“Mathew and Christianna are the ultimate husband-and-wife dream team! They are incredibly accommodating and genuinely eager to help with whatever we need. Genie always gets a solid, brisk walk and comes home feeling happy and content. The best part is how thrilled Genie is to see them when they arrive—you can tell they share a real, genuine connection. Highly recommend!”

“Helene has been walking my dog since April, and let me tell you she is amazing! Rain or shine, she shows up with a smile on her face, ready for my Lunas unpredictable behavior ;). Luna lights up when she sees her, and honestly, I think she likes Helene more than me now. Zero complaints, just a happy dog and a very grateful dog mom. Highly recommend!”

About: My name is Brandi, I’m 25 years old, and I’m a certified animal lover. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all ages. I currently have a 13-year-old Border Terrier named Krypto, so I understand the patience, attention, and care dogs need. I’m responsible and reliable, and I’m comfortable giving pills, following detailed care instructions, and helping with basic training and tricks. My top priority is making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. I treat every animal I watch as if they were my own and am always happy to send updates and photos if needed. I’m currently in between jobs, so I have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, or playtime. I can make sure your dog gets attention, exercise, and love whenever they need it. Whether it’s a walk or a drop-in visit, your dog gets all the love and attention they deserve including exercise, playtime, and plenty of belly rubs. I stick to their routine, make sure their needs are met, and keep your home safe, clean, and secure while I’m there.
“Hannah managed my dog and the dog I’m currently fostering like a pro! I got extensive details about their walks, and came home to two very happy, well cared for boys at the end of my trip!”

“Alina really helped me in a pinch, visiting from out of town but needing dog walks while here. She was communicative, responsive, punctual and, best of all, she clearly loves dogs & walking! My little guy was always happy to see her and walk with her.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs of all sizes, cats, bunnies, birds, lizards, and even snakes! I’ve cared for pets with a wide range of needs, from administering medications to managing quirky habits. I’m comfortable with all types of dogs, including rescues with boundless energy (I have one myself who can easily jump a 5-foot fence). No matter what comes my way, I provide loving, capable, and competent care. And, I’ll be sure to send lots of photos of my time with your pet :) I have a flexible schedule with availability in the early mornings, afternoons and evenings on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays (with advance notice). I am happy to work with you on a schedule that best fits your pet’s needs. I provide personalized drop-in visits in your home to make sure your pet stays happy, comfortable, and safe. During each visit, I spend quality time with your pet—feeding, giving fresh water, administering any medications, taking dogs for walks/bathroom breaks, and providing plenty of love and attention. I follow your instructions carefully and make sure your home stays tidy. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable and cared for, just as if you were there.
About: I've taken care of two family dogs who became family members, one of which I rescued from a neglectful owner. I was a hands-on dad to my son, and as a single parent knew well how to feed and change him and care for him when he was sick. As a senior, I've the experience and "seasoning" to know what's important, whether it's an infant or child or a family dog, and how to see to it that the one in my care is well cared for, happy, and loved. Since the condo development where my wife and I live doesn't allow dogs, I take special pleasure in spending time with them at every opportunity. I come from a long line of dog lovers on my dad's side, and proudly carry on that tradition. I'm a retiree who does part-time volunteer work, both hands-on with elementary-school-aged children and legislative and policy advocacy on behalf of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My other major activities are staying in shape and learning a foreign language. These part-time gigs, and the fact that my wife works part-time, leave me enough time to do some pet care. I cannot care for pets in my home, or for that matter have a dog, because the condo development where I live does not permit dogs. I care for dogs in their owner's homes, following their owners' lead, so to speak, and according to their owners' directives. Fortunately, this means that the dogs I care for, who know their way around their own turf, do not need to adjust to new environs. As a guest myself, I am naturally inclined to treat the home where I find myself with extra care and respect, more so than I would my own home.
“Cheryl is so kind and wonderful with dogs. We found it thoughtful of her to meet Willow on her work break before walking her for the first time later that day. I highly recommend Cheryl, you know your dog will be lovingly cared for.”

About: Hi! I am a lifelong animal lover with decades of experience caring for pets- my own, as well as those of friends and family. To me, pets are family- and I understand just how much they mean to the people who love them. That's why I believe it's so important to have someone you trust, that will care for your pets with the same love & attention that you would. I'm here to be that person . I work from home so this gives me the flexibility to provide consistent care- whether it is walks, feedings, or check-ins. I'm able to adapt to their needs. I do have a fenced in yard; but I like to create a calm, safe space for my animals and I have a routine to ensure consistency. And not to mention, that they get lots of love and attention!
About: Having booked several Rover sitters for my own dog over the last few years, I understand how important it can be to allow a pet to stay in their own home while you're away. The sitters I met through Rover were vital to my dog's well-being and becoming a better pet owner—I aim to return that same level of care back to others. My most recent pet-care experience was with my late dog Sonny, who was 11 when I foster-failed. I am most familiar with handling separation anxiety, mobility limitations, and other senior dog quirks, but have also cared for younger dogs in the past! Because I work remotely (9-6 ET M-F, variable on the weekends), I can stay with your pet full time as long as l have access to a Wifi network. Please indicate how long your pet is comfortable staying home alone for. If your pet enjoys being out and about, with your permission, I can transport them in my car, equipped with a pet backseat hammock, car leash, and bed. Maintaining a sense of routine and familiarity for your pet(s) remains top of mind for all the services that I offer. I will tailor my care to your pet's temperament and energy level. I am privately insured through Pet Sitters Associates (policy effective until Sept 2026) and have received Pet First Aid/CPR training at 92NY (New York, NY) via Lifesaving Enterprises LLC (Bronx, NY) (November 2025).

