“Rachel really helped me with my dog and cat during a difficult time, she walked my dog Petey twice without being asked, out of concern for him. She cares about Petey and Busker. ❤️”

“Alexa is responsible, trustworthy, and a quality pet sitter. She has taken care of my cat on two separate occasions and both times I was impressed by how attentive and communicative she was. She even made sure to let me know when my house was getting too warm for my cat so that we could adjust the AC. I highly recommend her!”
“I can’t recommend Philsung enough! They took exceptional care of my dog while I was away. My dog was happy, healthy, and well-exercised, and I received regular updates and photos that put my mind at ease. Philsung truly went above and beyond, showing genuine love and care for my furry friend. It’s clear they have a passion for animals and a professional approach to pet sitting. I will definitely be using their services again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

About: I have fostered a 4 month old poodle for 2 months. I’d say I personally have more experience babysitting than pet sitting but that being said, I have a huge heart for nurturing and caring I am currently working a part time job but my schedule is pretty flexible so I have a lot of time on my hands! My daily/weekly routine just consists of working and hanging out with friends! Unfortunately I can not host pet sitting at my home for my land owner doesn’t allow pets inside, but if I were to work at your home, I would act accordingly with respect!
“Binta was a wonderful sitter for my Cleo! I appreciate how she took the time to get to know Cleo and wrote meaningful updates. Cleo is a shy, reserved girl but Binta was able to get through to her! I hope to book with Binta again in the future. Thanks for everything, Binta!!”

About: 33 year old looking to earn a little extra money while working remotely full time. I'm a huge dog/animal lover! I always grew up with dogs and helped watch/take care of them. I also helped watch, walk, and take care of friends' dogs, and used to walk for Wag, so I have lots of experience with it. Your dog will get lots of love and attention from me, and all the play time he/she needs. I work remotely, so I am somewhat open for walks! I just cannot commit to anything super consistent. I’m available for more occasional walks or visits I am currently not allowed to bring dogs to my rental apartment. I’m happy to listen to your instructions on caring for them in your home
“Emily was a great communicator and excellent drop in sitter for our cat, Charlie, while we were away for the weekend! We are definitely looking forward to having her help again!”

“Stephanie takes really good care of the puppy and is respectful of the space. She consistently shares messages about the time she spent with the puppy and is a quick responder. Stephanie is amazing!”

“Kristina is the best cat sitter we have ever had! She’s simply wonderful and takes such good care of our little guy. Her communication is fabulous and she’s just an all around lovely person 💗✨ Don’t hesitate to hire her - there is nobody better!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been caring for them for over 24 years. In addition to helping friends and family with their pets, I’ve volunteered in animal shelters and gained experience with many different dogs. I treat every dog with patience, care, and respect. I work full-time, but pet care fits well into my routine. I’m available for care during weekdays and fully available on weekends. I always make time to give dogs proper attention, walks, and consistency. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow each dog’s routine closely, keep doors and leashes secure, and supervise interactions at all times. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment.
“My dear Adriana. It was a pleasure to count with your services to take care of Scar and Nena. Adriana not only treated my dogs with love but also took care of my home and left it neat and tidy. Looking forward to work with you again since I saw how much love and dedication you put towards our pets.”

“Selina did a fantastic job with taking our girl for a walk! She was able to respond quickly and be flexible to our needs, and was communicative throughout the process. We will definitely use her again!”

“My first time booking with a sitter for my two cats while taking a week long vacation. Ambroja went above and beyond to accommodate my girls and kept me updated every step of the way. So very thankful for her. Super professional, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

About: Hi there! I’ve always loved animals and am lucky enough to have a cat of my own, Kitty, who has been with me for 6 years! I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, but rest assured, I will love them as if they are my own! Your pet will be in good hands with me and I’m excited for the chance to meet them! Pet care is a priority in my schedule! I am home most of the week and during the day so I’m very flexible on time. I love to stay active so also willing to do frequent walks or play outside with your pet. I have one cat in my home and am very careful with ensuring her safety and health - she is well-maintained and clean (e.g., brushing, cleaning teeth, trimming nails) and spayed. Just let me know if your pet has any specific needs, allergies, or anything in particular to be aware of! I’m someone who loves to take photos of my cat so if you want frequent updates on your pet, I’m happy to do that too!
“Arina was great with my dogs! She was able all three of them and would highly recommend her for anyone worried about getting a sitter for multiple animals!”

“Our young dog has separation anxiety, she screams and jumps at the door the entire time when we leave her alone. I'm so thankful we found Amanda so that we could have an evening out without worrying about what was happening at home. We loved getting updates and photos throughout the evening. The experience exceeded our expectations and we will use her again in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Ksenia! I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had a big Newfoundland dog along with cats, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. Today, our home is still full of animals. We have a cockapoo, a bunny, and two guinea pigs, so caring for pets is truly part of my everyday routine. I take this responsibility seriously and always treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits easily into my weekday routine. I enjoy calm, relaxed care and focus on being reliable, present, and consistent. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I follow any instructions carefully and make sure dogs are walked calmly and securely. I’m attentive, respectful of your home and routine, and always keep pets supervised. I communicate clearly and want pet parents to feel fully comfortable and confident while their pet is in my care.

Vanessa has cared for my kitty, Boo, many times. This time, she came out to care for him in terrible weather: 100-degree heat and downpours. Always on time, reliable, and communicative, Vanessa takes detailed notes and lots of pictures, which keep me informed of how Boo is doing. I have complete peace of mind that my kitty is well cared for while I am away. I highly recommend Vanessa to care for your prt.

I came back to two perfectly fed, well groomed, happy kitties cats and a very clean apartment. She always sent detailed text, lots of pictures and Videos updates every day. She is punctual, sweet and gentle. She loves animal with all of her heart and beyond. Cant thank her enough

Ariel is incredibly reliable. She loves cats and they clearly love her. I was worried my old lady wouldn't accept medication from a stranger, but Ariel charmed her instantly. We got timely notifications of every drop by, with beautiful writeups that made us confident we left our girl in good hands.
Leta has been a god send for us! She has taken care of our cat for about 6 months now and I don’t know what we would do without her. Incredibly responsive and flexible, always takes great care of our cat, and is communicative throughout her stay. Takes great pics and detailed report cards too! On several occasions I’ve changed plans on a dime and Leta has always been very understanding and accommodative. Thanks Leta!

First time Lindsay babysat my two fur babies. She was a great communicator in all ways - and Mingus and Jacques agreed based on all the photos sitting on her lap and generally looking very chill and happy. Apartment was spotless upon returning home. Lindsay is a mature and trustworthy catsitter and I highly recommend her!

Wen does such a good job with our cat Lani that we keep coming back to her again and again. We come home to a happy kitty every single time, and this time was no exception! We were in the Seattle area for 6 days and Wen kept us updated on how Lani was doing, which was such great peace of mind. Thanks Wen!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Lee. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
