In fact,this morning she was looking for him, and I had to convince her to eat her breakfast! Eric is also great at staying in touch. I never have to wonder how things are going as there are photos and notes to reassure me. I guess I am a helicopter pet mom, so this is great. About: Hi! My name is Christina. I grew up having a Siberian Husky named Tonya and later a Bichon Frise named Daquiri. Pets have always been a part of my life. In my early 20's I took an incentive to relocate down south where I adopted Franky, a pitbull/husky mix puppy. Anyone who knows me knows that my world revolved around my dog. If my dog couldn't come, I wasn't going. 'You won't ever see Chris without that dog, who brings a dog to a hair appointment?" Yup.. that's me. Franky had such an impact on my life that she even was responsible for steering my career. Formerly regional leadership for Banfield Pet Hospital I was responsible for Learning and Development for the largest veterinary practice in the world with over 900 hospitals in 51 markets. (Annnd... Yes, my dog got to come to work with me!) My best friends and former colleagues range from medical directors within the veterinary field to Brandon Mcmillan from CBS Lucky Dog (animal trainer). There's no shortage of emergency contacts in my phone to reach out to which came in handy when Franky, my 17yr old Pitbull/Husky was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Almost 9 months ago now I made the heart wrenching decision to have Lap of Love come to my home and end Franky's suffering when it was clear she was losing her battle with cancer. It's bringing tears to my eyes now and I don't want to be the most depressing profile which leads me to you. While i'm not quite ready for another dog of my own as no one can replace Franky, I get so much enjoyment from being around animals that watching other peoples' pets has been healing and a source of comfort. I think it's safe to say I was a little over protective and needed my own pet sitter when traveling to and from headquarters in Portland, Oregon. At the time, Deb was a God send and I was so grateful to have found someone who understood me and my pet and I hope that I can be that to you and yours! I'm excited to meet you both! After leaving Banfield as a result of increased travel I went into business for myself. I currently only work from home and no more than a couple days a week. As you can imagine it can get lonely and I look forward to having your pet come stay with me. I try to stay active and walk daily to a nearby hiking trail. It's a good walk it takes about an hour and there is a dog park within the trail which is nice for dogs who get along well with others and are healthy enough to participate. Even when they don't get along with others sometimes if you go in the evening closer to dusk the park is empty and its nice to play fetch within the fenced in area. I live in an apartment but don't allow that to fool you, we have a huge courtyard and as I mentioned there is a hiking trail and dog park nearby to keep busy.

About: I've worked via Rover for about six months (as of mid-July '26) -- during which time I've had many highly-satisfied customers, both recurring and one-time. I have cared for a wide range of dogs, from a massive greyhound to an uncharacteristically aggressive male lab to a 20-year-old miniature requiring loving TLC. Prior to Rover, I've taken care of two family dogs who became family members, one of which I rescued from a neglectful owner. I was a hands-on dad to my son (now grown), got him the care he needed to survive and thrive as a preemie, and as a single parent knew well how to feed and change him and care for him when he was sick. As a senior, I have the experience and "seasoning" to know what's important, whether it's an infant or child or a family dog or a person with a disability or a senior like myself. So I know how to see to it that the one in my care is well cared for, happy, and loved. Since the condo development where my wife and I live doesn't allow dogs, I take special pleasure in spending time with them at every opportunity. I come from a long line of dog lovers on my dad's side, and I proudly carry on that tradition. I keep as active as the vicissitudes of age allow, and currently am able to hike, play pickleball, and have recently returned to tennis, 5K runs, and kayaking. That fitness enables me to have what it takes to care for dogs of all ages and stages. I'm a retiree who does part-time volunteer work, both hands-on with elementary-school-aged children and legislative and policy advocacy on behalf of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My other major activities are staying in shape and learning a foreign language. These part-time gigs, and the fact that my wife works part-time, leave me enough time to do some pet care. I cannot care for pets in my home, or for that matter have a dog, because the condo development where I live does not permit dogs. I care for dogs in their owner's homes, following their owners' lead, so to speak, and according to their owners' directives. Fortunately, this means that the dogs I care for, who know their way around their own turf, do not need to adjust to new environs. As a guest myself, I am naturally inclined to treat the home where I find myself with extra care and respect, more so than I would my own home.

About: I have been a zoo keeper for the past 3 years, and have worked with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I grew up with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and have lived with a yellow lab. I have spent time looking after family and friends’ pets many times before! I am currently in between zookeeper jobs and am available most days. Thank you! I am experienced with dogs, cats, and many household pets. Very experienced with birds, rodents, and small mammals as well. I do not have the availability to house pets at my home, but I am very willing to travel to the destination that is needed!
