Sierra stayed at my apartment in the BX to watch my 45lb rescue pittie for three weeks in May, and I highly recommend her! She was responsive and so generous coming all the way from NJ to meet my pup and me first and incredibly responsive before the day of. Every day she sent me text and/photo updates, and it was super clear my pup was very well cared for and loved. Coming back, pup was happy and healthy and the apartment was clean as I left it (thanks, Sierra!).

Pete is one of the best dog sitters I've ever worked with. He's very much a dog person and had an intuitive sense for how my dog Bandit was doing. He was very effective in taking care of Bandits' needs including some special medical foods and procedures required. And he's flexible -- he was able to also take care of my daughter's dog Brandy for some of the time while he was also taking care of Bandit. He also is an effective communicator and regularly sent us texts and pictures, as well as knowing when to ask questions if there might be a problem that arose. He's just very good. I highly recommend Pete (although please don't hire him when I need him). Thanks.

About: Hi! I’m Catalina, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. My dad and I used to take care of dogs together for years, and now that he’s stepped away from Rover, I’m continuing the work we both loved. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all kinds. I’ve handled everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs, I’ve cared for all types of animals, dogs, cats, small pets, and have hands-on experience with pregnant dogs, newborn puppies, and even helping deliver a litter. At home, I have a sweet female pug who is friendly with everyone, and a shy, gentle cat who keeps her space. My class schedule is Tuesdays (11 AM–5 PM), Wednesdays (1 PM–5 PM), and Thursdays (3 PM–5 PM). I’m available before and after class times and have flexible availability on other days! I always follow instructions exactly, keep communication open, and send lots of photos and updates so you feel at ease. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and loved just like they are at home. Even with my class schedule, pet care is an important part of my routine. I organize my day to make sure pets receive regular walks, feeding times, playtime, and lots of attention. Before and after classes, I’m fully available to give pets the care and companionship they need. Under my care, pets receive constant attention and structure. I create a calm, clean environment where each pet has space to relax and feel secure. I stick to their feeding and walk schedule, monitor their behavior throughout the day, and offer plenty of playtime and breaks. I also keep communication open with owners and send frequent updates. Safety, routine, and comfort are always my top priorities.

We are so grateful for the amazing care Alexandra gave our pets over Thanksgiving! She stayed in our home for a full week to look after our Rottie, Mini Schnauzer, and kitty, and she truly went above and beyond. She even checked in to ask if she could give them a little turkey on the holiday ~ which they were very excited about! Alexandra sent us pictures throughout our trip, giving us so much peace of mind, and we returned to three happy, relaxed animals. She also left our home clean and well cared for, which we deeply appreciated after traveling. We were extremely pleased with her service and will definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend! She also left our home clean and well cared for, which we deeply appreciated after a long trip. About: I’ve been a dog owner for years and have cared for pups at every stage of life—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who needed extra patience, gentleness, and consistency. I’ve raised one dog through his puppy years and lovingly supported two others through their golden years, so I’m comfortable with training basics, routines, mobility changes, medications, and slower-paced walks when needed. Over the years, friends have trusted me with their dogs while they travel, and now that I have more space in my home—and a large, fully fenced yard—I’m excited to do this regularly. My dog, Ochosi, and I love getting outside for long walks and hikes, and I’m happy to tailor activity levels to each dog’s age, energy, and needs—whether that means an adventurous trail day or a cozy afternoon of cuddles. As a bonus, my roommate is also a longtime dog lover and former dog owner, so your pup will get extra attention and affection beyond just me and Ochosi. Between our household, your dog will be surrounded by care, play, and consistency while you’re away. As an empowerment coach, I work mostly from home, which allows me to be present with the dogs I care for throughout the day. I do have occasional workshops, classes, and client visits that take me out of the house part-time, but I always plan my schedule carefully so pups get plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, and companionship. Whether caring for your dog in my home or yours, I focus on keeping routines consistent, energy balanced, and tails wagging. I tailor walks, playtime, and downtime to each pup’s age and personality—from adventurous hikes to gentle strolls and cozy evenings. With a big fenced yard for safe outdoor play, plenty of affection from me, Ochosi, and my dog-loving roommate, and regular photo updates for you, your dog will feel secure, happy, and right at home.

About: I’ve had experience taking care of dogs since I was 13. Aside from caring from my own dog, I have care for the dogs (and cats!) of family and friends, walking them, dog sitting at their homes, or dropping for walks, feeding and play time. I’ve had plenty of experience working with puppies and senior dogs, particularly with my own dog who experienced many health issues in his older years. I work from home, and have a relatively flexible schedule. That being said, my availability is largely after 3pm during the weekdays or mornings and afternoons on Saturdays, but I am able to drop in visits and walks during the day as well, schedule allowing! I typically care for pets in the pet parents home based on the pet parents guidelines. I like to ask pet parents as many questions as possible to make sure I try to maintain as close a routine as possible for the pet while they are in my care. This include walking and feeding schedules, how much playtime and what kind of playtime is allowed/encouraged, and any other specifics I should know about how to care for the pet (medication, where they sleep, how they interact with other dogs/pets, etc.)

