About: I've worked via Rover for about fiver months (as of early May '26) -- during which time I've had many pleased recurring and one-time customers, have cared for a wide range of dogs, from a massive greyhound to an uncharacteristically aggressive male lab to a 20-year-old miniature requiring careful TLC. Prior to Rover, I've taken care of two family dogs who became family members, one of which I rescued from a neglectful owner. I was a hands-on dad to my son (now grown), got him the care he needed to survive and thrive as a preemie, and as a single parent knew well how to feed and change him and care for him when he was sick. As a senior, I have the experience and "seasoning" to know what's important, whether it's an infant or child or a family dog or a person with a disability or a senior like myself, and, then, how to see to it that the one in my care is well cared for, happy, and loved. Since the condo development where my wife and I live doesn't allow dogs, I take special pleasure in spending time with them at every opportunity. I come from a long line of dog lovers on my dad's side, and I proudly carry on that tradition. I keep as active as the vicissitudes of age allow, and currently am able to hike, play pickleball, and return to tennis and 5K runs, with kayaking "on deck." That fitness enables me to have what it takes to care for dogs of all ages and stages. I'm a retiree who does part-time volunteer work, both hands-on with elementary-school-aged children and legislative and policy advocacy on behalf of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My other major activities are staying in shape and learning a foreign language. These part-time gigs, and the fact that my wife works part-time, leave me enough time to do some pet care. I cannot care for pets in my home, or for that matter have a dog, because the condo development where I live does not permit dogs. I care for dogs in their owner's homes, following their owners' lead, so to speak, and according to their owners' directives. Fortunately, this means that the dogs I care for, who know their way around their own turf, do not need to adjust to new environs. As a guest myself, I am naturally inclined to treat the home where I find myself with extra care and respect, more so than I would my own home.
About: I have direct experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience. I'm comfortable with feeding routines and administering basic medications. I ensure each pet gets the exercise and care they're accustomed to. What sets me apart is my attention and love! I treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away! I’m home from college until July 24th, and I have a flexible, open schedule that lets me prioritize pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and extended stays, and I make sure pets receive consistent attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding, exercise, and any medications if needed. I’m very mindful of safety, keeping pets supervised, ensuring environments are secure, and avoiding anything that could put them at risk. I also treat your home with respect, cleaning up after myself and your pet, and leaving everything neat and tidy. I also keep communication open with updates and photos! My goal is to create a stress-free, loving environment where your pet feels at home.

About: Hi, my name is Megan! I have had dogs (and cats) all my life. I am new to the neighborhood and have a ton of free time, some of which I would be happy to fill with your furry friend! I have been working with animals professionally on this app since 2019 & am very experienced at this point. I am willing to house sit dogs or cats and walk dogs, as well. I have a pretty open schedule and a love for animals as well as staying active. Message me to discuss any further details! Taking care of dogs is great because it keeps me on a schedule. I get up early to take them out & feed them. I then plan my day around their schedule. I get them at-least three walks a day, usually at least one very long walk (over an hour). As well as dinner, play time & cuddle time. I make sure dogs are walked, fed & have enough water. When I know they have the essentials, I turn my focus to making sure they are properly stimulated with play & love. I love to cuddle & pet, which they seem to love as well! I am a very active person & enthusiastic walker & take dogs with me on these walks. I make sure they are tired when they go to sleep! Properly exercising them helps with their mood & behavior as well.

We could not be happier with Aiyesha! She took such wonderful care of our cat who was recovering from a medical issue, giving him medicine and making sure he was feeling well! We got so many photos and updates, and she left the apartment spotless. Our cat has a new best friend!

It was a pleasure having Kendall watch my 2-year old ball of energy cockapoo. My pup took to her immediately when we did a meet and greet before an evening house sit. She was on time, respectful and even took my pup out for a game of catch! I’ll definitely continue to work with her and recommend her for your pup-sitting needs!

I can’t say enough about the diligence and care that Sam provides for Clyde. He walks him daily and also babysat him for 5 days while I traveled for work (in my home). He connects with Clyde so well. I thank God everyday for his help! What a gem. Thank you, Sam!

Justyn took wonderful care of my kitten during a 9 day sit when I had to travel last minute to handle a family emergency. He was communicative, thoughtful, and very attentive to her needs. I came home to a happy kitten and an apartment exactly as I left it, which says a lot when you’re trusting someone with both your pet and your home! He even made sure small things like packages and my keys were organized for when I returned. I really appreciated the updates and how comfortable Marcy seemed the entire time. I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Heather was so helpful when i needed a sitter to stay with my dog while i went to the eye doctor. She has a delightful personality, my dog adored her instantly. Heather cheerfully followed by complex instructions about locking my fridge, locking the gate to my kitchen and locking up my apartment so Purl wouldn't get into mischief or escape the apartment. She sent me photos of Purl enjoying her company and communicated professionally. She is an excellent sitter, i am pleased to recommend her.

Carolyn did such an amazing job housesitting. I had to book last minute due to an emergency and she was at my place within an hour. My apartment looked just as it was when I left it, and Carolyn followed instructions perfectly. She was very communicative and very thoughtful with my anxious dog. I am so glad to have found her in such a pinch and will definitely be booking with her again!

Hiring Danielle to house sit our dog was definitely the right decision for my family. She is warm, responsible, attentive and reliable! She was great at keeping us up to date with what was going on with our fur baby and would respond promptly when a message was sent to her. When we got home our house was in great condition and our dog was thriving! She even left a show about birds on for him until we got home! 100/10 would definitely recommend and will be using her again!

Vincent is an awesome dog watcher! He was very flexible, professional, and kind to my dogs. He took care of a 16 year old dog and a 15 month old at the same time for several days! He catered to their individual needs and sent plenty of videos and updates. Would highly recommend.
