“Valerie did pickup/drop offs for my one year old lab. She was always punctual, responsive and took lots of pictures to assure he was home safe. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Hi Im CeeCee (30). Leaving your baby, is already anxiety inducing, and frustrating as it is. And finding a trusted sitter just adds more to the mental load. With that being said, I make it my business to provide the most reassurance to You and your baby that there will be nothing but love and cuddles while you’re away. I have worked with animals since 2015 getting my start at Camp Bow Wow in Elmwood park and have worked at many prestigious hospitals in multiple states since. I love animals whether it’s cats/dogs or birds and reptiles. They are all so amazing to me. Grooming and distributing medication can be done at your request. I dont mind large dogs at all. Puppies are also welcome. I love to exercise, so your pup and I shall be doing some running around outside. Photography is my side hobby so please be prepared to be flooded with lots of pictures. All pups will go on 3-4 walks a day. More walk can be requested. Am walks: 6-7 am Afternoon walks: 12pm-1pm Pm walks:6pm-7pm Late late walks: 11pm-12am I treat all fur babies how I’d want my own to be treated. In case of emergency I live very close to multiple animal hospitals.
About: Hi my name is Layla I am a full time college student that works part time as a CSR at a veterinary clinic. I have experience as a vet assistant and volunteer work with rescues. I also own a shihpooh of my own name Gio. I’m currently working part time and am a full time student. My school schedule is mainly asynchronous classes and my work schedule is pretty set so, I have a lot of flexibility time to be able to care for your babies. I have a crate in my home that my dog is very comfortable in we have crate trained him to love his crate. In the clients home I reiterate training that they are doing with their pet and go off of body language of their pet to make them as comfortable as possible.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have always had a deep love and connection with them. While I don’t currently own a dog, I regularly care for my cousin’s dog here in New Jersey — walking, feeding, and keeping him company. I’m attentive, responsible, and genuinely passionate about animals. Your furry friend will feel right at home with me! I currently work as a secretary from 12pm to 5pm on weekdays, so I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits in the mornings before noon and after 5pm on weekdays. I have more flexibility on weekends and can accommodate house sitting when needed! Your pet’s safety is my top priority. Since I offer walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I’m punctual, communicative, and will send regular photo updates throughout every visit so you always know your pup is happy and safe!
“Phil is such an incredibly kind and caring pet sitter! He was an amazing communicator and we looked forward to all of his pet updates and pictures. We had a pretty long instruction guide as we have four pets (including kittens), and he navigated everything with enthusiasm and ease. Definitely recommend Phil!!🐶🐱”

“We have booked Jalisa several times and she has always been wonderful. She is great with our pack of pups (we've never left her with less than 2 and sometimes as many as 4 dogs) and reliably keeps in touch with great pictures. I recommend Jalisa highly.”

“I booked Hallie to care for Nyla . I was extremely happy with the care and time Hallie spent with Nyla. In the future I will be booking Hallie to dog sit . I highly recommend others to book Hallie. Thank you Jimmy”

About: I have had pets since I can remember, I love and respect them, I care for them and I love them as a part of our nature, we come to share this earth with them and love each other. I'm taking a sabbatical after many years of working in my own company, I want to share my free time with animals and give them love during the week. I have a huge house, with a huge space where pets can play , feed and feel very comfortable, also have a clean yard. Your pets will feel at home.
“One of the best sitters out there! Very professional and sweet. Helped my Mollie out by giving her meds when it was storming and I was at work. Daily pictures. Very understanding with schedule changes. My pups love her dearly! I can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend!”
“Andrew takes great care of our 2 cats. He always replies quickly, was very thoughtful during our meet and when taking care of our cats. We have been away with peace of mind thanks to him”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have experience helping care for my friends’ pets while they’re away, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I also adopted and currently care for my two-year-old cat, which has made my love for animals grow even more. I’m very patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and providing care for pets truly brings me joy. I always make sure pets feel loved, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me Currently, I don’t start school until July, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to caring for pets. I’m able to give them lots of attention, playtime, and engagement throughout the day. A schedule can be made after a quick chat. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make sure to follow their normal routine so they feel relaxed and settled while their owner is away. I pay close attention to their needs by keeping up with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and giving them affection and attention based on their personality. I also make sure pets get plenty of engagement, patience, and supervision throughout the day.
“Scarlett is wonderful! We will continue to trust her with our boy as long as she continues to dog sit! She is reliable, attentive & our dog absolutely loves her. She has also helped us when we’ve needed help at the last minute and we are so appreciative!”

“Maia was very attentive to our cats. She put me at ease that our 2 elderly cats were well cared for. Her daily reports and pictures of the cats were thorough. I will reach out to her again if we need help with our cats, and I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone. Thank you, Maia.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Englewood
Luna was s great sitter for our 4 cats! She was so kind and they took to her right away. They are usually very shy with strangers but she won them over. I will be using her again on our next vacation. She was able to give them their insulin shots and we had no worries about our babies while we were away.

Dominick is a wonderful sitter. An extreme cat lover who is dependable and great with cats. He went beyond the call of duty during his last visit with her cat Maxie taking special care of her and bringing her soft food to help her eat. I would highly recommend Dominick!

I know this is my second review, but it’s my second time using Shaun, and I don’t think you can ever thank someone enough when they put your mind so at ease when you have to leave behind our furry babies and we don’t want too… and know they are so well taken care of by Shaun!

Binta was a wonderful sitter for my Cleo! I appreciate how she took the time to get to know Cleo and wrote meaningful updates. Cleo is a shy, reserved girl but Binta was able to get through to her! I hope to book with Binta again in the future. Thanks for everything, Binta!!

This is our first time using Rover and we felt so lucky that we found Karen. Karen takes care of our pets not only with full of experience and patience, but also with love and sentiment. She’s always so considerate, thoughtful and responsive and she gets along with both of our pets so well just after a couple of visits. We trust her 100% with our pets and will definitely rebook with her next time we are out of town. I highly recommend Karen.

Rachel is an amazing sitter, she braved the elements through this snowstorm to take care of Petey and I couldn’t be more grateful. She also takes the initiative to determine what Petey needs and will walk him more than once if necessary. She lets me know that she cleaned Petey’s bowls before feeding and giving him fresh water, things that are important to me, I feel better knowing that someone is giving him the same care I would. I’m thankful to have Rachel as a person I can contact when I need help with Petey.

Philsung went above and beyond to take care of Petey. During this snowstorm, he walked the rest of the way to my apartment when his car got stuck. When you’re not able to be there with your dog, it’s a terrible feeling, I was so worried Philsung would not be able to make it there but he did. That’s reliability and dedication and a true love for animals. He is an excellent sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Englewood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
