About: Hi! My name is Roisin and I have unwittingly become the go-to dogsitter for family and friends alike. I have watched a variety of dogs — very large ones who need lots of exercise, dogs with nervous stomachs, and 4-month old puppies who needed frequent potty trips in the middle of the night. While housesitting, I make a strong effort to maintain your pet’s routine — including feeding, treats (or lack thereof), walks, medication, and time playing. I am a full-time teacher, so most of my care is best scheduled for afternoons and evenings. On the weekends, I am much more able to keep my schedule open but altogether, I try to be flexible! I think it’s super important for dogs to be played with and given TLC while their families are away. It’s one thing to refill water bowls and take a dog for a walk, and an entirely other thing to make the dog feel at ease and loved. I make it a priority to spend time playing fetch or simply cuddling so you can rest knowing your dog is happy! When housesitting, I make it a goal to keep your house as you would like it! I tidy daily and will strip beds and do a deep clean of the areas I used prior to your arrical home.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and truly can’t imagine life without them. As a lifelong dog lover, I care for every pup as if they were my own. I just moved back home from Nashville, TN. Where I was consistently dog sitting in my apartment for the 4 1/2 years living there. Previously before that, I was doing it in my Hoboken apartment for 3 years. We do have a family dog, a border collie / blue heeler, Luna who is 11 years old. She is used to being around other dogs, as we previously had a husky lab as well before she passed away. Luna tends to keep to herself and only cares about her frisbee. I have extensive experience caring for dogs with special needs, including blind, deaf, and diabetic dogs and also senior dogs. I’m comfortable administering medication (including daily insulin injections) and even handling tasks like diaper/band changes. ***(Additional charge of $10 will be applied for any dogs with special needs)*** Many of the dogs I’ve cared for have anxiety or don’t do well around other dogs, so I’m very experienced in creating a calm and safe environment for them. A quick note: Rover takes a percentage of my earnings, and my rates are set with that in mind. Also, most people I meet through Rover end up booking with me directly afterward, so my repeat clients listed on the app aren’t an accurate reflection of my true base of returning families. As I also gain clients from other places as well. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have or provide references from repeat clients, both through Rover and privately. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! First thing in the morning, I take pups outside to start the day. If I have work that morning, I make sure they get a nice long walk beforehand. After work and before dinner, we go out for another walk, and then I always do a shorter one right before bedtime. On days I don’t work, I like to take longer mid-morning walks or head to the dog park (with your permission). I love spending time outdoors, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and fresh air—especially on nice days. Of course, if your pup prefers naps and cuddles over constant activity, I’m just as happy to make that part of our day too :) *currently unable to take any boarding requests* For house sitting: I’d love to care for your pets and make your home feel like a home away from home while you’re away! I’m happy to follow their normal routine with potty breaks every 4–6 hours, walks, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of attention. I’m looking for pets who are comfortable being left alone for a few hours at a time. I’ll be staying at your home throughout the booking, but I do need to be able to leave for work, errands, appointments, or other normal daily activities. I’m not the right fit for pets who require someone to be home 24/7 or who cannot be left alone at all. I want to make sure we’re a great fit from the start! About: I've been walking dogs and visiting and sitting with them in owners' homes for Rover for about eight months. During this time, I've had many highly-satisfied customers, both recurring and one-time. I have cared for a wide range of dogs -- both the large and tough ones, like a massive greyhound, an uncharacteristically aggressive male lab, and a German shepherd/Husky cross -- and the small and vulnerable ones -- a 20-year-old miniature requiring loving TLC, and a fragile Bichon Frise. Prior to Rover, I've taken care of two family dogs who became family members, one of which I rescued from a neglectful owner. I was a hands-on dad to my son (now grown), got him the care he needed to survive and thrive as a preemie, and as a single parent knew well how to feed and change him and care for him when he was sick. As a senior, I have the experience and "seasoning" to know what's important, whether it's an infant or child or a family dog or a person with a disability or a senior like myself. So I know how to see to it that the one in my care is well cared for, happy, and loved. Since the condo development where my wife and I live doesn't allow dogs, I take special pleasure in spending time with them at every opportunity. I come from a long line of dog lovers on my dad's side, and I proudly carry on that tradition. I keep as active as the vicissitudes of age allow -- I currently am able to hike, swim and play pickleball, and have returned to 5K runs, tennis and kayaking. That fitness enables me to have what it takes to care for dogs of all ages and stages. I'm a retiree who does part-time volunteer work, both hands-on with elementary-school-aged children and legislative and policy advocacy on behalf of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My other major activities are staying in shape and learning a foreign language. These part-time gigs, and the fact that my wife works part-time, leave me enough time to do some pet care. I cannot care for pets in my home, or for that matter have a dog, because the condo development where I live does not permit dogs. I care for dogs in their owner's homes, following their owners' lead, so to speak, and according to their owners' directives. Fortunately, this means that the dogs I care for, who know their way around their own turf, do not need to adjust to new environs. As a guest myself, I am naturally inclined to treat the home where I find myself with extra care and respect, more so than I would my own home.