About: I have had pets all my life and love animals. I am currently a freshman in college following a pre-vet path to one day become a veterinarian. I am in college and work a part time job but I still have a very flexible schedule! I will always make sure to make time for your pets! I have had pets my whole life! My dogs have a fenced in yard they love to run around in. All of my cats are indoor and love being close to people. I also have 2 bunnies and a tortoise that have their own room with lots of roaming space!
About: I have had 3 dogs of my own, and I have taken care of dogs of all sizes and breeds! Family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me for all their pet needs. I’m a teacher—I’m home all afternoon and evening, and take dogs out before leaving for school. While I’m working, my family and dog is home to play all day! I ensure cleanliness and hygiene for both myself and the pets by cleaning twice a day. I keep the feeding and potty areas separate, and make sure I am cleaning paws and snouts when coming back from walks!
About: I’ve always been an animal person! Growing up surrounded by pets, I’ve had the joy of caring for everything from tiny critters to big, lovable dogs. I’ve also volunteered at veterinary clinics and animal shelters, making sure every animal I meet feels safe, cared for, and loved. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or just keeping them comfortable, I treat every pet like family. As a nursing student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time to pet care. I’m physically active and love staying on the move, which makes walks and playtime even more enjoyable. I’m available for walks two days a week and on weekends, and I’ll always make sure your pets get the exercise and attention they need I’ll come to pick up your dog and take them for a walk around your neighborhood or the nearest park—whichever you prefer. Walks can be as long as you’d like, and I’ll make sure to keep things safe and enjoyable using proper walking practices. After the walk, I’m happy to spend extra time playing and giving your pup attention. I’ll only provide treats if you’re comfortable with it, so your dog’s routine and health always come first.
“Amerasia was prompt and friendly. Since it was her first visit with Sonny he took a little time to warm up but when he did he laid on her feet and smiled up at her. She's an adept and sympathetic sitter. I look forward to using her again.”

“Raquel is very responsible and frendly person. We have a complicated situation, and she responds quickly to our requests. Our dog Lucy is very comfortable with Raquel.Thank you”

About: My journey with caring for pets finally began in my undergraduate career at Rutgers University. Previously, I had helped to care for my aunts pets and took care of my own until we had to give him away. My favorite thing about taking care of your favorite family member is how I can see them adapt to a new environment and warm up to me. It’s beautiful to know that we can all connect w animals in an intimate way. I have a park right next to my house and a wooded area & fenced field where they can run around freely. Making sure they are having a good time and are healthy is my main priority. Dog loving is what I was made for.
“Peter is an enthusiastic and considerate pet care provider! He did an excellent job walking our large dog, taking the time to learn about her tendencies and needs, making sure to accommodate her allergies and health issues. He’s also very prompt and very polite. Will absolutely hire him again!”

Old Tappan dog parents share their Rover experiences
Karen was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly, always showed up on time, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. She stayed in constant communication with both my wife and me, which gave us real peace of mind. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — 10/10 would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone looking for reliable and attentive care.

Mia is absolutely amazing! My dogs adore her and get so excited every time she comes over. She has such a calm and loving energy that instantly puts them at ease. She is incredibly reliable, kind, and trustworthy, qualities that are so important when it comes to caring for our kids. She also house sat for us while we were away, and everything went perfectly. The house was spotless, and our pups were happy and well taken care of. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We will definitely be hiring Mia again and recommending her to all our friends. She truly goes above and beyond.

Kelliann walks our two pups together (a husky and a cockadoodle). From the get go she was very easy to communicate with and she is very punctual which is a lifesaver when things get hectic. Our dogs enjoy her company and she has been very helpful with them. Highly recommend!

Helene has been walking my girl Luna for the past few months, and honestly, I couldn’t ask for anyone better. Luna is sweet but definitely has her quirks. She’s a a tad bit sassy (when it comes to other dogs), super curious, and full of energy. Helene just gets her. And since she's been walking her Luna has been less reactive to people walking by and anything on wheels. With the updates she sends after walks, it’s so clear she truly cares. Luna goes nuts when she sees her. Her tail wags like crazy and she does her strong, happy dance/jump at the door. Now Luna is even aware what time she'll be getting her walk lol. I trust Helene completely. She's reliable, communicative, and so loving with Luna. If you’re looking for someone who will love your dog like their own and handle their "unique" personality with patience and joy, she's basically it!

Michael has been absolutely wonderful with my dog! From the very first meet-and-greet, he was super warm, professional, and clearly great with animals. My dog instantly felt comfortable, and the walk went smoothly. I really appreciate the updates and photos after the walk. It’s clear that my pup is happy, well exercises and in great hands. Michael is punctual, communicative, and always respectful of my home and routine. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring and dependable dog walker. Thank you so much for taking care of my Dashy! We’ll be using Michael for drop in visits and dog sitting soon,
