keep their normal routines. I am flexible and willing to follow any instructions about your space that you provide.

I've never used Rover before and have a 7 month old kitten- Amy was incredible this last week for us, even through new years eve and new years day. She was so considerate and came before booking twice to meet peanut, once when we first booked and again a few weeks later before we left for our trip. She took pictures every day and sent it to us, which made my day. In the pictures I can tell my cat loves her and she came out when shes usually afraid of people. I'm so glad we found Amy and I cannot recommend her enough. ❤”

About: Hello!! I am an absolute dog lover, I’ve dog-sit for friends and family including feeding, walking, and playing with their animals! Im very attentive to detail and making sure feeding and walking stays consistent with their daily schedule. I have experience with very high energy dogs as I’ve primarily taken care of dogs from the range of 1-3 years old. I’m free all days of the week from early mornings to late evenings. I am also available to do multiple walks throughout the day if needed. While I am not providing care in my own home I would typically clean up, make sure there is nothing that is of danger to the dogs. I also will remove any food or drink off my counters, typically for the larger dogs that may be able to reach them.

About: I adopted my first dog 8 years ago and I also worked at a dog shelter when I was 12 years old washing the dogs and cleaning their crates and walking them and playing with them. I am currently a college student residing at home. My schedule is pretty flexible . I can be available most days of the week. I just need a day notice. I am offering dog walking services in the area and I have a fenced yard. I am open to come to you and walk by your place.

Having the trust of an animal is a privilege and a blessing and I do not take these things for granted 💙 I work part time at a fitness studio and substitute teach. I’d love to pop by and check on your furry loved ones or take your pooch for a walk before or after work or on weekends when I’m not with my own cat 🐈‍⬛ I love guidance and instructions - if you leave them, I’ll follow them to a ‘T’. About: I have fostered a 4 month old poodle for 2 months. I’d say I personally have more experience babysitting than pet sitting but that being said, I have a huge heart for nurturing and caring I am currently working a part time job but my schedule is pretty flexible so I have a lot of time on my hands! My daily/weekly routine just consists of working and hanging out with friends! Unfortunately I can not host pet sitting at my home for my land owner doesn’t allow pets inside, but if I were to work at your home, I would act accordingly with respect!

“Lee is an amazing dog sitter and walker -- over the course of almost 2 years we worked with Lee in NY as our primary sitter/walker. He was incredibly responsive via text, the app or otherwise. With walking he walked my Dane - Ryan 2-5 times a week and would flex to show up when I was often late at the office. Lee also stayed at my home with Ryan often - he was clean, respectful of the space an totally attentive to my pup. My roommate mentioned rarely noticing he had even been there. When Lee wasn't available he had friends on recommendation who were amazing and even went out of his way to hand off his set of keys to them. Lee became such a part of Ryan's life often he was more excited when Lee arrived than when I did! We've since moved to LA and will miss him greatly!”

About: Hi! I'm a college student working toward vet school, so caring for animals isn't just a job for me, it’s what I genuinely love doing. I've had my own cat for 5 years, so I know what it's like to be a pet parent. I've also spent plenty of time watching other people’s dogs and cats, from very high energy puppies to older dogs who just want a quiet environment. I'm comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. If something’s wrong I will reach out immediately. Since I'm on summer break, I have a pretty open schedule, but I do like to be upfront about my specific availability. I'm available Monday through Friday all day. On Saturdays, I'm available after 4:00 PM. I can also do evening visits, but I wrap things up by 10:00 PM. My schedule is pretty open until I start class the 28th of August. I will have class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11am to 1:45pm and Fridays from 10am to 1:45pm. I know routines are really important to pets, so I'll work around whatever schedule your pet is used to, like midday walks, afternoon play sessions, or evening check-ins before bed. Consistency is very important! I only provide care in your home because I believe that pets are more comfortable in their own environment, with their own things and smells. I'm really careful with doors or any gates and will always make sure to double check every exit to make sure your pet stays safely inside. I will treat your home the way I'd want mine treated, I will clean up after myself, wash any bowls I use, and leave things tidy. I'll also send any updates/photos at every visit so you can see how things are going. I will also save your vet's contact info, just in case of any emergency. I always like to be prepared for anything.

I've been lucky enough to share my life with some very special dogs, including a poodle who lived an incredible 21 years and, most recently, my beloved Boston Terrier, Skye. Skye was deaf, and caring for her gave me years of experience with alternative communication and dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I recently lost her to cancer, and while I miss having my own little companion tremendously, I'd love the opportunity to give some of that same care and affection to other dogs. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's individual personality and routine. I'm an avid walker, so I'm happy to accommodate dogs who love getting their steps in, but I'm equally happy spending time with senior or lower-energy pups who prefer a slower pace and plenty of companionship. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I'll always treat your dog and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I'm attentive, patient, dependable, and happy to follow detailed instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines, medications, or any other individual needs. I live in Bergen County, am very close to NYC, have reliable transportation, and am happy to provide regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I work from home full time, therefore I am available during all day/night hours during the week. It is very easy to make a schedule to accommodate you! For weekend requests, please reach out at least 24-48 hours ahead for availability confirmation. I can happily provide pet care on weekends as well, please let me know ahead of time please to ensure my schedule is cleared out for your furry friend! A brief conversation regarding your pets is preferred prior to initial visit to ensure we are covering pets needs and your expectations. Your pet will be treated like my own. They are family members, and deserve nothing less. Photo and text updates will be provided throughout my time with them. Please note I am not able to provide boarding in my home due to pet restrictions in my building, but I would be happy to pet sit at your home during the day/overnight/vacations!
