About: Hello! Besides having four cats and two large dogs growing up, and being the primary pet sitter for several friends and colleagues over the past ten years, I have been the primary caregiver/parent to two dogs. One, Greta, I raised from puppyhood; the other, Honey, I adopted at 12 and cared for in the final years of her life. Both of these dogs experienced medical complications: Greta was adopted with heartworm, which was cured after a strict regimen, and Honey experienced kidney failure in her old age, for which I gave her daily IVs for nearly a year. Both dogs came to me with behavioral problems, including dog aggression and separation anxiety. I was able to care for both dogs and keep them safe, and am experienced with pets with medical needs. I am experienced as a pet owner and caregiver, and will follow your instructions carefully and check in often. I work from home and would love to do so with your beloved pet by my side, where I can give them lots of pets, walks, and cuddles. I hope I get to meet your pet soon! I work from home 4/5 days a week, though I can usually work from home an entire week if needed. I will check in with your pet’s schedule, and let you know if I am able to meet their needs. As a general rule, I never leave a pet alone for more than 6 hours, but I am flexible according to your pet’s specific needs. I always leave a home I am visiting clean, and am happy to do what I can to make sure you are comfortable with me in your home. I am a lifelong New Yorker and can navigate trains and buses to your home easily. I may have access to a car shortly, if you live somewhere inaccessible by train. In my home, I keep food unreachable to pets wherever possible and have pet beds available for their use. I do not have any pets in my home at the moment. I live right next to one of the largest parks in New York City, and am happy to take your pet for walks, or even to the dog park nearby if they are comfortable with other dogs.

About: I have had a dog for the past 14 years and have been responsibility for all aspects of my pets care from walks to baths to feeding. I also have had a cat for the past 6 years and know how to care for them. I recently moved away from home and am missing my furry friends. I would love to love and care for your furry babies. I am a medical student taking classes during the week but do have some potential time for afternoon and evening walks. My weekends are more free for walks and plenty of care and play time. I always keep a safe and clean environment for my pets and your pets to live and play in. I make sure they have sufficient water, food, and are surrounded by their favorite toys.

About: I’ve owned cats and dogs and cared for others as a hobby. I can’t keep one at my current living situation but it’s therapeutic to care for them and have it be apart of a job. I can send updates throughout and don’t mind doing anything that will give piece of mind while I babysit or walk I have free time and go on walks regularly. I explained to her that our dog is still new to us and in mid-training, so she should expect the walks to be difficult and she should keep them short. While we were out, she gave us constant updates, and told us he was actually doing great on walks and they got to explore, which meant he had a really good time even though we were out. When we came back he seemed so fulfilled! Also Ellie is awesome herself and knows a lot about the Westchester area. Highly recommend.”

I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, but rest assured, I will love them as if they are my own! About: I’ve had experience taking care of dogs since I was 13. Aside from caring from my own dog, I have care for the dogs (and cats!) of family and friends, walking them, dog sitting at their homes, or dropping for walks, feeding and play time. I’ve had plenty of experience working with puppies and senior dogs, particularly with my own dog who experienced many health issues in his older years. I work from home, and have a relatively flexible schedule. That being said, my availability is largely after 3pm during the weekdays or mornings and afternoons on Saturdays, but I am able to drop in visits and walks during the day as well, schedule allowing! I typically care for pets in the pet parents home based on the pet parents guidelines. I like to ask pet parents as many questions as possible to make sure I try to maintain as close a routine as possible for the pet while they are in my care. This include walking and feeding schedules, how much playtime and what kind of playtime is allowed/encouraged, and any other specifics I should know about how to care for the pet (medication, where they sleep, how they interact with other dogs/pets, etc.)

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 12. My family and friends would ask me to pet sitting sometimes. I also trained my own dogs too I’m available weekdays before 9 and after 5 pm and weekends all day from very early to late. I don’t mind staying overnight. It’s ok for me I have toys for cats, scratches, a tower and a good space to take care of your pet without any problems. I’m also open to get some dog toys.

About: In addition to having worked via Rover for about six weeks (as of March '26), with many pleased recurring and one-time cusomers, caring for a range of dogs from a massive greyhound to a two-decade-old moniature almost at hospice-level care, I've taken care of two family dogs who became family members, one of which I rescued from a neglectful owner. I was a hands-on dad to my son, and as a single parent knew well how to feed and change him and care for him when he was sick. As a senior, I've the experience and "seasoning" to know what's important, whether it's an infant or child or a family dog, and how to see to it that the one in my care is well cared for, happy, and loved. Since the condo development where my wife and I live doesn't allow dogs, I take special pleasure in spending time with them at every opportunity. I come from a long line of dog lovers on my dad's side, and proudly carry on that tradition. I'm a retiree who does part-time volunteer work, both hands-on with elementary-school-aged children and legislative and policy advocacy on behalf of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My other major activities are staying in shape and learning a foreign language. These part-time gigs, and the fact that my wife works part-time, leave me enough time to do some pet care. I cannot care for pets in my home, or for that matter have a dog, because the condo development where I live does not permit dogs. I care for dogs in their owner's homes, following their owners' lead, so to speak, and according to their owners' directives. Fortunately, this means that the dogs I care for, who know their way around their own turf, do not need to adjust to new environs. As a guest myself, I am naturally inclined to treat the home where I find myself with extra care and respect, more so than I would my own home.
