About: I can't remember a time when I did not have a pet in my life. Probably because there never was such a time! Mostly dogs, but, I have also been a proud cat owner. I have cared for friends' pets, and I understand that leaving your fur baby with someone requires trust. For several decades, I have chosen to adopt my animals from shelters. I can tell you that it has taught me to appreciate that every animal is different, with their own personality, quirks, routines, and needs. Our pets are part of our family. And, yes, they make mistakes at times, create messes, get into places they shouldn't. They're only human, after all! I promise to bring the same patience, care, and affection I show to my animals into every interaction I have with yours. I am available to walk your dog(s) and will be sure to take then on walks as long or short as you recommend, up to 40 minutes. I can stay and play with your pet for a while, as well. I will work within your guidelines and your pet's routine. I am also available for short overnight stays in your house. I am available for walking, playing, feeding, whatever you need. I will come to your home and am available for short overnight stays, if needed. Overnight stays will fall between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM. I am available weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Again these are somewhat normal for most dogs but my girl Hazel is usually very reserved with people at first and just likes to be snuggled up at home. About: I have fostered a 4 month old poodle for 2 months. I’d say I personally have more experience babysitting than pet sitting but that being said, I have a huge heart for nurturing and caring I am currently working a part time job but my schedule is pretty flexible so I have a lot of time on my hands! My daily/weekly routine just consists of working and hanging out with friends! Vanessa was amazing! My wife and I wanted to go out of town on short notice, and looking on Rover for someone we found Vanessa. She made us feel confident from the moment we met her that our dogs would be in good hands. She followed every instruction we had to the letter, and made sure to send us lots of pictures and updates on our dogs. She was even able to walk all three of them at one time, which is an impressive feat considering they are all over 70 pounds. We will definitely be using Vanessa again, and if you're looking for someone to watch your dogs we couldn't recommend Vanessa more!
Alexandra was amazing with our dog, Otis. She provided constant care for him, and gave us many updates while we were away. She was also very responsive, answering me immediately whenever I reached out. She was able to bond with Otis very quickly. She worked with him, gave him patience, and easily adapted to changes in his routine/diet. We came home to a happy and exceptionally cared for dog. :) We would work with Alexandra again in a heartbeat!
Dahili is fantastic with my dog--who now loves her and is completely comfortable with her--and it takes my rescue dog quite a while to trust someone. Dahili takes excellent care of her and our apartment while I am away. She is communicative, extremely professional and responsible and when she is staying with my dog, everyone is happy!!!
Marine did a wonderful job house sitting for us and taking care of Nuni for 4 days! Nuni usually takes a while to warm up to new people, but Marine made that connection with him in record time. She had exactly the right demeanor to make him comfortable enough to go on walks with her, which isn't always easy with him. I know Nuni gets pretty anxious when we're away, but I felt completely confident that Marine would keep him as comfortable and cared for as possible — and she did. She was also super communicative throughout the stay and took great care of our apartment as a respectful house sitter. We'd trust her again in a heartbeat with both our pup and our home. This is our third time with Asel and we have already scheduled our fourth house sitting with her. River took to her very quickly and Asel provided her with great care. She provided us with regular updates by text, pictures and videos. She is reliable, flexible, conscientious - and very nice! She left our apartment in pristine condition. We highly recommend her.
Dayshalis was wonderful with our cats, and a great comfort to know they were in good hands while we were out of town. This was our first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous at first, but Dayshalis made me feel very comfortable right away with how responsive, kind, thoughtful, and respectful she was. She was curious about both our cats, learning their personalities and how to best engage them and give them each what they needed. Dayshalis sent us many photos while we were gone, which were really appreciated, and I could see in the photos that the cats were not only at ease and calm, but enjoying themselves and the interactions they were having with Dayshalis. When we got home, the cats weren’t at all upset that we had been gone, as they sometimes have been with other cat sitters.