About: Dogs have always been apart of my life since I was very young as I always enjoyed hanging out with my friends and family’s dogs. During parties, I would frequently end up gravitating towards the animals in the house more than the people. I’ve always wanted to know what exactly they’re thinking. As for my own personal experience with dog care, I have had a dog of my own (Chihuahua/Terrier Mix) for 6 years now and before that I fostered a dog (Coonhound) who was from an abused home. I work in a Public School, so on weekdays I’m available after 3PM (after 4PM on Wednesdays only) for Drop-Ins. I am available to housesit on most weekends (Fri-Sun). I love snuggling with dogs (my own dog loves a good long cuddle after he eats). When the weather is warm, I enjoy laying out a picnic blanket and sunbathing with my dog and playing with him. If your backyard is fenced in and you don’t mind, I’d love to have some leisurely outdoor time with your dog too! I just really want to hangout with some furbabies! I am attentive and always looking out to see if I’ve made my own dog uncomfortable & I will take the same care when it comes to a client’s dog. Their boundaries matter! As a small dog owner, I’m very keen on this.

About: Loyalty, trust, safety & the love for all types of animals are the key to a working pet environment. I fondly believe that a pet isn’t just a pet, but a part of the family. Luckily, I have been around dogs all my life and have been responsible for them for about 22 years. I have experience walking, sitting, along with some training. Walks with me aren’t just about potty breaks. It’s your pup’s time to get out & live life...just like us! It’s the time to work out all that built up energy and a time to be social. Belly rubs included! I currently work as a freelance hair colorist. My schedule is very flexible. I can offer drop in visits, walks, and extended stays whenever needed. My schedule is flexible, so 1 can easily fit walks, visits, or boarding into my day. I adjust to your dog's routine, making sure their normal timing, habits, and comfort stay in place. Your dog will have a safe, private environment with no unfamiliar dogs. I only board multiple dogs if they’re from the same family, so your pet’s space stays calm, consistent, and low-stress. My home stays clean, comfortable, and focused on your dog’s routine without the chaos of large group boarding.

About: In addition to having worked via Rover for about six weeks (as of March '26), with many pleased recurring and one-time cusomers, caring for a range of dogs from a massive greyhound to a two-decade-old moniature almost at hospice-level care, I've taken care of two family dogs who became family members, one of which I rescued from a neglectful owner. I was a hands-on dad to my son, and as a single parent knew well how to feed and change him and care for him when he was sick. As a senior, I've the experience and "seasoning" to know what's important, whether it's an infant or child or a family dog, and how to see to it that the one in my care is well cared for, happy, and loved. Since the condo development where my wife and I live doesn't allow dogs, I take special pleasure in spending time with them at every opportunity. I come from a long line of dog lovers on my dad's side, and proudly carry on that tradition. I'm a retiree who does part-time volunteer work, both hands-on with elementary-school-aged children and legislative and policy advocacy on behalf of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My other major activities are staying in shape and learning a foreign language. These part-time gigs, and the fact that my wife works part-time, leave me enough time to do some pet care. I cannot care for pets in my home, or for that matter have a dog, because the condo development where I live does not permit dogs. I care for dogs in their owner's homes, following their owners' lead, so to speak, and according to their owners' directives. Fortunately, this means that the dogs I care for, who know their way around their own turf, do not need to adjust to new environs. As a guest myself, I am naturally inclined to treat the home where I find myself with extra care and respect, more so than I would my own home.

About: I live with an amazing Australian Shepherd. We have so much fun together, and I truly love spending time with him — especially playing outside! I know he loves me too, and that connection has made me even more passionate about caring for animals. I work during the week, so on weekends I look for something fun that can also help me earn a little extra. Spending time with pets is something I truly enjoy — going for walks outdoors is so much better with a furry companion! Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I always make sure to follow any special instructions and keep a close eye on pets during walks and visits. I only use safe routes and love spending time outdoors in clean, pet-friendly environments. I understand how important it is to build trust — both with you and your pet — so I always communicate clearly and treat every animal like my own.

10/10 – Couldn’t Recommend Rachel More We were going away for a long weekend and needed to find a sitter who truly cared and was willing to put in the time to help our dog with separation anxiety feel comfortable. This was also a huge step for us, as we had never left our dog overnight with anyone other than family. From the very beginning, Rachel went above and beyond. She first scheduled a video chat with us to fully understand our dog’s needs and make sure she was the right fit. From there, she came 1–2 times a week for two months for hour-long visits to build trust and familiarity. Our dog does not like strangers, but Rachel had her warming up within the first month and continued working on our dog’s comfort and confidence right up until our stay. By the time we left, we felt completely confident they would do great together—and they did. We received updates three times a day with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Each day, our pup seemed to warm up more and more to her. Rachel even set up enrichment activities and went above and beyond in every way. On top of that, she also left our house spotless. Rachel is completely trustworthy, a true animal lover, and someone who puts extra time, love, and care into her clients and their pets. We are so grateful to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly, highly recommend!
